Cynthia (Cyndi) Lesher, president and CEO, Northern States Power Company-Minnesota, an Xcel Energy company has been named president of the Minnesota host committee for the Republican National Convention, which will be held in the Twin Cities Sept 1-4, 2008. Lesher will serve as a loaned executive to the convention organization, working full time on planning and logistics for the months up to and including the event. She serves on the board of directors of Alliant Techsystems, the American Red Cross of the Twin Cities Area, the Juran Quality Institute at the University of Minnesota, the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, the Saint Paul Foundation and the Saint Paul Riverfront Corporation and she is a member of the Minneapolis Downtown Council. Lesher earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from Drake University, a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling and psychology from St. Cloud State University, and completed the Master of Excellence Program at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.

"David Eves is President and CEO, Southwestern Public Service Company (SPS), an Xcel Energy Company. He also serves as a director of SPS. He most recently served as vice president of Resource Planning and Acquisition for Xcel Energy, where his primary functions included long-term resource planning, competitive acquisition of generation resources, negotiating and managing all long-term power purchase agreements, securing and managing the electric transmission access and rights for native load and wholesale markets, and planning and securing the gas transportation and storage services for gas businesses and for generation fuel. Since 1981, he has held various positions of responsibility for purchased power, wholesale marketing, energy trading and resource planning for Public Service Company of Colorado, New Century Energies and Xcel Energy. Mr. Eves received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Kansas State University in 1981, and has completed the Edison Electric Institute mid-level management program. He is a director of the Association of Electric Companies of Texas, and a past executive committee and operating committee member at Western Systems Power Pool. Eves currently serves as a member of the executive committee and board of directors of the Golden Spread Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and the governing board of directors for United Way of Amarillo and Canyon. David M. Sparby is president and chief executive officer, Northern States Power Company-Minnesota, an Xcel Energy Company and responsible for the company's electric and natural gas operations in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. He most recently served as Xcel Energy's vice president of Government and Regulatory Affairs. Sparby joined Northern States Power Company-Minnesota in 1982 as a staff attorney, and has served as director of Gas Supply, managing director of Corporate Rates, general manager of Regulatory Services and vice president of Regulatory Affairs.

"Michael (Mike) Swenson is president and CEO, Northern States Power Company-Wisconsin, an Xcel Energy Company, with responsibility for Wisconsin and Michigan operations. He most recently served as Xcel Energy's Wisconsin president and chief executive officer, having served as state vice president for North Dakota and South Dakota following the 2000 merger between New Century Energies and Northern States Power Co. (NSP) to form Xcel Energy. From 1995 to 2000, Swenson was Gas Operations manager for NSP, first in St. Paul and later in North Dakota and South Dakota. He worked for Viking Gas Transmission Co. as a field operations manager from 1993 to 1995, following NSP's purchase of Viking Gas Transmission Co. from Tenneco. From 1980 to 1993, he held engineering and management positions with Tenneco Inc. He serves on the boards of the United Way of Greater Eau Claire, Eau Claire Economic Development Corporation, Eau Claire City Center Corporation, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Foundation, Gateway Industrial Park Corporation serving as president, and Stout Technology Park Development Corporation. Swenson earned a degree in civil engineering from North Dakota State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Minnesota State University. Tim Taylor is the president and CEO, Public Service Company of Colorado, an Xcel Energy Company. He most recently served as vice president of Asset Management for the Utilities Group of Xcel Energy, Inc., where his primary functions included managing the electric distribution, gas transmission and gas distribution system assets as well as the supply chain organization. Taylor's industry experience includes engineering and managerial positions with Florida Power & Light Company and managing unregulated businesses for FPL Group, Inc. in the QualTec subsidiary. He consulted for electric and gas utility companies as a partner with Theodore Barry & Associates and for his own management consulting firm, Matrix Management, Inc. He has a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from Florida International University. He serves on the board of directors of Mountain States Employers Council and Downtown Denver, Inc.

Brunetti, 65, brings nearly 40 years of energy and utility industry experience to the company's board, having begun his career at Florida Power & Light in 1964. More recently, he served until his retirement in 2005 as chairman of Xcel Energy, which provides electricity and natural gas services in eight Western and Midwestern states. Prior to his role as Xcel's chairman, he served as the company's chairman, president and CEO. Brunetti also served as chairman, president and CEO of Xcel's various predecessor companies, including New Century Energies, Public Service Company of Colorado and Southwestern Public Service Company. In addition to his corporate leadership, Brunetti was active in a variety of energy industry leadership roles including chairman of the Edison Electric Institute, the utility industry's national trade association. He also was appointed to the National Petroleum Council, an advisory body to the U.S. Department of Energy, and served as chairman of the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry.

Mr. Bonavia became Chairman, President and CEO of UniSource Energy and TEP on January 1, 2009. Prior to joining UniSource Energy, he was President of the Utilities Group of Xcel Energy. Mr. Bonavia previously served as President of Xcel Energy's Commercial Enterprises business unit and President of the company's Energy Markets unit. Before joining Xcel Energy in 2000, Mr. Bonavia was Senior Vice President and General Counsel for New Century Energies (NCE) in Denver, Colorado. Prior to his tenure at NCE, Mr. Bonavia was an attorney with the international law firm of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, now Dewey & LeBoeuf. Earlier, he held several senior management positions with Dominion Resources in Richmond, VA. Mr. Bonavia has a bachelor's degree from Drake University and a law degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.

