Westar Energy Inc.

William Moore rejoined Westar Energy in 2002 following a brief tenure as senior managing director and senior adviser for Saber Partners, LLC. His previous years with Westar Energy began in 1978 as a finance assistant. He held numerous financial positions with the company, becoming vice president, finance in 1985, executive vice president and chief financial officer in 1998 and executive vice president and chief operating officer in 2002. In 2006 he became president and chief operating officer. He also was chairman of the board for KGE and vice president of the electric division. He received his bachelor of business administration degree from Wichita State University in 1974. He is on several boards of directors, including Intrust Financial Corp, Goodwill Industries, the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame, Shocker Athletic Scholarship Organization, Wichita Area Chamber of Commerce, Wichita Insight and Wichita State University Foundation. He served as Wichita's chair for the National Conference for Community and Justice 2005 Walk As One and the 2004 United Way of the Plains Campaign.

Bruce Akin joined Westar Energy in 1987 and has served in various finance and accounting positions. Before assuming his current duties, Mr. Akin served as executive director, human resources. He has also held directorships in corporate development and internal audit. He received his bachelor of business administration, accounting, and master of business administration degrees from Washburn University. He serves on the CASA advisory board and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Kansas board.

Larry Irick joined Westar Energy's legal team in 1999 as executive director, law. He became corporate secretary in 2000 and vice president and corporate secretary in 2001, assuming his current duties in 2003. A graduate of Emporia State University and the Duke University School of Law, Mr. Irick practiced law in the Kansas City area for 17 years before he joined Westar Energy. He is a member of the Missouri Bar Association.

Arthur Krause was executive vice president and chief financial officer for Sprint Corporation from 1988 to 2002. From 1980 to 1986, he was senior vice president of United Telephone System. He was president of United Telephone - Eastern Group from 1986 to 1988. He also held various management positions at General Telephone and Electronics (GTE) from 1966 to 1971. He is on the board of directors of Inergy and Clockwork Home Services. He received a bachelor of science in accounting from Marquette University in 1966.
