Brian Stevens joined Red Hat's senior management team in 2001 and has been critical to the company's enterprise operating system, storage and virtualization strategies. As CTO and Vice President, Engineering, he manages Red Hat's research and development organizations for Linux, virtualization, security, messaging, and systems management. Stevens began his career at Digital Equipment Corporation, where he was a developer on the first commercial release of the X Windows System. In his 14 years at Digital, he went on to become a senior member of technical staff, where he was responsible for the architecture and development of the UNIX and clustering product lines. Stevens earned a bachelor's of science degree in Computer Science from the University of New Hampshire and a master's of science in Computer Systems from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Charlie Peters brings to Red Hat over 30 years of financial leadership including 20 years in publicly traded companies. Peters formerly held the position of Chief Financial Officer with multi-national Burlington Industries. From 1991 to 1995, Peters was Senior Vice President Finance at Boston Edison Company, a NYSE-listed $1.5 billion electric power company serving the Boston area. Prior to that, for six years he served as Chief Financial Officer at GenRad, Inc., a NYSE-listed multi-national manufacturer of scientific test equipment. Peters began his career with Price Waterhouse in 1973, serving in Boston and London in the audit division. Peters is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts as well as a Master of Science in Finance from Bentley College.

With Red Hat since 2003, Alex Pinchev leads the company's worldwide sales, services, and field marketing organizations. As Executive Vice President and President, Alex drives strategic relationships with global customers and business partners while overseeing geographical and US public sector operations. His business and technology leadership has been instrumental in the company's tremendous international growth and expansion into emerging markets. During the course of his 25-year career, Alex has built exceptional entrepreneurial and international acumen and has led several successful start-up companies, including MainControl, Inc., where he served as chairman, president, CEO, and founder.

With more than 20 years of business and legal experience in the global marketplace, Michael Cunningham joined Red Hat in June 2004 as General Counsel. Prior to joining Red Hat, Cunningham served as Associate General Counsel for IBM as well as Partner and Associate General Counsel for PricewaterhouseCoopers. At IBM, Cunningham was head legal advisor to the Business Consulting Services division for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), as well as a member of the global Senior Management Team for Business Consulting Services. At PricewaterhouseCoopers, Cunningham's work included global responsibility for the delivery of transactional legal services to PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, as well as the role of lead lawyer in EMEA for this business. Before entering the practice of law, Cunningham was an engineer with Sperry Defense Electronics — now Unisys. Cunningham earned a BS in Applied Mathematics and Statistics at State University of New York at Stony Brook and a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He is a member of numerous professional and legal organizations, including the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association and the Computer Law Association.

Cormier leads Red Hat's technology and products organizations, including engineering, product management and product marketing for Red Hat's technologies. Cormier joined Red Hat in May 2001 as Executive Vice President, Engineering. Paul Cormier's leadership and experience in enterprise technology has led to the introduction of Red Hat's acclaimed line of enterprise products, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Cormier has been instrumental in forging tight partnerships with many leading technology companies. Prior to coming to Red Hat, he served as senior vice president of research and development at BindView, helping the company achieve market leadership in 2000. Cormier holds a Master of Science in Software Development and Management from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Tom Rabon brings more than 25 years of experience working in government and the private sector to lead Red Hat's government affairs and public policy initiatives. He worked extensively with governments around the world to create market opportunities in emerging markets such as China and South America. Rabon recently served as vice president of Global Government Affairs at Lucent for six years. He led a team of government professionals in the US and other countries who were responsible for representation of Lucent with all local, state, federal, and international governments. Prior to that, he spent 13 years as a state vice president of Law and Government Affairs at AT&T, and also served in the North Carolina State Legislature. Rabon received a BA in political science from the University of North Carolina.

DeLisa Alexander, Senior Vice President, People and Brand, leads the organization responsible for Red Hat's people and brand efforts, including the global human resources team, Red Hat University, and the corporate brand team. The organization's mission is to be a strategic partner to the business in acquiring, developing, and retaining talent and to enhance the Red Hat culture and brand. In 2006, Triangle Business Journal named Red Hat one of the Best Places to Work in the North Carolina Triangle. Alexander joined Red Hat in 2001 and served in the office of General Counsel until mid-2006, most recently as Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary. During this time, Alexander was responsible for, among other items, equity and executive compensation, trademark, copyright, and employment matters. Alexander also advised the company's management and board of directors on securities and corporate governance. Prior to joining Red Hat, Alexander was associated with the law firm Kilpatrick Stockton where she focused on mergers, acquisitions, venture capital, and intellectual property licensing. She started her career as a judicial clerk for the Honorable William B Chandler, Chancellor of the renowned Delaware Court of Chancery. Alexander graduated magna cum laude with a BBA from James Madison University, holds an MBA from University of Baltimore and earned her Juris Doctor, with distinction, from George Mason University.

