Lee Lee joined the Synovus family in 1986 in the Trust Department of Columbus Bank and Trust Company. In 1989, she was named the Director of Training for Total System Services, Inc., one of the world's largest companies for outsourced payment services. A year later, Lee Lee was named Vice President and Human Resources Director for TSYS, and in 1994, she was named Senior Vice President. In 1995, when the HR areas of TSYS and Synovus merged as Synovus Service Corp., she was named Senior Vice President and HR Division Officer. Promoted to Synovus Service Corp. President and Chief People Officer in 1996, she became one of the youngest company Presidents in a corporate history that dates back to 1888. In 1990, Lee Lee and others at Total System Services, Inc. (TSYS) worked with officials from the State of Georgia to implement the first-ever Georgia Quickstart Computer Programming Training Program to provide computer programming education for TSYS, Inc. entry-level programmers – a program that continued at TSYS until Governor Zell Miller introduced ICAPP (Georgia's precedent-setting Intellectual Capital Partnership Program) during a TSYS news conference in March of 1996. These programmer education programs have given individuals the opportunity of a lifetime to either begin a career or change it later in life.

Leila has served as Executive Vice President over Retail Banking since August, 2005. She joined Synovus in June, 2000 as Senior Vice President, Director of Sales, Marketing and Product Development. In 2004 she was named Senior Vice President and Synovus’ Retail Banking Executive. She led the creation of Synovus’ Retail Strategy in 2004. She is responsible for the successful implementation of the strategy and her daily focus includes the complete scope of retail banking activities and initiatives. When Leila joined Synovus in 2000, she immediately tackled two key growth opportunities for our company – the need to increase services per household and improve on customer retention. Calvin earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Fort Valley State College in Business Administration.
Calvin was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives as its youngest member at age 26. During 1979-1980 he served as Chairman of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus and from 1982 to 1988 he served as President of the Georgia Association of Black Elected Officials. Presently, he is on the Executive Committee of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators and is Vice Chairman of the Assembly on the Legislature of the National Conference of State Legislators, both headquartered in Washington, D.C.
In 1983, Georgia Governor Joe Frank Harris appointed him Assistant Administrative Floor Leader and in 1986, Governor Harris appointed him to the position of Administrative Floor Leader, where he served until 1990. In 1991, he was appointed by Speaker of the House Thomas B. Murphy to Chair the House Industrial Relations Committee and served until 1993. In 1993, he was appointed as Chairman of the House University System of Georgia Committee, which has oversight for the 34 public colleges and universities in the state of Georgia. He also serves on the standing Appropriations Committee, Rules Committee, as well as the House Budget Sub-Committee, Fiscal Affairs Sub-Committee and the Budget Responsibility Oversight Committee.
Calvin is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Morehouse School of Medicine, Medical College of Georgia Foundation, the Jack D. Hughston Sports Medicine Hospital Foundation, the Columbus Museum and the Fort Valley State College Foundation.
In 1980, Calvin was selected by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as one of the “Ten Best Legislators” in the state, and in 1985 was selected by his peers as the “National Legislator of the Year.” He has been honored twice as “Citizen of the Year” in Columbus, Georgia. Before coming to Synovus, Bart spent 16 years at SouthTrust Securities as Manager of Capital Markets and as a member of the board of directors. He came to Synovus in August of 2005 and has served as the Senior Vice President and Manager of the Investment Banking and Institutional Brokerage Groups. Bart also previously served as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and was the firm’s Fixed Income Trader for mortgage-backed securities. Before coming to Synovus, Hatcher started his career at Alston & Bird in Atlanta, making partner in 1976. Jim began his service with Synovus Financial Corp. in June, 1970 when he was selected as the top executive at Columbus Bank and Trust Company, a position previously held by his father, James W. Blanchard. He served as CEO of Synovus from 1971 until being named Chairman of the Board in July 2005. His tenure spanned the periods of greatest growth in the company‘s history. He rallied support for the passing of the Georgia Legislature's multi-bank holding company bill in 1976, and under his leadership, CB&T Bancshares (now Synovus) became the first bank holding company in Georgia to acquire other banks under the new law. He also played an instrumental role in establishing Total System Services, Inc. (TSYS) in 1983, which now provides payments processing for more than 416 million cardholder accounts worldwide. Jim retired from Synovus in October 2006.

Joe E. Beverly, age 67, has been chairman of the board of directors of Commercial Bank in Thomasville, Georgia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Synovus Financial Corp. (NYSE), a financial services company, since 1989. He is also the retired vice chairman of the board of directors of Synovus Financial Corp, and is an advisory director of Synovus Financial Corp. He was president of Commercial Bank from 1973 to 1989. Mr. Beverly has served as a director of Flowers Foods since March 2001, and he previously served as a director of Flowers Industries, Inc. from August 1996 until March 2001.
