Catherine is the Chairman and CEO of The Santa Fe Group. For more than 30 years, Catherine Allen has been an outstanding leader in technology strategy and financial services and a luminary in business innovation. Catherine has won accolades from industry, government, academia, business groups and the press for her success in fostering innovation, promoting new technologies, and bringing stakeholders together to address common challenges. Catherine served as the Founding CEO of BITS from its inception in 1997 through her departure in May 2007. Today she serves as Chairman, CEO and founder of The Santa Fe Group, a strategic consulting company based in New Mexico. BITS? accomplishments under Catherine?s leadership include creating best practices in more than 30 areas of financial services risk management, facilitating the industry?s transition from paper to electronic payments, and creating a trusted forum in which corporate leaders could speak candidly about critical challenges in a noncompetitive environment. Catherine is the recipient of the 2007 US Banker magazine Marion O. Sandler Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to the industry, her dedication to inspiring others, and her political and social contributions during her career.

Joining Stewart in early 2006, Smith most recently served as Vice Chancellor for Governmental Relations and Policy for the University of Texas System. He has a 35-year résumé in corporate governance, administrative law, governmental affairs and real estate. A graduate of the University of Texas and its School of Law, Smith began his career working for Southwestern Group Financial, a publicly traded company, eventually becoming its Vice President and General Counsel. He also served as General Counsel to the 1990 Economic Summit of Industrialized Nations (G-7) that was held in Houston. A member of the Texas House of Representatives from Harris County for 14 years, Smith chaired several committees, including the Budget and Oversight committee that oversaw the Texas Department of Insurance. Prior to joining the UT System, Smith was President and CEO of The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR), a nationally ranked rehabilitation and research facility with its main location in the Texas Medical Center. A licensed attorney in the state of Texas, Smith also holds a master of laws degree in international and environmental law from the University of Houston.

Allen Berryman has almost 30 years of financial and operational experience with organizations ranging from small, privately held entrepreneurial companies to Fortune 500 organizations. He recently served as head of finance for Cetero Research, one of the world’s largest providers of early clinical trial and bioanalytical laboratory services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and generic drug companies. Prior to joining Cetero, Berryman spent nine years in the electronic payments industry, holding CFO and COO positions with Retriever Payment Systems and TeleCheck International and serving as Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of First Data Corporation. He also worked with the public accounting firm Deloitte & Touche for 12 years. Berryman is a graduate of the University of Georgia and is a Certified Public Accountant.

As Stewart Chief Financial Officer, Max Crisp is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of the company's financial condition to the Board of Directors, stockholders, management and various governmental regulatory authorities. Mr. Crisp joined Stewart in 1965, having previously worked for Price Waterhouse & Co. He has been a Stewart director since 1970. Mr. Crisp earned his accounting degree from Stephen F. Austin University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Brian Brewer has been involved in the real estate industry for 15 plus years. Brewer founded General American Resources and General American Title, which were acquired by SMI in November of 1998. He attended Clairon University of Pennsylvania where he received his Bachelor of Science in Management.

Liz was named the VP, Strategy and Quality in 2003 and Sr. VP in 2006. In January 2008, Liz took on the role of Sr. VP, Strategy and Program Management Office. The Program Management Office (PMO) ensures that all Enterprise programs and projects are properly tracked and all communication related to enterprise-wide initiatives are clearly communicated to the appropriate Stewart organization in a timely fashion. As Sr. VP, Liz is charged with overseeing the planning effort of projects that potentially have an impact on the Stewart organization within the StewartNext initiatives and specifically SPS. She has been with Stewart since 1994. Henshaw has attended the Deming Institute, the Joseph Juran Quality Training and the IBM Management Development Training. She is a member of the American Society for Quality.

Tara Williams serves as Senior Vice President of Operations for Stewart Lender Services. Stewart Lender Services provides the Mortgage Industry with innovative electronic closing and electronic mortgage technology, nationwide title and escrow services, Home Retention and loss mitigation services and a complete suite of post-closing support services. In her role as Senior Vice President of Operations, Williams is responsible for the profitable growth of the company while ensuring excellence in operational fulfillment of National Title and Settlement services, Post Closing Servicing Solutions, and Home Retention Services. Williams also oversees Stewart Business Information, whose services include pre-employment background screening, background reporting including VOE/VOI for mortgage purposes, and due diligence for merger and acquisition purposes. Williams graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She and her husband, David, live in Houston, TX with their daughter.

