As a primary spokesperson for the nation's largest airline, Brandy King intimately understands the power of the press and the impact of a positive corporate reputation. Her management role in the Public Relations department at Southwest Airlines Co. has helped that team win awards and national recognition. Brandy has more than eight years of PR and media experience, having spent two years as a producer for a television station in Dallas, Texas before joining Southwest Airlines. Brandy learned the importance of the media while working on the other side of the industry. Now PR Manager at Southwest Airlines, Brandy works with regional and national newspapers and TV stations on key issues. She was the communications lead for the launch of the airline's successful web tool – DING! – which was largely driven by PR initiatives and has more than 2 million Customer registrations. In addition to crisis management, Brandy has had significant involvement with the airline's investor relations, governmental affairs, aircraft maintenance, marketing, field sales, legal, and human resources departments.
