Bryan K. Stockdale is president and chief executive officer of Conwood Company, LLC, a subsidiary of Reynolds American Inc. (RAI). He assumed this position in February 2009. Stockdale was previously senior vice president of consumer and trade marketing operations for RAI's largest subsidiary, R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, in Winston-Salem. Stockdale joined R.J. Reynolds in 1979 as an area sales representative. After holding a variety of management positions in field sales, he was promoted to national sales planning manager in 1988. In 1990, Stockdale was promoted to marketing manager and was then named senior marketing manager, working with the Camel, Winston and Salem cigarette brands. Stockdale was promoted to director wholesale strategies and program development in 1994, and was named director of retail and wholesale trade marketing the following year. In 1996, he became vice president of sales strategy and operations, and was promoted to senior vice president of R. J. Reynolds' consumer and trade marketing operations in 2006. Stockdale is a native of Painesville, Ohio. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in marketing from High Point University in North Carolina. He is also a graduate of Darden Business School's Strategic Marketing Management Program.

Thomas R. Adams is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Reynolds American Inc. He joined the company in 1999 as senior vice president and controller of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Holdings, Inc. (RJR). He was named senior vice president and chief accounting officer for Reynolds American and R.J. E. Julia "Judy" Lambeth is executive vice president and general counsel of Reynolds American Inc. Lambeth joined Reynolds American in September 2006, following a career with DuPont, its Conoco energy subsidiary and Conoco's successor, ConocoPhillips, which included a wide range of assignments in corporate, commercial and environmental law, and litigation. She joined DuPont as an attorney in 1977 and focused primarily on environmental issues until 1992, when she moved to Houston and subsequently became assistant general counsel for Conoco.
From 1993 to 1997, Lambeth led the group that provided environmental, safety and health regulatory and litigation counsel to all of Conoco's operations and to DuPont facilities in Texas and Louisiana. In 1997, she moved to Hong Kong, where she served as associate general counsel of DuPont's business in the Asia-Pacific region. Lambeth returned to the United States in 2001 and served as Conoco's corporate secretary and deputy general counsel through Conoco's 2002 merger with Phillips Petroleum. She served as ConocoPhillips' corporate secretary and deputy general counsel, corporate services, from 2002 to 2006.
Lambeth is a member of the N.C. Bar and the Wake Forest Law School Board of Visitors.
A native of Winston-Salem, N.C., Lambeth earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Hollins University in 1973 and a Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University in 1977.

E. Kenan "Ken" Whitehurst is senior vice president strategy and business development for Reynolds American, Inc. Whitehurst joined Reynolds Tobacco in 1988 as a financial analyst and held financial and marketing positions of increasing responsibility before being promoted to vice president marketing in January 2000. He was promoted to vice president of corporate business development in January 2001, and to vice president of investor relations for Reynolds American in July 2004, when R.J. Robert D. Stowe is senior vice president of trade marketing for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company.
Stowe joined R.J. Reynolds in 2004 when the company merged with Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp. Stowe began his career with Brown & Williamson in 1981 as a sales representative in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mr. Withington has been director, legal and security, and group general counsel of BAT, the world's second largest publicly traded tobacco group, since August 2000. Mr. Durante joined BAT's Brazilian subsidiary, Souza Cruz, in 1981, and has held a number of financial and managerial positions for BAT affiliates in Europe, South America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. In 1996 he was seconded to BAT's head office in London as marketing finance controller, and he was appointed finance director in Hong Kong in 1998. He returned to Brazil in 2002 as finance director for Souza Cruz and was appointed general manager of Souza Cruz later that year. He became BAT's regional director for Africa and the Middle East in March 2006.
Nicholas A. Bumbacco is president and chief executive officer of Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company, Inc., a subsidiary of Reynolds American Inc. (RAI). He assumed this position in March 2009. Bumbacco was previously president of RAI's R.J. Reynolds Global Products, Inc. (GPI). Prior to September 2007, he spent two years as president and chief executive officer of Lane, Limited, another RAI subsidiary. Bumbacco has 19 years of U.S. and international tobacco experience with the British American Tobacco (BAT) group of companies and with RAI. He started his tobacco career as a field sales representative for Imperial Tobacco Ltd. in Canada and progressed through a number of managerial positions before moving to the United States in 1994 as the national sales manager, heading up Imperial Tobacco's international expansion. In 1996, Bumbacco moved to Malaysia as the regional trade marketing director for BAT Malaysia. He returned to the United States in 1999 as the Minneapolis region director for Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corporation, and moved to B&W's headquarters as director of specialty markets in 2000. In 2001, Bumbacco was appointed director of sponsorship & HoReCa, overseeing the company's CART racing program and its consumer communication & entertainment programs. He became director of strategic account management in November of 2001 and held that position until March of 2004. In 2004, Bumbacco was promoted to vice president of trade marketing at Lane, Limited. He was promoted to president and chief executive officer of Lane in 2005 and assumed his previous position at GPI in 2007. Bumbacco is a native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. He holds a bachelor's of science degree in business management from Lake Superior State University in Michigan.

General John T. Chain, Jr. (USAF, Ret.) has served as a member of the Board of Directors since May 1995 and was the Chairman of the Board of Directors from May 1998 until January 2008. He served as the President of Quarterdeck Equity Partners Inc., an investor in the aerospace industry, from June 1996 to June 2001. He served as Special Assistant to the Chairman of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation, a major U.S. freight railroad, from November 1995 to March 1996, and as an Executive Vice President of Burlington Northern from 1991 to November 1995. From 1986 to 1991, he served as a General (Commander-in-Chief, the Strategic Air Command) in the United States Air Force. General Chain was a member of the boards of directors of ConAgra Foods, Inc., a packaged food company, and Kemper Insurance, a property and casualty insurance company. General Chain was lead independent director of Northrop Grumman Corporation, a provider of products, service, and solutions in information and services, aerospace, electronics, and shipbuilding until May 2001, and was lead independent of Reynolds American, a manufacturer of cigarettes. He was a member of the board of directors of RJR Nabisco, Inc. (which became R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Holdings, Inc., or RJR) from 1994 until June 1999, a member of the board of directors Nabisco Group Holdings Corp., the former parent of RJR, from 1994 to December 2000, and a member of the RJR board of directors from June 1999 through July 2004 and lead director of Reynolds American Corp. from July 2004 to May 2008.
