Prior to joining Syniverse as Executive Vice President and CEO-Asia Pacific, Raymond Cheung served as chief executive officer of Interactive Technology Holdings Limited (ITHL) since 2002, during which time he has been responsible for both corporate strategies and operations. Mr. Cheung has more than 20 years experience in technology planning, system design, product development and field operations in the telecommunications sectors. Prior to forming ITHL, he served as senior manager of Hong Kong Telecom (now known as PCCW-HKT) where he gained extensive experience in various business divisions, including service development of private networks, data communications and product strategies. Mr. Cheung graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1980 with a major in electronics, and he is a member of the Hong Kong Computer Society.

"Tony Holcombe is president and chief executive officer of Syniverse Technologies. He joined Syniverse’s Board of Directors in March 2003 and was appointed CEO in January 2006. Before joining Syniverse, Mr. Holcombe served as president of Emdeon Corp., formerly WebMD, and as president of Emdeon Business Services. Mr. Holcombe has more than 20 years of executive-level experience in the transaction processing and technology services industry. He was chief executive officer of Valutec Card Solutions and served in various executive positions at Ceridian Corporation, including executive vice president of Ceridian Corporation, president of Ceridian Employer Employee Services and president of Comdata. Mr. Holcombe serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for CTIA-The Wireless Association. He also is vice chair of the Board of Directors for The Wireless Foundation. Mr. Holcombe received his bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University. "

David W. Hitchcock was appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer in June 2007. Prior to joining Syniverse, he was chief financial officer of North America for Alcatel-Lucent. Mr. Hitchcock has almost 20 years of experience in corporate finance, mainly with AT&T and Lucent Technologies. He held a wide range of key financial leadership roles, including corporate controller for Lucent Technologies as well as business operations and financial vice president for Lucent Worldwide Services. Mr. Hitchcock also serves on the Board of Directors for the Florida Institute of Chief Financial Officers. He earned both his bachelor's degree in accounting and master's degree in business administration from Wake Forest University, and is a certified public accountant.

"Jeffrey S. Gordon joined Syniverse as its chief technology officer in January 2008. Before coming to the company, he held a number of leadership positions at Convergys Corporation, most recently as senior vice president of industry solutions. Prior to Convergys, he served in a wide range of key technology positions at Bell Atlantic, IBM and General Electric. Mr. Gordon, who is the author of seven U.S. patents relating to systems architecture and wireless communications, earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering honors from Purdue University and is a graduate of the IBM Systems Research Institute. "

Leigh Hennen is chief human resources officer for Syniverse. Joining the company in August 2006, Ms. Hennen brought to Syniverse more than 30 years of experience in human resources, learning and development, organization development and alignment, change leadership, communications, strategic planning, and integration of mergers and acquisitions. Before joining Syniverse, she was vice president of human resources for Emdeon Business Services and, prior to that, senior vice president of human resources for Ceridian Human Resource Solutions. Her international experience includes assignments in the United Kingdom and Canada as well as human resource responsibilities for employees in France and Costa Rica. Ms. Hennen is the co-author of two books: Whole-Scale Change: Unleashing the Magic in Organizations and The Whole-Scale Change Toolkit.

Martin A. Picciano joined Syniverse in August 2008 and serves as the company's senior vice president of finance and chief accounting officer. A certified public accountant, Mr. Picciano has 20 years of experience in accounting and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining Syniverse, he served as senior vice president and chief accounting officer at Global Payments Inc., and he has held a variety of corporate accounting positions at other public companies, including Rollins, Inc. and National Data Corporation. Mr. Picciano earned a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Niagara University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Nancy J. White became our Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer in April 2006. Ms. White most recently served as Senior Vice President of Telcordia Technologies from July 2003 to March 2006. From April 2002 to July 2003, she provided sales agency and management consulting services. From 1979 to April 2002, Ms. White held various senior management and executive positions with Nortel Networks serving most recently as Group Vice President from October 2000 to April 2002. Ms. White holds a BS degree in Business Administration with a Major in Marketing from Tennessee Technological University.

Ruben Lopez joined Syniverse in November 2007 as chief information officer and senior vice president. Mr. Lopez has more than 25 years of experience in senior technology leadership positions. Most recently, he was with Emdeon Practice Services (now SAGE Software Healthcare Division), where he was senior vice president and chief information officer. Prior to that, he was chief information officer for the Florida Board of Education and Department of Education. Mr. Lopez also served as vice president and chief information officer at Intermedia Communications Inc. (divested to WorldCom). In 2002, he was recognized as "CIO of the Year" by the Tampa Bay CIO Council. Mr. Lopez earned bachelor's degrees in electronic engineering, mathematics and computer sciences as well as a master's degree in applied sciences/physics. He also has a master's in business administration from the University of Miami.

