Founded in 1946 as Stocker & Yale, Inc., StockerYale introduced diverse lighting applications to the optical and metrology industries. Today, StockerYale is an independent designer and manufacturer of structured light lasers, LED modules, and fluorescent lighting products, as well as specialty optical fibers and phase masks for industry leading OEMs. Through this diverse product mix, the company serves a wide range of markets including the machine vision, industrial inspection, defense, telecommunication, sensors, and medical markets. StockerYale is organized into two core operating business groups: illumination and optical components. This corporate strategy has allowed the company to advance its strategic initiatives within the optical component markets while maintaining its leadership position within the specialized illumination markets. Nicolas Cadieux is responsible for managing the overall activities of the Canadian business unit. In 1995, Mr. Cadieux started his career at StockerYale Canada as an Optoelectronics engineer in the R&D department. He occupied that position for 4 years before leaving to pursue other endeavors. Two years later he returned as Production Manager. Upon his return, his knowledge of the laser products and technology led him to become Sales Representative, Director of Sales, and VP of Sales and Product Development. Mr. Cadieux has a MBA in Technology Management and Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM), as well as a College Degree in Physics.

Stephen L. Abbey was appointed as Managing Director of the Specialty Optical Fiber business unit, effective June 8, 2008. He is responsible for the overall operations and development of worldwide optical component sales and product development. Mr. Abbey was most recently Principal of Hickory Associates, an executive management consulting and coaching firm, where he developed and implemented processes to achieve business objectives for companies across disparate industries. Prior to this, he was a Director and General Manager of JDS Uniphase Corporation's Specialty Fiber unit from 2001 through 2003. Mr. Abbey was Director of SDL, Inc.'s Specialty Fiber Group, a manufacturer of active optical components and integrated modules, from 1999 to 2001 when it was acquired by JDS Uniphase Corporation. From 1998 to 1999, Mr. Abbey was Vice President and General Manager at Polaroid Corporation's fiber laser business. Mr. Abbey holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Engineering and Management from Clarkson University.
