Storix, Inc. was founded in 1998 by Anthony Johnson, who today serves as President and CEO. Mr. Johnson's extensive backround includes almost a decade at IBM, where he designed and developed Sysback, a system backup, restore, and disaster recovery tool for AIX systems. Storix System Backup Administrator (SBAdmin) first began as an extension of Sysback, providing centralized backup management for AIX systems. Customer demands eventually exceeded that which Sysback could provide, and SBAdmin was completely redeveloped exclusive of Sysback. This paved the way to providing the same backup management and disaster recovery for Linux systems starting in 2002.
