The Esprit critical care ventilator enables speech without a one-way valve, which simplifies the first step toward liberation for some patients. The NICO2 respiratory profile monitor helps clinicians assess patient readiness for self-breathing trials, and the Cadence system, indicated for the treatment of hypoxemia, can be used to support patients during these trials, which are typically the final bridge to liberation.
