Jim is a founding Partner of Focus Ventures. While at Focus, he has led successful investments in Cosine Communications, Starent Networks, Telera (Alcatel) and Netscaler (Citrix). He is currently responsible for Focus? investments in Infoblox, Miradia, PA Semi, Pure Digital and Teknovus. In addition to his investment work, Jim spearheads Focus? efforts in Asia, to which he brings to bear his 30 years experience in the region. Jim has initiated customer and partner relationships for numerous Focus portfolio companies including inCode Telecom, NetScaler, PixelWorks, PureDigital and Silicon Optix. Jim is frequently tapped to speak about his experiences at events hosted by organizations such as Asian Venture Capital Journal and International Business Forum. Jim was a cofounder in 1986 and a Managing Director of the successful merchant banking boutique, Amsterdam Pacific Corportation, which was purchased by a large European bank in 1994. Prior to forming Amsterdam Pacific Corporation, he was Vice President in the Telecommunications Section of the Bank of America's Investment Banking Group where he led media and high technology assignments in the U.S., Europe, and the Far East. Outside of his work at Focus, Jim has successful investments in companies such as ONI, Alteon, Prism Radio Partners, Deeptech, Hello Direct, US Filter and USA Waste. Jim has lectured on corporate and project financing at Stanford and has written numerous finance related articles including one published in the May-June 1982 issue of the Harvard Business Review, which was subsequently selected as one of the year's best and published in a hardcover collection. Jim has an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin and MBA (as an Arjay Miller Scholar) and MA degrees from Stanford University. Prior to attending business school, he worked for four years as a telecommunications engineer in the U.S. Air Force, specializing in analog/digital voice systems and digital networking.

Anil brings more than 20 years of hardware and software development experience to Starent Networks. Anil is closely involved in architecting Starent's Element Management System. Prior to joining Starent, Anil was Architect and Chief Software Officer of Nu-Link (India) Pvt. Ltd., a company providing engineering services to many major technology companies, such as Tellabs, NetCore Systems, Sigma Network Systems, and others. Anil also held hardware and software design and development roles with Computer Kontor Comm. and Telco (Tata Motors). Anil holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from the College of Engineering Pune and Masters in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.

Paul J. Milbury has served as our Vice President of Operations and Chief Financial Officer since February 2007. From December 2000 to March 2007, Mr. Milbury served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Avid Technology, Inc., a digital media creation, management, and distribution solutions company. From April 2000 to December 2000, Mr. Milbury served as Chief Financial Officer of iBelong.com, Inc., a company that develops and manages customized Internet portals. From October 1998 to April 2000, he served as Chief Financial Officer of JuniorNet Corporation, an online service for children.

Pierre Kahhale has served as our Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations since August 2002. From March 2000 to November 2001, Mr. Kahhale served as Chief Executive Officer of Latus Lightworks, Inc., an optical networks company. From May 1981 to March 2000, Mr. Kahhale held several senior North American and European sales and account management positions with Nortel Networks, a network communications provider. When Mr. Kahhale left Nortel Networks in March 2000, he was serving as its Vice President for Wireless Networks in the Americas.

Thierry Maupile has served as our Vice President of Global Marketing and Business Development since January 2007. From July 2002 to January 2007, Mr. Maupile served as Vice President, Business Development of IPWireless Inc., a mobile broadband technology company. From September 1999 to July 2002, Mr. Maupile served as Vice President (GTSI) of Strategy & Business Development, Global Telecom Solutions Sector, EMEA Region of Motorola, Inc.

Vijay Kathuria has served as our Vice President and General Manager, India since February 2004. From June 1991 to January 2004, Mr. Kathuria served as Vice President and General Manager of NuLink, Incorporated, an engineering services provider that he co-founded and which we acquired in February 2004.

Eric utilizes his solid, ten-year track record of global sales development, account management, operations, and finance experience to successfully manage Starent's EMEA operations. Most recently, Eric served as the strategic sales business development director for Nortel's Wireless Networks EMEA division, where he was responsible for GSM & CDMA business development and commercial negotiations. Eric has also held prominent positions advising large European companies on managerial, organizational, and strategic matters. Eric graduated with a degree in corporate finance, business, and management qualified accounting from the University of Applied Business Studies at Ecole Superieure Libre des Sciences Commerciales Appliqueesis (E.S.L.S.C.A) Paris.

Sandeep draws upon more than 16 years of wide and varied experience in the field of software development and management. Sandeep is responsible for leading all engineering and development activities at Starent Networks' Pune Development Center. Prior to Starent, Sandeep worked with several large Indian information technology services companies, including Wipro, PCS, and Geometric. He has also been responsible for establishing and leading teams for overseas clients like Unigraphics, SDRC, NEC, ConnectSoft, and GE Fanuc. His experience spans various technology areas, such as web applications, networking, and CAD applications. Sandeep has a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Systems & Finance from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Anthony P. Schoener is a co-founder of Starent Networks and has served as our Vice President of Engineering since August 2000. From January 1998 to June 2000, Mr. Schoener served as Director of Software Development at 3Com Corporation, a provider of voice and data networking solutions. From June 1996 to December 1997, Mr. Schoener served as Vice President of Engineering for NetGenesis Corp. From January 1990 to March 1996, he served as Director of Software Development at Bay Networks Inc., a provider of network access solutions.

Gennady H. Sirota has served as our Vice President of Product Management since November 2000. From November 1999 to November 2000, Mr. Sirota served as Director of Wireless Product Management, Carrier Systems Group at 3Com Corporation. From January 1987 to November 1999, he served Motorola, Inc., a wireless and broadband communications company, in senior product management and engineering positions. When Mr. Sirota left Motorola in November 1999, he was serving in their product line management organization.

Robert J. Kelly has served as our Vice President of Manufacturing Operations since February 2007 and served as our Vice President of Operations from June 2004 to February 2007. From October 2001 to May 2003, Mr. Kelly served as Senior Director of Operations at Motorola, Inc., a wireless and broadband communications company. From April 1999 to October 2001, Mr. Kelly served as Vice President of Operations at RiverDelta Networks Inc., an internet infrastructure developer. From June 1997 to April 1999, Mr. Kelly served as Vice President of Manufacturing at Packet Engines, Inc., a supplier of Gigabit Ethernet products. From January 1994 to June 1997, he served as Vice President of Operations at FORE Systems, Inc., an enterprise switching provider.
