Harold Hughes joined Rambus after serving nearly two years on Rambus' Board of Directors. As CEO, Hughes provides the overall vision and operational leadership necessary to drive future growth for the company. Prior to joining Rambus, Mr. Hughes was the Chairman and CEO of Pandesic LLC, an Intel and SAP joint venture. He served as a United States Army Officer before starting his private sector career with Intel Corporation in 1974. Mr. Hughes held a variety of positions during his 23 years at Intel Corporation, including Treasurer, the head of Intel Capital, chief financial officer and the head of Planning and Logistics. Mr. Hughes holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from the University of Michigan.

Satish Rishi joined Rambus as senior vice president of Finance and chief financial officer in April 2006. Mr. Rishi is responsible for the overall financial direction of the Company. Prior to joining Rambus, Mr. Rishi held the position of executive vice president of Finance and chief financial officer of Toppan Photomasks, Inc., one of the world’s leading photomask providers. During his 20-year career, Mr. Rishi has held senior financial management positions at semiconductor and electronic manufacturing companies. He served as vice president and assistant treasurer at Dell Inc. Prior to Dell, Mr. Rishi spent 13 years at Intel Corporation, where he held financial management positions both in the United States and overseas, including assistant treasurer. Mr. Rishi holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi University in Delhi, India and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley's Haas School of Business.

Kevin Donnelly, senior vice president, Engineering, co-leads the development and deployment of the Companya s memory and logic interface products. Prior to this position, Mr. Donnelley served as vice-president, Logic Interface Division where he led the development and deployment of logic interface products, including the Rambus family of serial link interfaces. Before joining Rambus, Mr. Donnelly held engineering positions at National Semiconductor, Sipex, and Memorex over an eight-year period. He holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley and a mastera s degree in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University. Mr. Donnelley holds numerous patents in the area of high-speed clocking and I/O circuits.

Sharon Holt, senior vice president, Licensing and Marketing, is responsible for the Company's intellectual property business including strategic planning, business development and licensing of patented innovations and technology solutions to strategic customers and partners. Ms. Holt also oversees all the Company's marketing functions. Ms. Holt joined Rambus in 2004 after holding the position of vice president of Amercias Field Operations at Agilent Technologies where she ran sales and technical support operations for the semiconductor business in the Americas, including ASICs, ASSPs, optical components and wireless ICs. Prior to that, Ms. Holt ran sales operations focused on Agilent's large, global customers. These positions followed 13 years at HP where she managed applications engineering, sales, and distribution channels for HP's components business, as well as holding roles in business development, sales management and global accounts management for HP's ASIC business. Ms. Holt graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a degree in electrical engineering.

Andy Chan, vice president of Engineering, joined Rambus in 1992 and is responsible for the development and deployment of Rambusa memory and logic interface products. Prior to this position, Mr. Chan managed and developed multiple generations of Rambus DRAM interface products, including the first generation of Rambusa RDRAM memory interface as well as the latest XDR interface products. Before joining Rambus, Mr. Chan held engineering and management positions with AMD, IDT and MIPS over a 10-year period. Mr. Chan holds a bachelora s degree in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University and a mastera s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

David Nguyen, vice president of Engineering, leads system and application engineering and customer support for all Rambus products. Mr. Nguyen joined Rambus in 1995 and has been involved with signal integrity and system engineering before becoming a vice president in March 2006. Prior to Rambus, Mr. Nguyen held various engineering positions designing fault-tolerance super computers, storage systems, and communication products during a nine-year tenure at Tandem Computers. Mr. Nguyen holds a bachelora s degree in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley, a mastera s degree in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University, and has received several patents in high-speed physical system designs.

John T.C. Ho, vice president of Engineering, joined Rambus in 1992 and is responsible the development and deployment of various high-speed ASIC interface products. Prior to this position, Mr. Ho held various engineering positions at Rambus and participated in many important ASIC product developments. Before joining Rambus, Mr. Ho held engineering positions at Tera MicroSystems and Altera Corporation. Mr. Ho holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the SooChow University in Taipei, Taiwan and a mastera s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri, Columbia.

Joseph J. Curry, vice president of Corporate Development, joined Rambus in April 2006 and is responsible for the acquisition of technologies and businesses for the Company. Prior to joining Rambus, Dr. Curry was the president and CEO of TriCN, Inc., a startup firm that designed and licensed semiconductor intellectual property. In 1990, Dr. Curry founded Trilix Ventures, a technology services firm focused on technology management, strategic alliances for corporate funding, strategic acquisitions, and the licensing of semiconductor intellectual property. Starting his career at Bell Laboratories, Dr. Curry has held senior management and executive positions at Electronic Arrays, Monolithic Memories, Four Phase Systems, StorageTek, and Technology Strategies & Alliances (H&Q Technology Partners). Dr. Curry holds a bachelora s degree in Physics from St. Josepha s University and a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Pennsylvania.

Kent Richardson, vice president of Intellectual Property, joined Rambus in January 2003 and leads the development of the Company's intellectual property portfolio through an integrated program of engineering, marketing and legal resources. Prior to Rambus, Mr. Richardson served as vice president, general counsel and secretary for Numerical Technologies, Inc., where he was an integral part of the team that closed patent license agreements with industry-leading companies. Before joining Numerical Technologies, Mr. Richardson was an attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati where he provided strategic patent counsel to his clients. Mr. Richardson holds both a bachelora s degree in Computer Engineering and bachelor of law degree from the University of Alberta, is a registered patent attorney and a member of the California bar.

