Ralph Gronefeld, 47, became president and CEO of ResCare on June 22, 2006. He continues to serve in his previous capacity as president of the company's Community Services Group, and was named to the company's board of directors in fall 2006. He has served the company as executive vice president - Operations of the Division for Persons with Disabilities, chief financial officer, executive vice president of Operations for the Division for Youth Services and vice president responsible for two youth subsidiaries. Mr. Gronefeld, a certified public accountant, joined ResCare in June 1995 as director of Internal Audit. Previously, he was president of a graphic arts firm.

Ronald G. Geary is chairman of the ResCare board of directors. An attorney and CPA, he has served as a director of the Company since 1990, president from 1990 to 2006, and chief executive officer from 1993 to 2006. Mr. Geary was chief operating officer from 1990 to 1993. Before joining ResCare, he served for three years as president of Cincinnati Bible College and four years as secretary of revenue in the cabinet of Kentucky Governor John Y. Brown. He also practiced in the areas of law and accounting, and held a number of positions in state and local government.

Patrick G. Kelley rejoined ResCare in January 2008 as President of the Community Services Group, which is ResCare’s largest operating group. He had served as President of a division of The Rawlings Company, an insurance claims recovery company since April 2006. Mr. Kelley was employed by ResCare for more than 19 years, previously serving as Senior Vice President from 2003 to 2006, Vice President of Operations of ResCare’s Central Region from 1999 to 2003, and as regional vice president for 12 states.

David S. Waskey joined ResCare as General Counsel in May 1992. Prior to this he was a partner in the Louisville, Kentucky office of Alagia, Day, Trautwein & Smith. Before beginning the practice of law in 1984, Mr. Waskey was a Certified Public Accountant in public practice.
Mr. Waskey has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Kentucky, as well as a bachelor of science in commerce (accounting) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville.

David W. Miles, a certified public accountant, has served as Chief Financial Officer since 2005 and he served as Vice President, Controller from 2001 to 2006 with responsibility for overseeing all aspects of the accounting function including financial reporting and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. He joined ResCare in March 1998 as Director of Financial Reporting. Prior to joining ResCare, Mr. Miles was with Ernst & Young LLP for ten years.

George Watts is the Chief Information Officer, Chief Project Officer and a member of ResCare’s executive leadership team.
Mr. Watts joined ResCare in November of 1994 as manager of application development and has led Rescare’s information technology department since 1996. He has led the project management office since 2006. George is responsible for all aspects of IT including strategic planning, business systems development and implementation, strategic technologies, IT operations and strategic project management.
Ms. Watts has 30 years experience in information technology, project management, strategic planning and business system implementations across multiple business lines. Mr. Watts has a BA degree from Eastern Kentucky University with a major in information technology and a minor in business.

Kelley Abell is a partner in Capitol Solutions, LLC. She assists clients with legislative and regulatory concerns across all levels of government. Prior to joining Capitol Solutions, Kelley served as Chief Government Relations Officer of ResCare, Inc. She has also served in a variety of positions in both national and state political organizations. On the national level she held various roles with the Republican National Committee including -- Regional Director for the Presidential Trust, Regional Finance Director and Director of Local programs. In Kentucky she served as the Administrative Officer for the United States Attorney, Western District and was the Executive Director of the Republican Party. Kelley serves on a number of government affairs steering committees including her current chairmanship of the lobbying task force for the National Advocacy Campaign; she also serves on the board of The Healing Place and is past board member for the Brain Injury Association of Kentucky Kelley attended the American University in Washington, D.C. and the University of Louisville earning a bachelor's degree in Communications with a minor in Economics

Nel Taylor joined ResCare in November of 1998 as vice president of communication. Her responsibilities include oversight of all internal and external communication, including public and media relations.
Prior to joining ResCare, Ms. Taylor served as director of communications for Columbia/HCA Hospitals in Louisville, Kentucky with responsibility for media and employee communication efforts.
Ms. Taylor has 20 years experience in the news field, during which time she worked in televison and newsprint as a reporter, anchor, producer and editor. Ms. Taylor has a BA from the University of West Florida.

Olivia F. Kirtley has been a director of ResCare since 1998. She has served as vice president of finance and chief financial officer of Vermont American Corporation and is currently a consultant. Richard L. Tinsley joined ResCare in 2007 as Chief Development Officer overseeing all the company’s acquisition, growth and marketing efforts.
An attorney and certified public accountant, Mr. Tinsley has experience in the home healthcare field as vice president of compliance and business development with Almost Family and in U.S. and international planning and analysis as senior manager with Yum! Brands, Inc. Most recently he conducted his own consulting and legal practice serving as chief financial officer and legal counsel for a number of companies that were in transition and needed expert guidance.

Michael J. Reibel is Senior Vice President Support Services for ResCare. Mr. Reibel joined ResCare in 1993 as Controller for the Division for Persons with Disabilities. Since 1993, Mr. Reibel has worked in a variety of finance and accounting roles. In March 2002, he was named Vice President Planning and Analysis-Community Services Group focusing on operational financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting. In April 2006, he was named Senior Vice President Support Services. Before joining ResCare, Mr. Reibel, a Certified Public Accountant, worked for the public accounting firm of KPMG Peat Marwick in Louisville, Kentucky as an audit manager serving clients in the manufacturing, health care and public utility industries.
Mr. Reibel holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Bellarmine University, Louisville, Kentucky.

William E. Brock has served as a director since 2006. He is chairman of The Brock Offices, a firm specializing in international trade, investment and human resources which he founded in 1988. From 1985 to 1987, Mr. Brock served as the U.S. Secretary of Labor, and from 1981 to 1985, as the U.S. Trade Representative. Robert E. "Bob" Hallagan became Chairman of the National Association of Corporate Directors in January 2006. He is currently Vice Chairman of Heidrick & Struggles. From 1991 to 1997, Mr. Hallagan successfully led Heidrick & Struggles to record revenue growth and profitability as CEO of the firm. From 1981 to 1991, he was the Managing Partner of the Boston office, which he joined in 1977. Mr. Hallagan serves as Chairman of the NACD's Center for Board Leadership, a 501c3 organization, where he oversees its mission of developing "Best Practices" for effective board leadership. With a distinguished career in financial services before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Mr. Hallagan was Executive Vice President of the Boston Stock Exchange, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Hawthorne Securities, and a Loan Officer with Citibank.
