In support of this mission, the RIAA works to protect intellectual property rights worldwide and the First Amendment rights of artists; conducts consumer, industry and technical research; and monitors and reviews state and federal laws, regulations and policies. Garth Brooks is the highest-certified solo artist in U.S. music history according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). With over 100 million albums certified since 1989, Mr. Brooks is the fastest-selling album artist in RIAA history and is the only male artist in RIAA history to have four albums top the 10 million mark.
