Thomas L. Ryan was elected Chief Executive Officer of Service Corporation International in February 2005 and has served as President of SCI since July 2002. Mr. Ryan joined the Company in June 1996 and served in a variety of financial management roles until November 2000, when he was asked to serve as Chief Executive Officer of European Operations based in Paris, France. In July 2002, Mr. Ryan returned to the United States where he was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of SCI. Before joining SCI, Mr. Ryan was a certified public accountant with Coopers & Lybrand LLP for eight years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Ryan serves on the Board of Directors of the American Diabetes Association. Mr. Ryan also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Texas Gulf Coast United Way where he chaired the Young Leaders Campaign and served on the Finance and Audit Committee. Mr. Ryan is a member and Chapter Secretary of the Young Presidents Organization. Mr. Ryan also serves on the University of Texas McCombs Business School Advisory Council and on the JPMorgan Chase Houston Regional Advisory Board.

An instrument-rated pilot and a well-known speaker at national marketing events, Jacobs holds a B.S. from the University of Tennessee and Master’s from Vanderbilt University.

Jeff Beason joined SCI in July 2006 as Vice President and Corporate Controller. Prior to SCI, he was an employee of El Paso Corporation, a natural gas transmission and production company. Mr. Beason joined El Paso Corporation in 1978 and held various accounting and reporting roles until 1993. From 1993 to 1996, he held the position of Sr. Vice President Administration of Mojave Pipeline Operating Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of El Paso Corporation. From 1996 to November 2005, Mr. Beason was Sr. Vice President Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of El Paso Corporation. Robert L. Waltrip is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Service Corporation International. He has provided invaluable leadership to the Company for more than 40 years. A licensed funeral director, Mr. Waltrip grew up in his family's funeral business, which he began to manage in the 1950s. He began buying additional funeral homes in the 1960s and achieved significant cost efficiencies through the "cluster" strategy of sharing pooled resources among numerous locations. The enterprise he began has now grown into a network of more than 1,200 funeral homes and 400 cemeteries in the United States and Canada. Mr. Waltrip holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Houston.

Ed Fasnacht came to Service International to work as a building consultant during the Great Flood of 1993. Since then, he's been an integral part of the SI team. Before joining the SI staff, Ed was a successful entrepreneur in both the commercial and non-profit sectors. He started two contracting businesses, two churches, and two benevolence outreach ministries that are still thriving today. In 1990, Ed took part in a church-construction mission trip to Mexico that changed his life forever. He learned on that trip that he could use his skills as a contractor and as a leader to help people in need all over the world. Now, with SI, he utilizes those skills and helps motivate others to develop and maximize the most of their talents.

Gregory Sangalis joined the Company in 2007 as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. Patti Fasnacht has worked with her husband, Ed, to build two contracting businesses, a church, and two thriving benevolence outreach ministries. She joined the staff of St. Louis Family Church in 1994, and worked as receptionist, secretary, and clerk accountant until August 1999, when she joined the SI staff during the Kosova refugee crisis. Her keen understanding of international affairs and her experience with non-profit accounting make her an invaluable asset for Service International. Patti supports every SI project with book and recordkeeping, secretarial duties, and on-site project support. Patti also loves to spend time with SI volunteers as they come and go on outreach trips and she helps ensure that every participant has a life-changing experience.

Mr. Foyt achieved prominence as a racing driver who was the first four-time winner of the Indianapolis 500. His racing career spanned four decades and three continents-North America, Europe and Australia. Since his retirement from racing in 1994, Mr. Foyt has engaged in a variety of commercial and entrepreneurial ventures. He is the President and owner of A.J. Foyt Enterprises, Inc. Trey Perry has spent most of his adult life in foreign lands as a Service International missionary. He has served in 30 nations throughout Eastern and Western Europe and Africa, residing in Germany for eight years. He was living near the Berlin Wall when it fell and was one of the first Americans to enter East Germany. Trey's experience in international travel and intercultural relations is invaluable to Service International. He has made several humanitarian trips throughout Eastern Europe, taking medicine, food, and financial assistance to those in need. Trey is based at SI headquarters in St. Louis but he travels extensively, planning outreaches, evaluating projects, and coordinating volunteers.