Scott Crenshaw holds P&L responsibility for Red Hat Platform Business Unit, which includes Red Hat Enterprise Linux as well as the company's MRG, storage and client product lines. Scott co-leads the Platform Business Unit with Brian Stevens, CTO and VP of Engineering. Prior to joining Red Hat, Scott was Chief Executive Officer of NTRU, a leading innovator in security technology whose investors included Greylock, Lehman Brothers, Sony, and Texas Instruments. Scott held a number of executive positions at enterprise software vendor Datawatch, including Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of Product Development. Earlier, he held engineering roles at IBM and start-ups. Scott is a Sloan Fellow at the MIT Sloan School of Management; he received an MBA from MIT and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from North Carolina State University.

Ewing is the co-founder of the creative technology company Red Hat and served as its Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer until December 1999. He is currently committed to the advancement of open source and serves on the board of the Center for the Public Domain. He is an avid mountaineer and a high country film and photography enthusiast.

Maria Moore brings to the GovMark Council over 16 years of marketing experience in the government IT, non-profit, and entertainment industries which gives her a diverse background and perspective in marketing strategies. Currently, Maria Moore is the Director of Public Sector Marketing for RedHat. Red Hat is the recognized leader in enterprise solutions that take full advantage of the quality and performance provided by the open source model and Maria is responsible for the strategy and execution of the team's campaigns, public relations, and messaging for the Public Sector. Prior to RedHat, Maria was Vice President of Merlin International, a Veteran-owned, SBA-certified 8(a) Solution Integrator in Vienna, VA. Prior to joining Merlin International, Maria held several marketing management positions within TIBCO Software, FileNet Corporation, and IBM Software Group---all focusing on the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns to increase market share and brand awareness within the Public Sector, Maria manages all marketing, public relations, and media efforts targeting government agencies as well as Federal Systems Integrators and Partners. Before entering the Government IT industry as the VP of Marketing for the Fox Modeling and Talent Agency, Maria not only was in charge of marketing agency services to corporate clients and for the choreography and production of fashion shows throughout the DC area, she also lead a team placing models and actors in commercials (print, TV, and radio), movies, and fashion shows around the world. The producer of modeling competitions all around the United States and Canada, Maria also served as a talent scout for agencies out of New York, Los Angeles, Milan, Tokyo, and Japan.

Simon is currently Regional Sales Director for Red Hat in Dallas, TX. Simon works directly with some of the world's top ten Internet companies and Wall Street banks. His career has included manager at a leveraged hedge fund, partner at Nexgenix, and management consulting roles at HP, Cap Gemini and Sema Group in Europe and North America.

Greg DeKoenigsberg is Community Development Manager for Red Hat. He has served the Fedora community in several roles, most notably as the founding chairman of the Fedora Extras Committee. He has been with Red Hat since 2001. He believes the children are our future.

Alexandre Oliva has been a compiler engineer at Red Hat since February, 2000. He's been involved in the development of GCC since mid 1990s, having also co-maintained more than a dozen other Free Software projects, most of them development tools, over the past 15 years. He graduated as Computing Engineer and Master in Computer Sciences at the University of Campinas, Brazil, where he still has a thin hope of obtaining a doctorate degree in Computer Sciences. He is co-founder and board member of Free Software Foundation Latin America.

Jesse Keating, a Senior Software Engineer for Red Hat, Inc., is the lead Fedora Release Engineer. He has been involved in the Fedora community since its inception and has been a member of various Fedora committees throughout.

Steve Dickson is a kernel Engineer at Red Hat. For the last five years or so he has been responsible for NFS, NIS, CIFS, and QUOTA packages (both kernel and user level). His responsibilities include both RHEL and Fedora releases. In prior lives he worked on DEC's Tru Cluster product as well as a short stint working in the Infiniband world writing both user and kernel applications for the Linux. Steve started his career at Lachman Associates developing and supporting SCO's NFS implementation.

Matthew J. Szulik was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors in April 2002, and he has served as Chief Executive Officer since November 1999, as President since November 1998 and as a director since April 1999. Mr. Szulik also served as Chief Operating Officer from November 1998 to April 1999. From September 1997 to October 1998, Mr. Szulik served as President of Relativity Technologies, a computer software company. Prior to joining Relativity Technologies, Mr. Szulik served as an executive with Sapiens International and MapInfo Corp. Mr. Szulik is also a director of Tibco Software Inc. (NASDAQ:TIBX).

Dr. Fox has been Chancellor of the University of California San Diego and Distinguished Professor of Chemistry at that institution since 2004. She was Chancellor of North Carolina State University from 1998 to 2004. She is also a director of Boston Scientific Corporation, Red Hat, Inc. and Pharmaceutical Product Development, Inc.

General H. Hugh Shelton , 66, U.S. Army (Retired), has served as a director since April 2003 and as Lead Director since March 2008. From January 2002 until April 2005, General Shelton served as the President, International Operations, for M.I.C. Industries, an international manufacturing company. General Shelton served as the 14th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from October 1997 until September 2001. General Shelton also serves on the board of directors of Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc. (NYSE:BUD), an operator of beer, packaging and entertainment companies, CACI International Inc. (NYSE:CAI), a provider of IT and network products and services, and Ceramic Protection Corporation (TSX:CEP), a manufacturer of protective armor products.