"Alfredo de Cárdenas became executive vice president for North America in April 2008. He brought to Syniverse more than 20 years of experience in the global telecommunications industry. Before joining Syniverse, de Cárdenas was with Nortel Networks, most recently as general manager of converged multimedia networks. He also held a number of other key leadership roles since joining Nortel in 1982, including vice president positions in carrier support and operations, sales, marketing, customer care, and network operations as well as assignments in Columbia and Brazil. He began his career as a senior engineer for Southern Bell. De Cárdenas earned his master’s of business administration degree from Nova Southeastern University and his bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from Florida International University. He is fluent in English and Spanish, and conversational in Portuguese. "

Michael O'Brien was appointed vice president of business development in 2007. Previously he had served as vice president of marketing since August 2001 and had been responsible for product management and business development for all products and services globally. Before his appointment to vice president, Mike served in a number of other positions in the company, including assistant vice president of marketing from November 2000 to August 2001 and marketing director for North American wireless from June 1999 to November 2000. From January to June 1999, he worked as an independent consultant. He also served as director of operations at GE LogistiCom, a satellite communications business. Prior to that, Mike was a product manager responsible for network monitoring and wireless data products. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Virginia.

Prior to being named senior vice president of the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) region in July 2007, Giorgio Miano served as regional sales director for Syniverse's Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Mr. Miano joined Syniverse from Wind Telecomunicazioni in Rome, Italy, where he held positions as an international roaming manager and an international carrier manager. Previously Mr. Miano worked for Exxon in Italy and had experiences in the development sector in Africa and South America. After graduating from the University La Sapienza of Rome with an advanced degree in business and economics, Mr. Miano continued his formal education by earning a master's degree in cooperation and international development from the University of Pavia in Italy. In 2005, he also attended in the Accelerated Development Program at the London Business School in the United Kingdom.

Janet Roberts was named vice president of corporate communications and marketing in September 2006. Ms. Roberts came to Syniverse from Telcordia Technologies, where she had served as vice president of global marketing and communications since April 2003. Previous positions also include vice president of global marketing communications for 360networks in Seattle and vice president of marketing for London-based De La Rue plc, where she led communications, market management and product management. Prior to these assignments, she spent 11 years at AT&T, including five years directing global marketing for its global undersea fiber optics business, AT&T Submarine Systems, Inc. Ms. Roberts earned both her master's of business administration in marketing and bachelor's in liberal arts degrees from the University of Alabama.

Laura Binion joined CheckFree Corporation in November 2001 as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. She is responsible for the supervision of the company's law department, and the management of its legal affairs, including contract, compliance, litigation, and corporate matters. She was named Executive Vice President in November 2003. Most recently, Binion served as associate general counsel for the southern operations of Verizon Wireless. Binion joined Verizon Wireless during the merger of Bell Atlantic Corporation and GTE Corporation. She had previously served first as associate general counsel and then as vice president and general counsel of GTE Wireless. During her tenure at GTE Wireless, Binion managed the legal responsibilities surrounding numerous divestitures and acquisitions of cellular property. She also spent five years as corporate counsel for Contel Corporation. Binion's experience also includes positions at law firms Parker, Hudson, Rainer, Dobbs & Kelly and at Kutak, Rock & Huie both of Atlanta. Binion holds both her bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Georgia.

Bill McGee joined Syniverse as senior vice president of mergers and acquisitions in November 2006. Mr. McGee brought to Syniverse eight years of corporate acquisitions experience with Electronic Data Systems, where he served as managing director of corporate business development. He also has 22 years of investment banking experience gained while working for Merrill Lynch, Salomon Brothers and Lehman Brothers. Mr. McGee earned his master's degree in business administration from Pennsylvania State University and his bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Missouri, Columbia.

Lori Gonnu joined Syniverse in April 2009 as executive vice president and general manager of the company's global roaming services and interworking line of business. Ms. Gonnu brings to Syniverse more than 18 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Before coming to Syniverse, she served as executive director of the international division of French mobile operator SFR. Ms. Gonnu began working for SFR's parent company Vivendi in 1990 in the cable television division and joined SFR in 1995. During her tenure, she served in a number of leadership roles that included regulatory, competitive analysis and product marketing positions. She also has been an active member of the GSM Association, where she was a member of the Executive Management Committee. Ms. Gonnu earned a master's in business administration from INSEAD in France, a graduate diploma in international economics from Institut des Hautes Etudes Internationales in Switzerland, a master's degree in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, and a bachelor's degree in political science from Wellesley College.

Eugene Bergen Henegouwen serves as Syniverse's executive vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Mr. Bergen Henegouwen, a Dutch native, has held a variety of high-tech executive-level positions in the United States and The Netherlands. Prior to joining Syniverse in 2003, he was chief executive officer and chairman of Invention Machine Corporation from January 2001 to November 2002. From January 1999 to December 2000, he was chief executive officer and president of AVIO Digital Inc., and from April 1995 to December 1998 he was chief executive officer of Philips Creative Display Solutions in The Netherlands. Mr. Bergen Henegouwen also held senior level management positions with Philips Consumer Electronics, Business Electronics, and Philips Telecommunications and Data Systems. He holds a master's degree and bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands.

