Peter J. Simone . Mr. Simone has served as a member of our board of directors since March 2006. Mr. Simone has served as an investment consultant and as a consultant to numerous private companies since February 2001. From June 2001 to December 2002, Mr. Simone was Executive Chairman of SpeedFam-IPEC, Inc., a semiconductor equipment company which was acquired by Novellus Systems, Inc. From February 2000 until February 2001, he served as a director and President of Active Controls Experts, Inc. He served as President, Chief Executive Officer and director of Xionics Document Technologies, Inc. from April 1997 until Xionics acquisition by Oak Technology, Inc., in January 2000. Mr. Simone serves on the board of directors for several companies, including Newport Corp., a technology supplier to several industries including microelectronics manufacturing and communications, Veeco Instruments, Inc., an equipment developer and supplier to various industries including data storage and semiconductors, and Cymer, Inc., a supplier of excimer light sources. Mr. Simone is also a member of the board of directors of several private technology companies and the Massachusetts High Technology Council. In addition, he is president of the board of Walker Home and School for Children. Mr. Simone holds a bachelor s degree in accounting from Bentley College and a master s degree in business administration from Babson College.

Ms. Ward has served as a director of SYSCO since September 2001. She is an Outside Managing Director of Intec Telecom Systems PLC. In 1968, Ms. Ward founded, and later served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Computer Generation Incorporated, which was acquired by Intec Telecom in December 2000. Ms. Ward is also a director of Bank of America, Equifax Inc., Flowers Foods, Inc., Matria Healthcare, Inc., PRG-Schultz International, Inc., Sanmina-SCI Corporation and Anthem, Inc. She is a member of the Audit Committee and the Compensation and Stock Option Committee.
Mr. Rosati has been with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati since 1971, specializing in corporate law with an emphasis on high technology companies. In addition to Symyx, he is a director of Aehr Test Systems, Genus, Inc., Sanmina-SCI Corporation, and Vivus, Inc, all public companies, as well as several privately held companies. Mr. Rosati serves on the firm's Executive Management Committee and is the Managing Partner of WS Investments, an investment partnership composed of the members and associates of the firm. He is an adjunct Professor at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Rosati holds a B.A. degree from University of California, Los Angeles, and a J.D. degree from Boalt Hall, UC Berkeley.

Mr. Sapp served as co-chairman of the Sanmina-SCI Board of Directors from December 2001 to December 2002 and continues to serve as a director of Sanmina-SCI. In 1962, Mr. Sapp joined SCI and after holding several positions, was promoted to president and chief operating officer in 1981. In July 1999, Mr. Sapp was appointed chief executive officer of SCI and served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer from July 2000 until our merger with SCI. Mr. Sapp currently serves as a director of Artesyn Technologies.
Mr. Sola has served as our chief executive officer since April 1991, as chairman of our board of directors from April 1991 to December 2001 and from December 2002 to present, and co-chairman of our board of directors from December 2001 to December 2002. In 1980, Mr. Sola co-founded Sanmina and initially held the position of vice president of sales. In October 1987, he became vice president and general manager of Sanmina, responsible for manufacturing operations and sales and marketing. In July 1989, Mr. Sola was elected as a director and in October 1989 was appointed as president of Sanmina. In March 1996, Mr. Sola relinquished the title of president when Mr. Furr was appointed to the position.
Hari Pillai joined us in 1994 and has served in manufacturing management positions since that time. In January 2002, Mr. Pillai was appointed president and general manager of our EMS division and in October 2004 was appointed president, global EMS operations. In October 2008, Mr. Pillai was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer.

Dr. Tehrani is the Global Director of Program Management at Sanmina-SCI (Enclosures division), a leading EMS provider focused on delivering complete end-to-end manufacturing capabilities and highly complex solutions to technology companies around the world. Prior to Sanmina-SCI, he was the managing director of Majital Solutions in Fremont , VP of Sales and Engineering of ACI in Hayward , VP of Operations of COMAN Manufacturing, Inc. in San Jose , Sales Manager of Cobra Systems in Los Gatos , CA and Design Engineer at Stanford Applied Engineering In San Jose, CA. He also has had numerous experiences with successful start-up ventures. Areas of focus include: sales and marketing, design engineering, supply chain & customer relationship management, strategic planning, and corporate management. Dr. Tehrani also has taught Management, E-Marketing and IT related classes at Oulu Polytechnic University in Oulu , Finland - Shanxi Administrative University in Tai Yuan, China - Universidad Del Pacifico in Santiago , Chile , and Austin College in Vancouver , Canada .

Susane Gruning holds an MBA and B.S. in Human Resources. Susane is the Global Program Manager for Sanmina-SCI, certified as a six sigma black belt, and owns a Victorian country inn. She has a unique combination of expertise in human resources, training, customer service, international business, and project management. She is a dynamic leader and team builder that consistently motivates learners to excel. Susane also holds the distinction of being our 2005 Affiliate Faculty Member of the Year.

Josh serves as the founder and pastor of the Living Stones Christian Church in Milpitas , CA . For the past six years, he has been working at Sanmina-SCI Corporation, an Electronics Manufacturing Company (EMS) in the Silicon Valley . He is a bi-vocational minister with a heart for networking churches, missions, and ministry to Asian American Young Adults and Young Families. Josh and his wife Jenny live in Union City , CA with their 17 month year old daughter Joelle. As a family they like to visit model homes and go for leisurely family drives. Josh grew up in the Midwest in a small town called Moline , IL the headquarters of John Deere, where his father worked. He moved to Arcadia , CA and then San Diego , CA before receiving a BS in Economics at the University of California , Berkeley . Josh enjoys playing his Taylor Guitar (814CE LE 2003), rooting for the Oakland A's, San Diego Padres, & San Jose Sharks, winning sports fantasy leagues, visiting random churches and fellowships, and meeting new people. He has been finishing his M. Div at Western Seminary since 2001.
"John P. Goldsberry is a seasoned financial executive with broad industry experience in investment banking, corporate finance and computer and semiconductor manufacturing. He has over 16 years of Chief Financial Officer experience with both public and private companies and currently serves as CFO of TPI Composites which primarily manufactures composite wind blades for the wind energy industry and produces composite products for the transportation and military industries. Goldsberry also held CFO positions with Gateway, Inc., TrueSpectra, Calibre, Quality Semiconductor, DSP Group and the Good Guys and served in a variety of corporate finance positions at Salomon Brothers and Morgan Stanley.
Goldsberry earned a bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Business Economics from Harvard University."
Joseph G. Licata, Jr. has served as a director of our company since August 2007. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of SER Solutions, Inc., a global call management and speech analytics solutions company, from July 2007 through October 2008. Mr. Licata also served as President of Siemens Enterprise Networks, LLC, a vendor of open communications solutions for enterprises, from 2001 to 2006. He currently sits on the Board of Advisors of Dave Networks, Inc., a broadcast media software company.
