Jim Fitzpatrick is a licensed Acupuncturist and certified Herbalist in both New York and Connecticut. Jim is currently the Clinical Director of the Acupuncture Clinic at Sound Shore Medical Center (formerly New Rochelle Hospital) in New Rochelle, New York. As Clinic Director, Jim is responsible for all graduate student supervision in the Acupuncture Clinic as well as all Acupuncture services for admitted patients in the hospital. Jim's work at the Hospital has given him special experience in the use of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine for Bariatric/Obesity issues, drug and alcohol dependency, and pain management. Jim practices Traditional Chinese Medicine, a 3,000 year old medical system based on the Chinese philosophical and medical concepts of Qi, Meridians, Zang/Fu (Organ systems) and ultimately Yin and Yang. Jim also makes use of micro-system applications. (Ear and Scalp Acupuncture) Jim looks forward to working in conjunction with the staff of the Center for Healing and Recovery. DR. GARY ISHKANIAN, M.D. , has been working with DR. ARTHUR H. ELKIND, M.D. in treating headache patients since 1990. He trained under DR. ELKIND while completing his residency in Internal Medicine at The Mount Vernon Hospital. Dr. Ishkanian is a board certified internist and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is also an Associate Professor of Medicine for St. George's University School of Medicine and the Director of Medical Education for St. George's University medical students at the Mount Vernon Hospital. Dr. Ishkanian is an attending physician on the staff of both the Mount Vernon Hospital and Sound Shore Medical Center and is on staff at several Skilled Nursing Facilities. He is a member of the American Headache Society, the International Headache Society and the National Headache Foundation. He is also a book review editor of the Headache Quarterly, a professional publication. Dr. Ishkanian has lectured extensively to the lay public, housestaff trainees and other professionals on the topic of Headache and has been a Sub-Investigator on clinical trials pertaining to Headache over the past ten years.

Hoo G. Chun, M.D., Director of Solid Tumor Service and Clinical Research, brings to the group his expertise in cancer management and solid tumor clinical research gained in fellowship training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and as Senior Investigator in the Cancer Therapy and Evaluation Program at the National Cancer Institute. During his career. Dr. Chun has been a leader in the development of new chemotherapy regimens for esophago-gastric cancers and has been principal or co-investigator in a variety of studies that have helped to make important discoveries including the addition of oxaliplatin and bevacizumab as frontline therapies for colorectal cancer. Dr. Chun focuses his practice in the management of various solid tumors and has a special interest in gastrointestinal cancer management including management of esophagus, stomach, gallbladder, pancreas, colorectal, and liver cancers. He is an attending physician at Westchester Medical Center, Hudson Valley Hospital Center, and Sound Shore Medical Center. Dr. Chun has authored more than 200 papers, book chapters and abstracts. He is fluent in English, and Korean and also speaks some Spanish.