Ms. Stark joined Rambus in 1996 as strategic accounts manager, and held the positions of strategic accounts director and vice president, Alliances and Infrastructure, before assuming the position of vice president, Memory Interface Division in October 2000, which she held until February 2005 when she was appointed to head up the Company’s Platform Solutions Group. In May 2008, she was appointed to her current position. Prior to joining Rambus, Ms. Stark held various positions in the semiconductor products division of Motorola during a six-year tenure, including technical sales engineer for the Apple sales team and field application engineer for the Sun and SGI sales teams. Ms. Stark holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Michael Schroeder joined Rambus in June 2004 as vice president of Human Resources. Mr. Schroeder is responsible for maintaining the open and collaborative culture at Rambus as well as leading the Company's efforts to implement compensation practices that align individual objectives with corporate goals. Prior to Rambus, Mr. Schroeder served as vice president of Human Resources for Digital Think and prior to that held various positions at Synopsys, Inc., most recently as vice president, Human Resources for Business Group Operations. Mr. Schroeder has also held human resources positions at Alphabox Corporation and Apple Computer. Mr. Schroeder attended the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee as a Russian Language major.

Craig Hampel, technical director and Rambus Fellow, is extensively involved in the development and deployment of the Companya s leading-edge technology. Mr. Hampel has led engineering efforts for Rambusa patented interface designs that have enabled highly-successful products across computing, communications and consumer electronics. Mr. Hampela s development of memory solutions at Rambus spans more than 13 years and he is an inventor on 192 issued or pending patents in the area of high-speed memory and interface technology. Prior to joining Rambus, Mr. Hampel developed high performance memory solutions more than 17 years at companies such as Altos, Acer, and Olivetti. Mr. Hampel holds a bachelora s degree from the University of Illinois.

U.S. District Judge Abraham Sofaer joined our board of directors on May 4, 2005. He has been the George P. Shultz Distinguished Scholar and Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University since 1994 and is also a professor of law, by courtesy, at Stanford University Law School. Mr. Sofaer has a long and distinguished career in the legal profession and international law. Prior to assuming his current roles, he served in private practice as a partner at Hughes, Hubbard & Reed in Washington, DC and as the chief legal adviser to the U.S. Department of State. From 1979 to 1985, Mr. Sofaer served as a U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York. Prior to that, Mr. Sofaer was a professor at the Columbia University School of Law, and from 1967 to 1969 was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York. Mr. Sofaer graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in history from Yeshiva College and received his law degree from the New York University School of Law where he was editor-in-chief of the NYU Law Review before beginning clerkships with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and with Justice William J. Brennan, Jr. in the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Sofaer currently serves on two other public boards and is on the international advisory committee for Chugai Pharmaceuticals, a large Japanese pharmaceutical company that is a subsidiary of Roche.

Mr. Bentley has served as a director of Rambus since March 11, 2005. He has been a Managing Director at SVB Alliant (formerly Alliant Partners), a mergers and acquisitions firm, since he co founded the firm in 1990. Mr. Bentley currently serves on the board of Nanometrics Inc. Mr. Bentley holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University and a Masters of Science in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mike Farmwald is a serial entrepreneur with one of the most successful track records in Silicon Valley. Known for his unique combination of computer engineering skill and market vision, Mike has founded six companies to date, five of which were financed in part by Benchmark Capital, where he is a Venture Partner. Mike is probably best known for cofounding Rambus Inc., a developer of high-bandwidth interfaces for memories and other chips. After founding the company in 1990, Mike served as Vice President and Chief Scientist, overseeing the development of several key innovations, including the 1992 introduction of the world's first 4 Mbit RDRAM. In 1993, Mike cofounded Chromatic Research, a privately held developer of media processors for the PC industry. Mike served on the board of Chromatic Research until the company was acquired by ATI Technologies in November 1998. In 1996, Mike cofounded Epigram, creator of advanced semiconductor home networking technology, which helped revolutionize high-speed networking connectivity within the home. Epigram was acquired by Broadcom in April 1999. In late 1997, Mike cofounded Matrix Semiconductor, a pre-IPO start-up backed by Skymoon, Benchmark and Microsoft, among others. Prior to his success at Rambus, Mike founded FTL in 1986. FTL, an ECL supercomputing company, merged with MIPS in the same year. At MIPS, Mike served as Chief Scientist for High End Systems. Following his experience at MIPS, Mike was an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois. Mike holds a BS degree in Mathematics from Purdue University and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University. He currently sits on the boards of Rambus (Nasdaq: RMBS), Matrix Semiconductor, and Circumnav Networks.

Ms. Herscher has served on Rambus' board since July 2006. She currently holds the position president and chief executive officer of firstRain, a custom-configured, on-demand intelligence services firm. Prior to joining firstRain, Ms. Herscher held the position of executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Cadence Design Systems. From 1996 to 2002, Ms. Herscher was president and chief executive officer of Simplex Solutions, which was acquired by Cadence in 2002. Before Simplex, she was an executive at Synopsys for eight years and started her career as an R&D engineer with Texas Instruments. Ms. Herscher serves on the boards of firstRain, the Anita Borg Institute, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, and California Community Partners for Youth. She holds a bachelor's degree with honors in mathematics from Cambridge University in England.

"Dr. Sunlin Chou joined the Rambus board in March 2006 after a 34-year career at Intel Corporation where he most recently served as senior vice president and general manager of the Technology and Manufacturing Group. Dr. Chou was part of Intel's early core staff of development engineers. He designed Intel's first charge-coupled device (CCD) serial memory and went on to oversee development of several generations of dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) chips. He also led development of industry leading wafer fabrication processes for Intel's logic and memory products, and reduced the development cycle down from three years to two. His successes helped inspire and validate Moore's Law. In November 2002, Dr. Chou was recognized by Scientific American magazine as one of the ""Scientific American 50"" for leading the development of new materials that made possible the 130 nanometer standard used in the current generation of processor chips. Dr. Chou holds a B.S., M.S. and E.E. in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. "