"Benjamin (Ben) Fowke is executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) of Xcel Energy. Previously he served as vice president and CFO. He was named vice president and treasurer in 2002. Previously Fowke was vice president and CFO of Energy Markets, where he was responsible for financial operations of the company’s commodities trading and marketing business unit. Before the 2000 merger between Northern States Power Co. and New Century Energies (NCE) to form Xcel Energy, he was a vice president in the NCE Retail business unit. He came to NCE from FP&L Group, where he held various finance positions. Before joining FP&L Group, he was a manager of Financial Reporting with DWG Corp., supervisor of Internal Audits with the Dart Group and an auditor with KPMG. Fowke earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance/accounting from Towson University. He obtained his CPA in 1982. "Dennis Koehl is the chief Nuclear Officer for Xcel Energy's Nuclear Department and a vice president of Xcel Energy. He is responsible for all nuclear activities in Minnesota at the Monticello and Prairie Island nuclear generating plants (operated by NSP-Minnesota and its parent company, Xcel Energy).Koehl joined Nuclear Management Company prior to its transition to Xcel Energy in June 2004 as the site vice president of the Point Beach Nuclear Plant in Wisconsin, where he oversaw the operation of two nuclear units. Under his leadership, the Point Beach plant improved regulatory performance and set site-generating records. He has more than 29 years of experience in the nuclear industry, including positions of increasing responsibility at Tennessee Valley Authority’s Sequoyah and Watts Bar nuclear plants. Ed Lutz is the Vice President of Workforce Relations & Safety at Xcel Energy. He has more then 29 years of work in the utility industry and over 15 years in Labor and Employee Relations. Paul Johnson, managing director, Investor Relations was named to the position of managing director and assistant treasurer at Xcel Energy Inc. in February 2008. In his expanded role, Johnson will continue to manage the Investor Relations Department in addition to assuming new responsibilities for Corporate Finance and Treasury Forecasting. Johnson was promoted to managing director, Investor Relations, in January 2007. His previous positions include director of Investor Relations (November 2001 December 2006) and director of External Reporting, along with a variety of financial positions over 20 years. Nancy Held is Director of Corporate Compliance at Xcel Energy Inc., with responsibility for the company's corporate compliance and business conduct program. The program's purpose is to promote a culture across the company that encourages ethical conduct and a commitment to compliance with the law. Held joined Northern States Power Company, a predecessor company of Xcel Energy, in 1980. Daniel E. Nordell received the BSEE degree with distinction from the University of Minnesota in 1970. He has been employed by Xcel Energy (formerly Northern States Power Company) since 1969. During that time he has been engaged in long-range research activities on a variety of utility system problems including the development and testing of new communication technologies and architectures and advanced distribution automation techniques. He is currently working to deploy distributed-intelligence systems for automation of the electric distribution system. He has been an active participant in the development of the Utility Communication Architecture (UCATM) and is a member of the IEEE Power System Communication Committee and of the US delegation to the International Electrotechnical Commission. Mr. Nordell is a registered professional engineer in the state of Minnesota.

Esther has 30 years experience in real estate, having begun her career in land surveying and title examination. In 1980, she joined Coors Brewing Company' s Corporate Real Estate Division and successfully wrapped up her corporate real estate career as President of Golden Equities, Inc., from 1996-2000. Esther focuses primarily on west metro Denver areas and Jefferson County, concentrating on land and industrial leasing and sales. Esther counts Denver Water, CoorsTek, Graphic Packaging Intl., Whole Foods, Xcel Energy and Jefferson County, CO among her major clients.

Mr. Nelson has over 32 years of experience in designing and managing large projects related to the electric power industry, including 10 years with the Public Service Company of Colorado (now Xcel Energy) and over 22 years as a Professional Consultant. His experience includes the conceptual and detail design, feasibility studies, system planning, economic evaluation, installation, construction management, operation and maintenance, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and other activities related to substation and distribution engineering, mining and petro-chemical industry, and power plants. Mr. Nelson has also performed as an expert witness in numerous tasks involving forensic engineering: equipment failure to personnel injuries. Mr. Nelson has authored (or coauthored) and presented numerous technical papers at the IEEE Conference related to substation engineering, grounding, harmonics and power quality, protection, altitude correction, and BIL, most of which are also published in the IEEE Transactions in Industry Applications. Mr. Nelson is a very active member of the IEEE / IAS Petroleum and Chemical Engineering Society and a Fellow of IEEE.

Karen Utt is a Senior Environmental Analyst in the Environmental Services Auditing and Risk Management Group at Xcel Energy and has been employed by the company since 1999. At Xcel Energy, Karen's primary areas of focus are carbon risk management, resource planning and environmental management system design. From 1994 through 1998, Ms. Utt was an environmental scientist and attorney for the Cooperative Power Association in Eden Prairie, Minn. Lauren Buehler is an Assistant General Counsel for Xcel Energy. She handles environmental matters, including permitting, compliance, enforcement and policy. Prior to joining Xcel Energy, Ms. Buehler worked for Fognani & Faught, where her practice focused on environmental regulation under national and international laws, including cases arising under CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and the Safe Drinking Water Act. Ms. Buehler joined Fognani & Faught from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where she served as an enforcement attorney.

Wes Reeves is native of the Texas Panhandle community of Wellington, but has lived in Amarillo since 1991 where he first worked as a newspaper reporter after earning a degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He has been with Xcel Energy for 12 years and directs media relations efforts in the company's Texas and New Mexico territory. He is involved in downtown revitalization and historic preservation efforts both at home and around the state, and serves on several local and regional nonprofit boards.