Tom Sagehorn began his career with Stewart in 1990 and was shortly promoted to Senior Vice President and General Counsel. As Region G Manager, he is responsible for agency and affiliate title operations in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Tennessee and Wisconsin. Sagehorn has a B.A. from Stanford University and a J.D. from Southern Methodist University Law School. He is the Chairman of the Board of the Arkansas Title Insurance Co. (ARTICO) and President of National Land Title Insurance Co. (NLTIC), two Stewart underwriters. ARTICO does business in Arkansas and NLTIC does business in 12 states and is expanding strategically across the country. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Texas Bar Association, the World President's Organization, the Dean's Advisory Council for Christian Brothers University School of Business (Memphis, TN), American Cancer Society’s CEO’s Against Cancer and is former Chairman of the American Cancer Society Northwest Suburban Chicago Leadership Board.

With more than 25 years of legal experience, John Killea was appointed General Counsel of Stewart Title Guaranty Company in April 2008. Killea began his Stewart career in 2000 as Counsel in the claims and agency underwriting areas for Stewart Title Insurance Company, New York. Later, he served as Chief Claims Counsel for the NY Underwriter and most recently as General Counsel and Chief Claims Counsel. In addition, his background includes coordinating the NY Underwriter’s Defense of an Industry class action lawsuit, assisting in managing the Underwriter’s response to the NYSID’s market conduct exam and helping Stewart comply with the NYS Attorney General Subpoena. Killea holds a B.A. cum laude from Lafayette College and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. He is also a member of the NYS Bar Association.

Lou Ann Ysaquirre joined Stewart in 1981 as Executive Assistant to Stewart Morris, a position she held until 1992. At that time, she transferred to Stewart Morris, Jr.'s office. Ysaquirre works with Morris on the operating title offices, real estate information companies, district managers and office managers, as well as the region managers who are his direct reports. As a member of Stewart's Leadership Team, she attends various region and agency meetings across the country. She also coordinates the use of the company jet, as well as the Stewart carriages for use in customer events nationwide. The Executive Receptionist also reports in to Lou Ann.

Ted C. Jones, PhD is the Director of Investor Relations for Stewart Information Services Corporation (NYSE-STC) and also Senior Vice President-Chief Economist for Stewart Title Guaranty Company. He addresses the information needs of stockholders, conducts on-going research and supports economic and financial analysis for the company and its customers. Jones earned a PhD in finance with a minor in statistics and a master’s degree in land economics and real estate from Texas A&M University. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University. Prior to joining Stewart he served as chief economist at Texas A&M University’s Real Estate Center, the nation’s largest publicly funded real estate research group. Before that, he authored and taught the valuation and appraisal section of the Bachelor of Commerce in Valuation and Property Management at Lincoln College, University of Canterbury near Christchurch, New Zealand. An internationally recognized real estate expert, Jones has completed appraisals and property analysis in New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States. Ted C. Jones' recognized specialty is applied real estate research. Jones has completed numerous mass-appraisal assignments including more than $3 billion of income producing property owned by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, retail properties, hotels, motels, offices, commercial land, multifamily housing, residences and numerous other special use properties. He completed a study on the impact of the Resolution Trust Corporation on real estate values and testified before the Oversight Board. Expert witness testimony has included analysis and evaluation of a solid rocket missile and carbon fiber plant, hydro, gas and coal-fired electric utilities and co-generation plants, an internal pipe coating plant in Scotland servicing the North Sea oil and gas production, and arguments on the treatment of deferred income taxes in the valuation of regulated public utilities. He has consulted The Boeing Company on property valuation issues relating to ad valorem property taxes at Boeing’s diverse aerospace and aircraft manufacturing plants in Washington. An accomplished speaker, he typically gives more than 150 presentations on real estate and the economic outlook each year. Representative real estate groups addressed include: National Association of Realtors?, National Association of Home Builders, National Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives, Fannie Mae, American Land Title Association, The Housing Round Table, Association of University Real Estate Officials, New Zealand Property Management Institute, Employees Relocation Council, GMAC Real Estate, Prudential Real Estate Associates, the Institute of Professionals in Taxation, the American Bar Association, the Association of Real Estate Law Licensing Officials and the National Conference on Unit Value Standards. He is a past member of board of directors of the National, Texas and Houston Association of Realtors® and served as chairman of the board of the Houston Association in 2004. Ted was a member of the 2007 National Association of Realtors Research Committee.

