Phil Theodore was named Senior Vice President and General Counsel of John H. Harland Company in 2006. He replaces John Walters who will retire in early 2007. He is responsible for all of Harland's legal and corporate governance activities. Theodore brings almost 30 years of legal experience to Harland, most recently as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Serologicals Corporation prior to its acquisition by Millipore Corporation earlier this year. He joined Serologicals in 2004 after a 22-year career with King & Spalding LLP, where he specialized in mergers, acquisitions, corporate governance and corporate finance. Desmond H. O Connell, Jr. became a director of the company in January 2007. He has been an independent management consultant and private investor since 1990. Gerard Moufflet is CEO and Founder of Acceleration International, a Boston-based Private Equity firm specializing in biotechnology, medical device, and healthcare services fields in both Europe and the US .
