Spectra Logic

Doug Chamberlain brings more than six-years storage industry experience and joined Spectra Logic in 2005 as product manager. He currently oversees the competitive positioning, development, strategic planning and research for three Spectra Logic tape and disk product lines. Chamberlain has nearly a decade in strategic planning and Web-based business development experience. Prior to joining Spectra Logic, Chamberlain founded The Strategics Group, LLC, a consulting practice; and co-founded Summit Internet / 247 Sales, an e-commerce services provider. Chamberlain previously held positions as vice president of sales and marketing for Sports Vision Technologies and product manager for Exabyte, Inc. Chamberlain earned a master's of business administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a bachelor's of arts degree in economics from California State in San Bernardino.

Matt Starr's tenure with Spectra Logic spans more than 16 years and includes experience in service, hardware design, software development, marketing and management. Starr graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He has extensive experience with software, hardware, operating systems and electronic design and is currently responsible for library engineering. As the first person named to the CTO position at Spectra Logic, he brings to the company a well rounded view of architecture, operations and emerging technology.

Brett Huston is vice president, general counsel and secretary for Spectra Logic. Huston utilizes his broad legal background with Spectra Logic by supervising the company's global legal function including commercial law, intellectual property law, legal policies, compliance, employment law, as well as litigation support. Huston's experience in corporate law spans more than two decades, beginning with his first job as in-house counsel with LexisNexis in 1984, and later as general counsel with CareerTrack, Inc. in 1988. During Huston's tenure with CareerTrack, he was general counsel, human resource director and eventually COO. Prior to joining Spectra Logic, Huston was an attorney with an intellectual property boutique law firm. From 2000 to 2005, Huston managed Spectra Logic's general legal, financial, and risk management operations, and served as the corporate secretary. Huston currently directs global legal operations, as well as human resource operations in development, compensation, benefits, staffing, human resources systems, education and organization development. Huston received his bachelor's degree in political science and history from Wright State University and his law degree from the University of Dayton. He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and is licensed in the state courts of Colorado and Ohio (inactive) and in the US District Court of Colorado.

Brian Grainger has spent more than 14 years in the storage industry and currently serves as Spectra Logic's vice president of the federal and south sales regions. Grainger joined Spectra Logic in 2001 as territory sales manager for the Carolinas, Florida and Georgia but was soon promoted to regional sales manager for the entire Southeast. In 2003, he founded the Federal sales division of the company, which now comprises more than one-quarter of North American revenue. Before Spectra Logic, Grainger held sales, sales management and product management positions with OnStream, Gates/Arrow, Seagate and Connor Peripherals.

Jeff Biley is vice president of IT at Spectra Logic with more than 18 years of experience in the storage and tape industry. Since 1983, Biley has held various positions at Spectra Logic including materials manager, Support and Product Test manager and IT director. Biley received a BS from University of Colorado Business School in 1983. Biley, an active member of the Information Technology community, is currently a member of the Rocky Mountain Windows NT User Group, Association of Information Technology Professionals, and an Emergency Medical Technician.

Jen Reyna brings eleven years of experience in data storage and open systems, as well as extensive customer and management skills to Spectra Logic. Reyna was formerly director of support at Sterling Software where she managed worldwide technical support for several lines of data storage software. In October 2000, she came to work at Spectra Logic as a consultant, then as an engineering manager, before taking over leadership of worldwide service and support in 2002, where she currently oversees technical support, professional services and field service functions worldwide for all Spectra Logic products. Reyna earned a bachelor's of science degree in business administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Larry Ching serves as vice president of manufacturing and materials for Spectra Logic, and has 10 years experience of storage industry. As VP of manufacturing and materials, Ching develops effective methods that reduce operating costs and inventory, and ensures both production streamlining efficiency and overall product quality. Ching oversees manufacturing, planning and supply chain for building all Spectra Logic products. His department ensures high product quality, process efficiency, and meeting customer demands based on feedback. Ching joined Spectra Logic in 1997. He previously held positions as sustaining engineer, engineering manager and director of manufacturing for Spectra Logic. Ching earned both a master's and bachelor's of science degree in mechanical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, MO.

Mike Sausa was one of Spectra Logic's original founders, and is a veteran member of the company's board of directors. Sausa has held many key positions during his 26-year tenure with Spectra Logic, and currently serves as vice president of sales operations. Sausa is focused on improving systems and operations for Spectra Logic's growing sales force. Prior to this, he spent three years working with the EMEA sales organization and was based in Oxford, UK. Sausa served as president and chief operating officer of Spectra Logic from 1991 through 2002. He has also held positions as director of MIS and materials management, and has served on the Spectra Logic Board of Directors since 1991. Sausa joined Spectra Logic in 1982 while earning a bachelor's of science degree in electrical engineering at the University of Colorado, college of engineering.

Molly Rector originally joined Spectra Logic in 2004 as director of technical marketing, and brings eight years of storage industry experience. As vice president of marketing, Rector leads creative and marketing communications; channel and market development; and product management. She is key in defining Spectra Logic's future product vision and overall corporate direction. Rector possesses a diverse technology background drawn from years in the storage service provider market, where she has overseen and managed storage implementation and support. Some certifications Rector has secured include: CommVault Certified System Administrator; Veritas Certified Data Protection Administrator; and Oracle Certified Enterprise DBA: Backup and Recovery. She earned a bachelor's of science degree in biology and chemistry.

Nick Harper is responsible for the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Direct Sales Marketing (DSM) and International business units as Spectra Logic's vice president of business development. Harper brought 17 years United States and international tape industry experience when he joined the company in January 2002. Prior to Spectra Logic, he held the position as cofounder and vice president of Virginia-based Cybernetics Corporation. Harper holds a CFA Charter from the Association for Investment Management and Research. Harper earned an MBA from the College of William and Mary and an MA in biochemistry from the University of Oxford.