Paul A. Wilcock has served as Chief Technology Officer since March 2004. From September 2002 to March 2004 he served as Vice President Technology. Prior to that, he served as Vice President Business Development and Strategy from August 2001 to September 2002. Having joined us in 1992, Mr. Wilcock previously served as Assistant Vice President Business Development and Strategy, Assistant Vice President Marketing, Director Product Development and Support Services and Director Enterprise Technology. Mr. Wilcock began his GTE career in 1975 and has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, operations, marketing and strategy development. Mr. Wilcock graduated in Telecommunications from Leeds College of Engineering and Science (England) and holds an MBA from Wake Forest University.

Robert J. Marino was named Chairman of the Board in December 2006, and has served as a director since February 2004. From August 1998 to February 2003, Mr. Marino served as group president of Convergys Information Management Group. Convergys Corporation was formed by spinning off Cincinnati Bell Information Systems Inc. (CBIS) and MATRIXX Marketing Inc. from Cincinnati Bell, Inc. Prior to this, Mr. Marino served as president and chief executive officer of CBIS from October 1996 to August 1998 and chief operating officer of CBIS from November 1995 to October 1996. Prior to joining CBIS, Mr. Marino served as president of the northeast region at Nextel Communications from November 1993 to October 1995. Mr. Marino also held senior management positions at Houston Cellular Telephone Company, Compania de Radiocomunicaciones Moviles in Argentina and Sprint Corporation.

Fritz von Mering joined the Syniverse Board of Directors in August 2008. Mr. von Mering currently is a managing director of Miles River Management, a strategic planning and financial management consultancy, and also serves on the board of Microfinancial Corp (NASDAQ: MFI). One of the founders of the Boston Communications Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: BCGI), he held various roles during his tenure from 1989 to 2006, including chief operating officer, vice president of corporate development and chief financial officer. Prior to BCGI, he was chief financial officer of Massachusetts Gas & Electric and, before that, vice president/general manager for Metromedia Corp. He also held positions at Concept Industries Corp. and PWC (formerly Coopers & Lybrand). Mr. von Mering earned a master's of business degree from Babson College and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Boston College.

Jack Pearlstein has served as our Chief Financial Officer since April 2006. From September 2001 to November 2004, Mr. Pearlstein served as the Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary of DigitalNet Holdings, Inc., a leading provider of network, security, information and application services to U.S. defense and intelligence agencies. From September 2000 until July 2001, Mr. Pearlstein served as Chief Financial Officer of Commerce One, Inc. s Global Services division, which he joined in September 2000 when Commerce One, Inc. acquired AppNet, Inc., a leading provider of Internet- and electronic commerce-based professional services and solutions. Mr. Pearlstein also serves as a director of Syniverse Technologies, Inc., a NYSE-listed enabler of wireless voice and data communications for telecommunications companies, which is controlled by GTCR. Mr. Pearlstein has a B.S. in Accounting from New York University and an M.B.A. in Finance from George Washington University.

Robert J. Gerrard, Jr. joined the board of directors in April 2008. Mr. Gerrard currently serves as executive vice president and general counsel of Scripps Networks LLC, which he joined in 1997. He established the Scripps Networks legal department and oversaw the company’s human resources department until January 2007. From 1994-1997, he was vice president and general counsel of Sega Channel, a joint venture formed by cable television companies Time Warner Cable, Tele-Communications Inc. and videogame creator Sega. He was senior counsel for Home Box Office from 1982-1994 and a litigation associate with the Wall Street law firm Hughes Hubbard & Reed from 1977-1982. Mr. Gerrard earned his law degree from Harvard Law School and his bachelor’s degree from Harvard College.

Timothy A. Samples has served as a director since March 2007. Since January of 2003, he has been the principal of Sapience LLC in Scottsdale, Ariz., where he does consulting work and serves as a non-executive director for three telecommunications and technology companies. Mr. Samples has more than 20 years experience in the communications industry, including time as CEO, president and chairman of the board of management for Completel N.V., a Dutch-registered competitive local exchange carrier in London and Paris, from February 2001 to June 2002. From February 2000 to February 2001, he was CEO and president of Firstmark Communications, a Pan-European broadband company with operations in seven Western European countries; and from September 1997 to February 2000, he was CEO of One2One, a GSM service operator created through a joint venture between MediaOne Group and cable and wireless providers. From July 1995 to May 1996, Mr. Samples served as vice president and general manager for US West Cellular/AirTouch in Phoenix, Ariz. He also held earlier management, sales and marketing positions with US West/MediaOne Group.