Bob Oakland began his career with Stewart in 1995 as Senior Vice President, District Manager for an area encompassing Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa. He became Counsel for Stewart Mortgage Information and MAST in 1996, and became Region C Manager in 1997. He is responsible for offices and agents in Alaska, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. Oakland originally worked as an attorney in Connecticut, and then began working for TRW/Nations Title in 1989 as an underwriting counsel, working his way to chief underwriting counsel. He has a B.A. from San Diego State University and a J.D. for the University of San Diego. Oakland is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Washington Bar Association.

Christine is responsible for the management of both Stewart Lender Service's Customer Account Management Team as well as the strategic relationships with Stewart Lender Service's Credit, Flood and Automated Valuation Partnerships. She joined Stewart's management team in August of 1999, bringing twelve year's experience in the real estate finance business to Stewart. Prior to her current role, she was manager of Investor Relations in the Product Development group of Secondary Marketing for Mellon Mortgage. In that position, Boring was responsible for Mellon's corporate relationships and contract negotiations with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, as well as managing the development and implementations of new product and programs for the company.

Larry Davis joined Stewart in 1981 as an Internal Auditor, becoming the Internal Audit Director the following year. He is responsible for administration of the company's internal audit function. Over the years, Davis has built Audit Services from a staff of three auditors into a group of more than 20 professionals. Under his leadership, the focus of audits has changed from a rotational basis to a risk basis, precipitating the need for risk analysis tools and other computer-assisted audit techniques. Davis has a degree in accounting from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner. Davis is a past president and a current director of the Houston Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors. He also is a past chairman of the American Land Title Association's (ALTA) Internal Audit Committee. Under his committee's leadership, the industry adopted a standardized agency audit program and internal control guidelines.

Dr. Edward Douglas Hodo is President Emeritus of Houston Baptist University in Houston, Texas. A graduate of the University of Mississippi, Dr. Hodo earned a bachelor of business administration in 1958 after serving two years in the United States Army. He continued his education at the university and received a master of education in personnel guidance, a master of science in banking and finance and a doctorate of philosophy in economics and finance. Dr. Hodo currently serves as a director of the U.S. Global Investors Funds. He also serves on the Board of Security Bank of Amory, Mississippi. Dr. Hodo has been a Stewart director since 1988.

Founder of The Institute, Laurie Moore-Moore has been in the residential real estate business for 30 years. She has sold luxury real estate, managed a large real estate office, and has run two divisions of the nation's third largest real estate company. Laurie, co-founder of REAL Trends, Inc. (an industry communications and research firm), has spoken widely in the industry, founded and managed multiple brokerage company CEO-strategy groups, has trained over 9,000 luxury home agents, and is an advisory board member of a Fortune 1000 company. It's no wonder Laurie was chosen by The Real Estate Intelligence Report as one of the ten people having the most impact on the residential real estate business in the past 25 years. Thomas G. Apel currently serves as president of Intrepid Ideas Inc., a product development, technology evaluation and business strategy consulting firm for financial services and real estate finance companies. He also is a fellow with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the advanced study program currently focused on business model taxonomy and IT portfolio strategies. Previously, Mr. Apel was president and CEO of Centex Title and Ancillary Services, responsible for management, strategy development and implementation of a highly profitable business unit containing national title, escrow, title insurance and property and casualty insurance operations. His background also includes extensive experience in mortgage lending and related real estate lending operations.
