Phil Nolan is the chairman, president and chief executive officer of Stanley, Inc. He was named president in 1996, CEO in 2002, and chairman in 2006. In his current position, Phil has led the company through six acquisitions in the past eight years along with its public offering in October 2006. The company has placed on FORTUNE magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list since 2007 and ranked seventh on Forbes’ 2008 list of “America’s 200 Best Small Companies.” Within the government-contracting industry, Phil serves as chairman of the Professional Services Council Board of Directors for 2009, following his term as vice chairman in 2008. In 2007, Phil was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Phil joined Stanley in 1989 as a program manager and the Director of Systems Integration. During his tenure, Phil has served as corporate secretary, treasurer, general manager, and vice president for operations. Before joining Stanley, Phil served on active duty in the U.S. Navy. He was Deputy Program Manager for Weapons Integration for the Submarine Launched Tomahawk Program. Phil is a graduate of the Navy's Nuclear Power Program and served aboard the USS Los Angeles (SSN688). He retired from the Navy Reserve in 2005. Phil holds a B.S. in physics from the U.S. Naval Academy, an M.S.E. in engineering management from the Catholic University of America, and a J.D. from George Washington University's National Law Center. He is a member of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Washington, DC bars, and a past board member of the National Capital Region of the Navy League.

Greg Denkler holds the position of executive vice president for Stanley, Inc. and is responsible for overseeing the corporate support organizations. With Stanley since 1989, Greg has served previously as senior vice president of operations; vice president and general manager of the Information Technology and Business Systems Division; director of Army Programs; and program manager for Navy Systems. One of the highlights of Greg’s assignments at Stanley was leadership of the company’s Army Preposition deployment support team during Operation Vigilant Warrior in the fall of 1994. It was this event that stimulated the development of the Army War Reserve Deployment System (AWRDS) and subsequently the companion Automated Battlebook System (ABS). In 2000, the AWRDS/ABS application suite received a Computerworld/Smithsonian Institution Award for excellence in Information Technology Solutions for the Federal Government. Greg came to Stanley from the Navy where his last active duty assignment was as a test and evaluation director for submarine weapon systems at the Naval Sea Systems Command. Prior to shore duty, he served aboard the nuclear attack submarine, the USS Phoenix, completing three Cold War deployments, including a submerged circumnavigation. Greg maintained his military affiliation after leaving active duty, serving as commanding officer of two reserve submarine operational support units and on the Chief of Naval Operations political/military affairs staff. Greg graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a B.S. in oceanography. He also holds an MBA from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
