Selective Insurance Group Inc.

Gregory E. Murphy has served as chairman, president and chief executive officer of Selective Insurance Group, Inc. since May 2000. He has been with Selective in various positions since joining the company in 1980. Mr. Murphy has played an integral role in Selective’s growth as a super-regional property and casualty (P&C) carrier. The company is currently ranked as the 47th largest P&C carrier in the US, and recognized for the superior service it provides to independent agents and customers. Selective’s dedicated employees are at the heart of the company’s “high-tech, high-touch” business model that powerfully combines a unique field-based model with leading-edge agency automation technology. A graduate of Boston College, Mr. Murphy holds the CPA designation and completed both the Harvard Advanced Management Program and the M.I.T. Sloan School of Management. He serves on the board of trustees of the American Institute for CPCU (AICPCU) and the Insurance Institute of America (IIA), as well as the Board of Directors of the Insurance Information Institute (III), the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI) Board of Governors and the Newton Memorial Hospital Foundation board of trustees.

Dale A. Thatcher is executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer, with responsibility for the company's overall financial areas and investor relations. Mr. Thatcher was promoted to executive vice president in 2003. Prior to joining Selective in 2000, he worked with Ohio Casualty Insurance Company, where he was chief accounting officer and director of investor relations. He has a broad background in all aspects of property and casualty finance, including capital structure planning, SEC reporting, tax strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory negotiations. Mr. Thatcher graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a B.S. in accounting and an MBA in finance and completed the Harvard Advanced Management Program. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter and a Chartered Life Underwriter. Mr. Thatcher is a member of both the American Institute and Ohio Societies of Certified Public Accountants, the Financial Executives Institute, the National Investor Relations Institute, the Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters, the American Society of Chartered Life Underwriters, and the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association.

Kerry A. Guthrie, executive vice president and chief investment officer, has oversight for the company's investment operations. Mr. Guthrie joined the company in 1987 as an investment analyst. In 1992, he was named assistant vice president. He was named portfolio manager and promoted to vice president in 1996. In 2002, Mr. Guthrie was promoted to senior vice president and chief investment officer, and to executive vice president in 2005. Before coming to Selective, he was controller for Ames Rubber Corporation in Hamburg, NJ. Mr. Guthrie received a B.S. in accounting from Siena College in Loudonville, NY and received an M.B.A in finance in 1984 from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ. In 1991, Mr. Guthrie earned the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR). Mr. Guthrie is affiliated with the CFA Institute, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the NJ Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mary T. Porter is executive vice president and chief claims officer, with oversight for the company’s claims lines of business, Staff Counsel operation, auto programs & claims training, the Claims Service Center and Claims operations, and the Claims Legal operation which provides claims in-house counsel for lines of business, coverage and litigation management. Ms. Porter joined Selective in January 2007 as senior vice president, director of claims, and was promoted to her current position in October 2007. Prior to joining Selective, Ms. Porter served as vice president and group general counsel for the Claim Legal Services Department at St. Paul Travelers. Ms. Porter is a graduate of C.W. Post College, Long Island University in New York and received her juris doctorate degree from George Washington University National Law Center in Washington, D.C. She is a past president of the D.C. Defense Lawyers Association.

Michael H. Lanza is executive vice president and general counsel, with oversight for the company's Legal department, as well as regulatory, ethics and compliance, special investigations, and legislative and government affairs functions. Mr. Lanza also serves as Selective’s corporate secretary and chief compliance officer. Mr. Lanza joined Selective in 2004 as senior vice president and general counsel, and was promoted to his current role in October 2007. Previously a corporate advisor and consultant, he also served as executive vice president and corporate secretary of QuadraMed Corporation, a health care information technology company in California. Prior to QuadraMed, Mr. Lanza was an assistant general counsel at CIGNA Corporation, where his responsibilities included state government affairs, health care compliance and international matters. Mr. Lanza is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and the University of Connecticut School of Law. Admitted to the Connecticut Bar, Mr. Lanza also is a member of the Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals and the National Investor Relations Institute.

Jamie Ochiltree, III, has served as senior executive vice president for Selective's Insurance Operations since February 2004. In this position, he leads the development and implementation of Selective's property and casualty initiatives, including corporate and field underwriting, the company's regional offices as well as the Selective Service Center. Mr. Ochiltree joined Selective in 1994 to help the company develop and implement a full business plan for geographic expansion into the Midwest. He assumed overall responsibility for branch and field operations later that year and played a major role in developing Selective's highly successful field underwriting and claims programs. He has also had responsibility for the claim operation since 1996. Mr. Ochiltree was promoted to executive vice president in 1999 and to senior executive vice president in 2004. After beginning his insurance career as an independent agent, Mr. Ochiltree worked with the Cincinnati Insurance Company in Cincinnati, Ohio for 15 years, the last five as vice president of sales and marketing. He is a 1974 graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and a graduate of the Wharton School's Advanced Management Program. Mr. Ochiltree serves on the Newton Memorial Hospital Foundation board.

Malcolm was born and presently resides in New Jersey.He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree and his Juris Doctorate Degree. He is currently employed by Selective Insurance Group where he is Vice President and Chief Council of the company's Diversified Service Group.He also serves on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Property and Liability Insurance Guaranty Fund and New Jersey Surplus Lines Guaranty Fund. Malcolm was also a contributing author of Using Letters of Intent In Business Transactions. Malcolm's interests include sailing, scuba diving, photography, clock repair, and antique restoration.

Ronald L. O'Kelley joined the board of directors of our general partner in October 2004. Mr. O'Kelley is chairman and chief executive officer of Atlantic Coast Venture Investments Inc., a private investment company, since 2002. Mr. O'Kelley served as executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of State Street Corporation from 1995 to 2002, as chief financial officer at Douglas Aircraft Company from 1991 to 1995 and as chief financial officer at Rolls Royce Inc. from 1983 to 1991. He served in senior financial positions at Citicorp from 1975 to 1983 and at Texas Instruments Incorporated from 1969 to 1975. Mr. O'Kelley is a director of Selective Insurance Group, Inc. Mr. O'Kelley serves as an advisor to the Donald Jones Center for Entrepreneurship at the Tepper School of Business and is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and the Corporate Directors Group.

William M. Kearns, Jr. is a member of the board of directors of our general partner and has been a director of United States Shipping Master LLC since September 2002. Mr. Kearns has been President of W.M. Kearns & Co., Inc., a private investment company, since 1994, chairman and co-chief executive officer of Keefe Managers, LLC, a money management firm, since 2002, and vice chairman, Keefe Managers, Inc., a money management firm, from 1998 to 2002. Mr. Kearns was a managing director of Lehman Brothers, an investment bank, and its predecessor firms from 1962 to 1994. Mr. Kearns is a director of Selective Insurance Group, Inc. and Transistor Devices, Inc., a senior advisor to Proudfoot Consulting, PLC, Advisory Board of Private Client Resources and a trustee of EQ Advisors Trust (AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company), and AXA Enterprise Funds Trust (AXA Financial).
