Sempra Energy (SRE) is in the Energy Industry

Sempra Energy, together with its business units, provides electric, natural gas and other energy products and services to its customers. As of Dec 31 2007, Co.'s operations were divided into: Sempra Utilities, which consists of San Diego Gas and Electric and Southern California Gas Co. that served 23.0 million consumers from California's Central Valley to the Mexican border; and Sempra Global, which is a holding company for most of the Co.'s subsidiaries that are not subject to California utility regulation. Sempra Global's principal subsidiaries include Sempra Commodities, Sempra Generation, Sempra LNG and Sempra Pipelines and Storage.
