John W. Combs brings extensive expertise in the voice market and an intimate understanding of how to quickly scale businesses with dynamic potential. Best known for leading the launch of Nextel's first digital wireless network, prior to ShoreTel, Combs was chairman and CEO of wireless infrastructure supplier Littlefeet. Prior to that, he was CEO of InternetConnect, a broadband networking solutions provider. As Southwest area president of Nextel from 1993-1999, he led the company in service revenue and positive cash flow every quarter while rolling out Nextel's first digital wireless network. As executive vice president of L.A. Cellular, he was responsible for all aspects of sales, marketing and customer care. Before joining the cellular industry, Combs spent 20 years in the PBX business. He was president of Mitel Inc. when the company was the volume leader in PBX shipments in North America and prior to that was division general manager for Fujitsu Business Communications. He began his career at Western Electric (now Lucent). Combs holds an engineering degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Edwin J. Basart co-founded ShoreTel in 1996 and has served as our Chief Technology Officer and as a director since inception. Prior to co-founding ShoreTel, Mr. Basart co-founded Network Computing Devices, Inc., a provider of thin client computing hardware and software, where he served as Vice President of Engineering, and Ridge Computers, Inc. where he served as Vice President of Software. Mr. Basart began his career as a software engineer at Hewlett Packard. Mr. Basart holds a B.S. in English from Iowa State University and an M.S. in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

Ava M. Hahn has served as our General Counsel and Secretary since June 2007. From August 2002 to June 2007, Ms. Hahn served in various capacities at Genesis Microchip, Inc., a supplier of display image processors, including General Counsel, Secretary, Corporate Counsel and Associate General Counsel. From August 2000 to August 2002, Ms. Hahn was Director, Legal Affairs at LuxN, Inc., an optical networking company. From August 1997 to August 2000, Ms. Hahn was an associate attorney with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, P.C. Ms. Hahn holds a B.A. in history from the University of California, Berkeley and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.

Don is a highly experienced Sales & Marketing Manager who came to DataComm 16 years ago and has been an integral part of DataComm's growth from a Cable Assembly company to the full service Systems Integration powerhouse of today. He came to DataComm from Telecredit (now a Fidelity Information Services Div.) where he was VP responsible for National Expansion culminating in setting a company sales record of 10,000 new accounts in a single month. Don holds a business degree from the University of Southern California.

Kathy is our Accounting and Human Resource Manager and is an invaluable member of our management team. Because of her 16+ years experience with us, Kathy has the ability to address a wide variety of organizational issues including Legal Compliance, Employee Benefit Design (University of South Florida, Human Resource Certification), Computer Conversion and Performance Planning and Management. Thanks to Kathy's hardworking and conscientious management style, she has helped DataComm "walk the talk" as a Systems Integrator by implementing fully computerized in-house Accounting, Purchasing and Human Resources processes.

Mark is a highly experienced Accounts Manager who came to DataComm this year. Mark makes his home in Tampa Bay and has extensive experience in consulting clients in the area of VoIP migration strategies and matching up Carriers to meet client current and future telecom needs. Mark has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and is Sales Certified in the ShoreTel IP Phone System, the fastest selling pure IP phone system in the world.

DataComm was founded over 22 years ago discovering a niche market in custom computer cables for large mainframes and Miguel was hired that year as DataComm's first Production Manager. His skill in quality control, design and database inventory management, set the tone for all new managers as DataComm opened new departments as the company grew into its present size.

Brian K. Paul is a managing director in Private Equity and a partner in Lehman Brothers Venture Partners. Prior to joining Private Equity in 1999, Mr. Paul worked in Lehman Brothers' Global Technology and Healthcare Investment Banking Groups, in New York, London and Los Angeles. Within these investment banking groups, Mr. Paul was responsible for public and private equity offerings as well as strategic advisory assignments. Before joining Lehman Brothers in 1994, Mr. Paul was an associate at First Boston where he was responsible for the purchase and sale of mortgage loan portfolios. He currently is a director of AOptix Technologies, Creekpath Systems, Elemental Security, Isilon Systems, Meru Networks and ShoreTel Communications, and is a board observer of Egenera. He was previously a director of E2O Communications, Inc., sold to JDSU. Mr. Paul holds an M.B.A. with distinction from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a B.S. in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Charles D. Kissner has served as a director of our company since July 2000 and as Chairman of our Board of Directors from March 2003 to June 2006. He is currently chairman and chief executive officer of Stratex Networks, Inc., a global provider of wireless transmission solutions where he had served as chairman of the board since 1997 and as chief executive officer from 1995 to 2000 and from 2001 to Previously, Mr. Kissner was vice president/general manager of M/A-Com, Inc., a manufacturer of radio and microwave communication products, and president, chief executive officer and a director of Aristacom International, Inc., a communications software company. He was the executive vice president of Fujitsu Network Switching, Inc. and held several key positions at Lucent Technologies. Mr. Kissner serves on the Advisory Board of Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business. Mr. Kissner holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State Polytechnic University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Santa Clara University. Mr. Kissner is a member of the board of directors of ShoreTel, Inc.

