Southern Power is an electric wholesale gas energy generation company. Co. constructs, acquires, owns, and manages generation assets and sell electricity at market-based prices in the Super-Southeast wholesale market. Co. focused on executing its regional strategy in 2006 by signing purchased power agreements (PPAs) with investor owned utilities and electric cooperatives as well as acquiring generation with existing PPAs.
