The company has over 6,460 screens at about 550 theaters in 40 states. It focuses on in-theatre advertising, business meetings, and nonfeature film content distribution. Its brands include Regal Cinemas, United Artists, and Edwards Theatres. The company has annual revenue of about $2.5 billion and employs about 25,000 people. In July 2005 the company acquired from Eastern Federal Corporation a total of 21 Eastern Federal theatres representing 230 screens in exchange for approximately $125.2 million in cash.
