Appointed Director on the Board of Singapore Technologies Precision Engineering (STPE) on 4 December 1995, and remained a Director when the company changed its name to Accuron Technologies. R. Douglas Norby joined Tessera as chief financial officer and senior vice president in July 2003. An industry veteran with more than 35 years in the technology sector, Norby has held numerous executive management positions with such prominent companies as LSI Logic, Mentor Graphics and Syntex Corporation. Most recently, he was chief financial officer of Zambeel, Inc., a provider of enterprise-class network storage solutions. Norby has served on the boards of entertainment company Lucasfilm Ltd., where he was also president and chief operating officer, and Recordati, S.p.A., an Italian pharmaceutical company. He currently serves on three public company boards: LSI Logic, Alexion Pharmaceuticals, and STATS ChipPAC. Norby holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Harvard University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
