Paul Czeladnicki is the Executive Director of Rivkin Radler LLP. In that capacity he serves as the Chief Financial and Operating Officer and is responsible for all day-to-day administrative and financial activities. Mr. Czeladnicki has more than thirty years experience as an Executive Director/Legal Administrator. He is a Past President of the Association of Legal Administrators, New York City Chapter; as well as Past Treasurer of the Association of Legal Administrators, New York City Chapter. Mr. Czeladnicki is a former Board Member of the Financial Management Section and has co-authored a portion of the handbook used in Financial Management Course I in conjunction with the Association of Legal Administrators. Brian Ade is a Partner in the firm's Insurance & Coverage Litigation and Litigation & Appeals Practice Groups resident in the New Jersey office. He holds the designation, Certified Civil Trial Attorney, from the New Jersey Supreme Court. An experienced trial attorney with expertise in complex civil and commercial litigation, much of Mr. Ade's time is devoted to construction defect, product liability, toxic tort, environmental and insurance coverage cases. He has represented companies and individuals in defense of claims relating to hazardous chemicals and chemical waste, PCB's, dioxin, gasoline, pesticides, lead and asbestos. Among the products he has defended are medical, consumer and industrial devices. In the construction litigation arena, Mr. Ade has represented general contractors, subcontractors and construction materials manufacturers in court, arbitration and mediation. Insurance coverage disputes have constituted a large share of Mr. Ade's practice since 1986. Brian S. Conneely is a Partner in the firm's Employment and Labor Law Practice Group. Mr. Conneely has more than 25 years of experience in employment discrimination litigation in federal and state courts as well as before federal, state and local agencies. He also has extensive litigation experience in non-compete, trade secret, partnership, fiduciary and shareholder litigations and securities arbitrations. Harris J. Zakarin is a Partner in Rivkin Radler's Litigation and Appeals Practice Group. He is resident in the Uniondale, New York office. Leonard L. Rivkin is the founding partner of Rivkin Radler. Mr. Rivkin now serves as Of Counsel. Mr. Rivkin has decades of experience as national trial counsel on high-profile, landmark and precedent-setting cases; having served as lead counsel on the Agent Orange class action suits, as national coordinating counsel for a major asbestos manufacturer in claims against the United States and the company's government contract defense, and represented a major insurer in one of the largest bank failures in American history. He was the Editor in Chief of the Hazardous Waste and Toxic Tort national monthly newsletter. An avid boatman, Mr. Rivkin is a member of the Governing Board of New York State Maritime Academy and has published articles on cruising. Mr. Rivkin was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws by Hofstra University School of Law, and he has been honored by the American Committee on Soviet Jewery, Long Island Epilepsy Foundation, Boys Town of Italy, Long Island Yeshiva, Cancer Society of the North Palm Beaches, and Shaare Zedek Medical Center of Jerusalem. He counsels and represents insurance companies in connection with a wide variety of claims, including toxic tort, environmental, product liability, construction defect and construction accidents and other emerging coverage claims and in declaratory judgment litigation around the country. Serving as defense liaison counsel, Mr. Kotula has coordinated joint defense groups in large declaratory judgment actions, including the Waste Management environmental insurance coverage action in New Jersey involving claims for over $1 billion of insurance coverage at 134 polluted waste sites in 28 states and in Canada. He has served as counsel for a major insurance company in a successful jury trial and subsequent appeals in the ACC Chemical environmental insurance coverage action in Iowa, which sought over $75 million of insurance coverage. A frequent author, Mr. Kotula's publications include: LONG, THE LAW OF LIABILITY INSURANCE, VOL. 2, CHAPTER 10A: Environmental Insurance Coverage Issues (Matthew Bender & Co.). Mr. Kotula has spoken at seminars for the Practicing Law Institute, the American Bar Association, Mealey's and the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, as well as at national and international insurance and reinsurance companies. He was appointed a Vice-Chair of the Excess, Surplus Lines and Reinsurance General Committee of the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association for the 2007-2008 period. Michael E. Buckley is a Partner in the firm's Insurance & Coverage Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Buckley litigates environmental insurance coverage cases for various insurance carriers, including Allstate Insurance Company, Fireman's Fund Insurance Company and Interstate Insurance Company. Mr. Buckley is involved in all aspects of coverage recommendations and negotiations involving environmental claims pending throughout the United States, as well as defense of environmental and toxic tort claims on behalf of insureds of ACE/Century Indemnity and Atlanta International Insurance Company. He is also serving as defense counsel for Chevron Products Company in the metropolitan New York area. Prior to joining Rivkin Radler LLP, Mr. Buckley practiced law in New Jersey, participating in representing the New