Scott Powers is president and chief executive officer of State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), the investment management arm of State Street Corporation and the largest institutional asset manager in the world. Mr. Powers is also a member of State Street’s Operating Group, the company’s senior-most strategy and policy-making team. Prior to joining State Street in May 2008, Mr. Powers served as chief executive officer of Old Mutual US, the US operating unit of London-based Old Mutual plc. Jay Hooley is president and chief operating officer of State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT), the world’s leading provider of financial services to institutional investors with $14.0 trillion in assets under custody (as of September 30, 2008). Mr. Hooley is responsible for all of State Street’s asset servicing and trading activities worldwide, which provide an unparalleled range of services to meet the needs of sophisticated institutional investors across the full spectrum of the investment process. Services include investment servicing, investment research and trading and securities finance delivered through industry leading technology. Mr. Hooley also oversees corporate technology and securities operations. Mr. Hooley is a member of State Street’s Operating Group, the company’s most senior strategy and policy-making team. In 2003, he played a lead role in State Street’s successful acquisition and integration of Deutsche Bank’s Global Securities Services business, and more recently the acquisition and integration of Investors Bank and Trust. Mr. Hooley oversees more than 23,000 financial services and technology professionals across North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. Under his leadership, the asset servicing and trading businesses have achieved high rates of growth through both a significantly increased presence in Europe and Asia, and an expansion of products. Today, non-US assets under custody are $3.4 trillion compared to $850 million in 2002, representing growth of 34 percent on a compound annual basis. Over the same period, non-US revenues have also increased significantly from 28 percent of State Street’s total revenue in 2002 to 36 percent in 2007. Since joining State Street in 1986, Mr. Hooley has held several diverse leadership positions with increasing responsibility. After leading the US Mutual Fund sales organization, Mr. Hooley joined State Street’s shareholder servicing joint venture with Kansas City-based DST systems. From 1988 to 1990, he served as president and chief executive officer of National Financial Data Services and went on to become president and chief executive officer of Boston Financial Data Services from 1990 to 2000. During this time, he oversaw the dramatic growth of the core domestic services business and was responsible for the creation of International Financial Data Services extending the joint ventures shareholder servicing offering to Europe and Canada. Mr. Hooley is a director on the board of Boston Financial Data Services and Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston. He is a member of The Prince of Wales International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF), chairman of the Boston College Center for Asset Management and a member of The Boston Club’s Corporate Advisory Board, which is focused on identifying and recommending qualified women candidates for openings on corporate boards. Mr. Albert "Jerry" Cristoforo is executive vice president and chief technology officer of the State Street Corporation. Christopher (Chris) Perretta is executive vice president and chief information officer (CIO). Mr. Carp had a transactional corporate and securities practice with an emphasis on securities law compliance, mergers and acquisitions and the representation of financial institutions. Mr. Carp has lectured to legal and professional organizations and participated on panels at industry conferences on Sarbanes-Oxley, legal opinions, soft dollar, regulatory examinations and other corporate and securities law topics. He currently serves as a member of the board of directors for Project Bread–The Walk for Hunger and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Boston. Maureen J. Miskovic is executive vice president and State Street’s chief risk officer responsible for leading the company’s risk management function globally. Paul J. Selian is an executive vice president and currently serves as the chief investment officer for State Street's Global Treasury division. In this role, Mr. Selian oversees the firm’s proprietary ($75 billion) investment portfolio and the activities of a team of investment professionals in the United States and Europe. Tracy Atkinson is an executive vice president and chief compliance officer of State Street. Alan Greene is an executive vice president and is responsible for State Street's US Investment Services. Gary E. George E. Stefan M. Gavell is executive vice president and head of regulatory and industry affairs. He was appointed to this newly created role in January 2005, which has responsibility for global regulatory relationships, capital deployment and legal entities. Mr. Gavell joined State Street in 1990 as general manager of the Tokyo office. Steve Reydel is executive vice president and head of the Global Program Office, which provides program planning, direction, management and leadership for all Investor Services middle-office, outsourcing transitions. Tim Caverly heads up State Street’s Investment Services sales and business development activities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). William Slattery is executive vice president, country head of Ireland and managing director of State Street in Ireland where he is responsible for coordinating and managing State Street’s corporate, real estate, legal and regulatory affairs. Joseph C. Antonellis is vice chairman of State Street and is responsible for Investment Servicing North America, including Sales, Investment Manager Outsourcing, Global Product Management and Global Services. Prior to joining SSgA, Shawn was Vice President of Business Development for MGA Software; a Manager for Braxton Associates, Deloitte & Touche's Corporate Strategy Consulting Group; President of TMT Software Company; and a Manager for General Electric's Aerospace Business Group. He also served as an Intelligence Officer with the United States Naval Reserve. Shawn earned a BS in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), as well as an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Dartmouth College. Shawn is also a trustee of Berea College.
