Board of Directors
Eric D. Christensen is the Vice President of Planning for SkyWest, Inc. and its subsidiaries. Eric was brought to SkyWest in 1985 as the Director of Finance to oversee the initial public offering of SkyWest stock on the NASDAQ stock exchange, which subsequently occurred in 1986.
After a successful public offering, Eric’s responsibilities were altered to work directly with Jerry Atkin as the assistant to the president. He was commissioned with all budgeting and insurance needs for SkyWest and managed the construction of the company’s hangar in Salt Lake City. Eric also spearheaded the purchase of the airline’s first regional jets.
In 1990, Eric became SkyWest’s third Vice President as he was named the Vice President of Planning. He continues to direct all aircraft purchasing and has seen the fleet of regional jets expand with the total fleet growing to more than 200 aircraft. He played an instrumental role in negotiating SkyWest’s contracts with both Delta and United. Eric has also continued to be the “project guy” managing the construction of several more hangars in SkyWest’s system and a new, state of the art corporate headquarters building in St. George.
Prior to joining SkyWest, Eric worked for four years as a Certified Public Accountant for Ernst and Whinny (now Ernst & Young) in Salt Lake City. Eric graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and later a Master's of Business Administration.
He and his wife, Lichelle, live in St. George, Utah and are the parents of four daughters.

LEE KAHN is quite an accomplished pilot and instructor. Lee is a captain for Skywest Airlines, and he flies both paragliders and hang gliders. He has been teaching windsurfing for years, but now prefers to rip it kite surfing. Lee came from a hang gliding background so he picked up on paragliding rather quickly. He has been teaching quite a bit at Elings Park getting students up in the air. Lee always seems to be the last one to land when we are flying in the mountains. How does he do that?