Jersey Automobile Full Insurance Underwriting Association as general counsel and Princeton Insurance Company in defense of medical malpractice litigation throughout the State of New Jersey. As a sole practitioner in Garden City, Mr. Stafford built a very successful private practice. He is a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education courses (CLE) in both New York and Florida. He was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1976, and has the distinction of having held numerous bar positions usually reserved for resident attorneys. He served five years as a member of the Board of Governors for The Florida Bar, the only New York lawyer ever to serve in this role. He also served two years as a member of the Board's 11-lawyer Executive Committee, and was Chairman of the Long Range Planning Committee of The Florida Bar. To date, he is the only out-of-state lawyer ever to serve in these capacities. Mr. Stafford has been a member of The Florida Bar Probate Law Committee since 1994, and has also been a member of the Executive Council of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar for the past 10 years. Prior to practicing law on a full-time basis, Mr. Stafford worked in journalism, public relations, and politics. He was a sportswriter and later a political reporter and editor for United Press International (UPI) in New York. He was the Sports Information Director at St. John's University, his alma mater. He was vice president of government affairs for the Long Island Association of Commerce and Industry (LIA), as well as being a member of the LIA's Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Garden City Chamber of Commerce, and chairman of the Chamber's Blue Ribbon Committee which was responsible for preserving the last remaining toll lodge of Long Island's Vanderbilt Motor Parkway, the world's first limited-access toll road. Norman L. Tolle is a Partner in Rivkin Radler LLP's Insurance & Coverage Litigation and Litigation & Appeals Practice Groups. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Tolle had been Vice President and Associate General Counsel of The Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States. There, Mr. Tolle had been responsible for complex litigation, including class actions relating to sales of life insurance, and ERISA pension and welfare benefits, as well as litigation involving disability insurance, life insurance, employment and real estate. As a member of the American Council of Life Insurance (ACLI), Mr. Tolle had served as a member of and chaired its Litigation Committee, which provided amicus briefs in state and federal courts throughout the country on matters important to the life insurance industry. Shari C. Lewis is a Partner in the firm's Professional Liability and Intellectual Property Practice Groups. Ms Lewis' practice includes matters involving attorney liability, other professional malpractice claims, medical device and product liability, municipal liability litigation and computer and Internet litigation. Ms. Lewis has handled a variety of subjects underlying legal malpractice claims including real estate, commercial litigation, personal injury litigation, securities, contract disputes, liens and pension benefits, and has represented clients in such diverse claims as malpractice, fraud, R.I.C.O, breach of contract, constitutional violations under 1983, strict product liability and various other tort theories. With particular expertise in the representation of technology companies, Ms. Lewis has handled a variety of liability claims for an Internet registry and the Internet's largest registrar, among others. She has litigated cases involving domain name disputes, freedom of speech, enforceability of contract terms, cyber-piracy, the Anticyber-squatting Act, cyber-hijacking, jurisdiction and trademark violation and dilution in that medium. Ms. Lewis was invited by WIPO to become a member of their panel of neutrals, resolving domain name dispute resolution under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolutions Policy. She has lectured and published articles on the topics of Internet and domain names, attorney malpractice, medical device litigation, computer liabilities and other liability-related issues. Stuart M. Bodoff is a Partner in Rivkin Radler's Litigation & Appeals and Insurance & Coverage Litigation Practice Groups. Mr. Bodoff has handled appeals in insurance coverage and declaratory judgment actions involving issues of lack of inclusion into, as opposed to exclusions from, a policy, and the lack of necessity for a disclaimer of coverage in such circumstances, losses consisting of intentional acts and the issue of timely disclaimers, proper cancellation of policies including disability, commercial and automobile policies, and the interpretation of the Earth Movement exclusion in a Rental Dwelling Policy. Mr. Bodoff regularly handles appeals in Article 75 proceedings to stay arbitration of UM (Uninsured Motorist) or SUM (Supplementary Uninsured Motorist) claims or to vacate arbitration awards. In addition, Mr. Bodoff represents insurers in appeals stemming from actions to recover No-Fault benefits. These appeals often involve complex issues including the eligibility of fraudulently incorporated medical providers who are secretly owned by unlicensed individuals to seek reimbursement of No-Fault benefits, and fraudulent billing by medical providers for unnecessary treatment or treatments not provided. Mr. Bodoff has handled numerous appeals arising out of premises liability, negligence, and professional malpractice cases.
