Dow Jones Description
We own and operate a national network of short stay surgical facilities in 25 states, which includes ambulatory surgery centers and surgical hospitals (collectively, surgical facilities). Our surgical facilities primarily provide non-emergency surgical procedures across many specialties, including, among others, orthopedics, pain management, gastroenterology and ophthalmology. We own our surgical facilities in partnership with physicians and in some cases health care systems in the markets and communities we serve. We apply a market-based approach in structuring our partnerships, with individual market dynamics driving the structure. We believe this approach aligns our interests with those of our partners. We believe that our national scale and our alignment with prominent physicians within our markets provide us with a strong competitive position. Through our surgical facilities, we offer high quality surgical services designed to meet the health care needs of our patients, physicians and payors in an efficient, convenient and cost-effective manner. This value proposition positions us well to take advantage of the continued growth in outpatient surgeries going forward. ...