Gary Daichendt served as executive vice president of Cisco Worldwide Operations with global responsibility for sales, distribution, manufacturing and strategic alliances. Prior to that, he was senior vice president of worldwide operations and also served as vice president of Cisco's intercontinental operations. Before joining Cisco, Daichendt spent eight years at Wang Laboratories in positions of increasing responsibility. His background also includes time at Nortel Networks as president and chief operating officer and 10 years at IBM in various sales, marketing and management positions.

Kathryn was a founding partner of Foundation Capital. During her nearly 20 years in the venture capital business, Kathryn has worked with talented entrepreneurs to create many market-leading companies, such as Shortel (SHOR), Documentum (DCTM), Grand Junction Networks, Interwoven (IWOV), InternetBrands, Inc.,Rapid City Communications, Primary Access Communications, Applied Digital Access (ADAX), OnStream Networks, and Chordiant Software (CHRD). Kathryn is now investing her own capital in seed stage companies, working closely with a select group of other private investors and entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley. While seed stage investing is her primary focus, she will also continue to make venture investments with Foundation Capital. Regularly recognized as one of the most accomplished venture capitalists, Kathryn has been featured on Forbes Magazine's "Midas List" of Tech's Best Venture Investors. In 2005 she received the University of Chicago's Distinguished Entrepreneurial Alumni Award. Prior to founding Foundation Capital in 1995, Kathryn was a General Partner from 1989 onwards with Merrill, Pickard, Anderson & Eyre. Before becoming a venture capitalist, Kathryn distinguished herself in the early 1980s as vice president of marketing at Oracle Corporation during the company's formative years. In the mid-1980s, she founded her own executive search firm, recruiting numerous CEOs and VPs for a host of Valley startups. Earlier, she also held various marketing and engineering positions with Data Systems Design, Gould, Inc. and Bell & Howell. Kathryn currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of Chicago, the Investment Committee of the University of Chicago, and is on the Advisory Council of the University of Chicago GSB, where she earned an MBA in 1978. She also holds a BS in Physics from the University of Toronto. Away from work, Kathryn is a serious violinist, painter and pilot. She currently runs the Magnum Opus Project, a foundation that supports composers of classical symphonic and chamber music, and is the patron behind the Music at Kirkwood summer music festival.

Mark Bregman is executive vice president and chief technology officer at Symantec, responsible for the Symantec Research Labs, Symantec Security Response and shared technologies, emerging technologies, architecture and standards, localization and secure coding, and developing the technology strategy for the company. Bregman guides Symantec’s investments in advanced research and is responsible for the company’s development centers in India and China. Additionally, Bregman leads the field technical enablement team, which works closely with the technical sales team to ensure they are prepared to assist customers in managing the impact of changing and emerging technical requirements. Bregman joined Symantec through the company’s merger with Veritas Software, where he served as chief technology officer, responsible for cross-product integration, advanced product development, merger and acquisition strategy, and the company’s engineering development centers in India and China. Prior to joining Veritas, Bregman was CEO of Airmedia, a wireless Internet firm. Previously, Bregman spent 16 years at IBM where he led the RS/6000 and Pervasive Computing divisions and held senior management positions in IBM Research and IBM Japan. He was also technical assistant to IBM CEO Lou Gerstner. Bregman holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Harvard College and a master’s degree and doctorate in physics from Columbia University. He is a member of the Visiting Committee to the Harvard University Libraries, a member of the American Physical Society, and a senior member of IEEE. He also serves on the Board of Directors of ShoreTel and the Bay Area Science and Innovation Consortium.

Michael Gregoire has served as our president and chief executive officer since March 2005. Prior to joining us, Mr. Gregoire worked at PeopleSoft, an enterprise software company, from May 2000 to January 2005, most recently as executive vice president, global services. Prior to PeopleSoft, Mr. Gregoire served as managing director for the Global Financial Markets at Electronic Data Systems Corporation, a technology services provider, from 1996 to April 2000. Mr. Gregoire has a master's degree from California Coast University, and holds a bachelor's degree in physics and computing from Wilfred Laurier University in Ontario, Canada.
