Hal Blackadar was appointed Corus' Vice President of Human Resources in April, 2002. Previously, he was Vice President, Ontario for Corus Radio and has been with Corus and its predecessor company Shaw Communications since 1995. Mr. Blackadar has also served as a manager of joint radio properties in Halifax, Ottawa and Toronto, and as President of Maclean Hunter's Radio division for the Ontario region. He has also served as Director of the United Way of Canada, Chairman of Oakwood Terrace Senior Care Facility, and the Royal Ottawa Hospital Foundation. Other Board positions have included Director of the Radio Marketing Bureau of Canada and the Foundation to Assist Canadian Artists on Record (FACTOR). Mr. Blackadar is a founding member of the digital radio rollout committee for Canada, and has held responsibilities for the operations of 102.1 The Edge and Energy 108 on behalf of Shaw Radio Ltd.
