Sherry Garber, Sr. Vice President of Semico, is a renowned authority in semiconductor memories. She has over 25 years of semiconductor experience with industry knowledge that includes program management, manufacturing, R&D at the systems level, strategic marketing, international business management and customer service. Before joining Semico in 1995, Sherry was Sr. VP of Operations for In-Stat, a market research company. Sherry held management positions with Siemens Corporation, GTE Corporation and Rogers Corporation. While with Siemens Corp., she was part of the management team responsible for establishing and directing technology, marketing and manufacturing plans following the acquisition of an R&D Group. Sherry has been published in all the major electronics publications. Copyrighted article and study topics include DRAM, battery, communications and IC applications. In addition to being a senior executive of Semico, Sherry is currently responsible for all volatile memory studies and special consulting.

Mr. Merritt is a 25-year veteran of semiconductor and communications markets, and his background is uniquely suited to the current convergence of communications and data applications. His hands-on experience in central office equipment and remote data processing installations is combined with senior marketing and operations positions in major semiconductor companies such as Siemens and Hyundai. Since joining Semico Research, Mr. Merritt has focused on technology and product trends associated with PC architectures, products supporting the digital home environment, and broadband communications. Published reports include the market analysis and growth forecasts for ATM components, xDSL modems, Set-Top Boxes and Residential Gateways, and Network Processors. Research in memory-related topics includes quarterly reports on trends in PC logic chipsets and graphics accelerators, embedded memory, and advanced memory technologies. Mr. Merritt has also provided custom research and critical product guidance to several established semiconductor and PC companies on topics such as cellular phones, analog and RF manufacturing processes, PC architectural trends, and advanced memory technologies memory.

Joanne Itow is presently a Managing Director with Semico Research Corp., focusing on analysis for the Manufacturing Group. Joanne oversees research in the following areas, semiconductor manufacturing capacity, wafer demand, technology transition and the equipment market. Over the past eight years, Joanne has specialized in the foundry market, forecasting foundry wafer supply and demand. She is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Semico Wafer Demand Model which forecasts semiconductor wafer demand by product, technology and wafer size. Joanne has served in an advisory capacity on the International Sematech Industry Economic Modeling committee since 1999 and is on the SEMI Arizona Steering Committee. Joanne has been quoted in such publications as Electronic News, Forbes, Silicon Strategies, Solid State Technology, WaferNews and The Wall Street Journal. Prior to joining Semico Research, Joanne analyzed semiconductor company strategies and financial performance for another leading market research company. Joanne holds an MBA from Arizona State University and a BS from the University of Arizona.

Rich Wawrzyniak, a veteran with 20+ years of experience in the Semiconductor Industry, has held sales and sales management, product marketing and product marketing management positions and been a market analyst and manager of corporate planning at large semiconductor manufacturers, focused on technical sales and marketing. Rich has a well-rounded background in both emerging and mature markets and applications with special emphasis on Analog, ASIC, Memory and Processor functions, as well as Systems products, software development and process technology. As a member of a business development group at STMicroelectronics, he dealt with such diverse customers as Hard Disk Drive, Printer, Telecom, Computer and Automotive manufacturers. At Toshiba America, he was part of a combined Sales, Marketing and Engineering team which introduced the 4Mb DRAM to the US market, interfacing with every major Computer, PC, Peripheral, Networking and Telecom manufacturer in the US. He assumed a role as Memory Marketing Manager for the western US and oversaw the start of the transition from 4Mb to 16Mb DRAMs. Later at Toshiba, he headed their Corporate Planning group and was responsible for identifying, analyzing and forecasting market trends and drivers for every one of their semiconductor business units, disseminating this information throughout the company, and to the highest levels of management on a worldwide basis. He is a graduate of Loyola University in Chicago, IL.
