Prior to joining Syniverse as Executive Vice President and CEO-Asia Pacific, Raymond Cheung served as chief executive officer of Interactive Technology Holdings Limited (ITHL) since 2002, during which time he has been responsible for both corporate strategies and operations. Mr. Cheung has more than 20 years experience in technology planning, system design, product development and field operations in the telecommunications sectors. Prior to forming ITHL, he served as senior manager of Hong Kong Telecom (now known as PCCW-HKT) where he gained extensive experience in various business divisions, including service development of private networks, data communications and product strategies. Mr. Cheung graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1980 with a major in electronics, and he is a member of the Hong Kong Computer Society.

Ruben Lopez joined Syniverse in November 2007 as chief information officer and senior vice president. Mr. Lopez has more than 25 years of experience in senior technology leadership positions. Most recently, he was with Emdeon Practice Services (now SAGE Software Healthcare Division), where he was senior vice president and chief information officer. Prior to that, he was chief information officer for the Florida Board of Education and Department of Education. Mr. Lopez also served as vice president and chief information officer at Intermedia Communications Inc. (divested to WorldCom). Laura Binion joined CheckFree Corporation in November 2001 as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. She is responsible for the supervision of the company's law department, and the management of its legal affairs, including contract, compliance, litigation, and corporate matters. Lori Gonnu joined Syniverse in April 2009 as executive vice president and general manager of the company's global roaming services and interworking line of business. Ms. Gonnu brings to Syniverse more than 18 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Before coming to Syniverse, she served as executive director of the international division of French mobile operator SFR. Ms. Gonnu began working for SFR's parent company Vivendi in 1990 in the cable television division and joined SFR in 1995. Fritz von Mering joined the Syniverse Board of Directors in August 2008. Mr. von Mering currently is a managing director of Miles River Management, a strategic planning and financial management consultancy, and also serves on the board of Microfinancial Corp (NASDAQ: MFI). One of the founders of the Boston Communications Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: BCGI), he held various roles during his tenure from 1989 to 2006, including chief operating officer, vice president of corporate development and chief financial officer. Prior to BCGI, he was chief financial officer of Massachusetts Gas & Electric and, before that, vice president/general manager for Metromedia Corp. He also held positions at Concept Industries Corp. and PWC (formerly Coopers & Lybrand). Mr. von Mering earned a master's of business degree from Babson College and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Boston College.

Jack Pearlstein has served as our Chief Financial Officer since April 2006. From September 2001 to November 2004, Mr. Pearlstein served as the Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary of DigitalNet Holdings, Inc., a leading provider of network, security, information and application services to U.S. defense and intelligence agencies. From September 2000 until July 2001, Mr. Pearlstein served as Chief Financial Officer of Commerce One, Inc. s Global Services division, which he joined in September 2000 when Commerce One, Inc. acquired AppNet, Inc., a leading provider of Internet- and electronic commerce-based professional services and solutions. Mr. Pearlstein also serves as a director of Syniverse Technologies, Inc., a NYSE-listed enabler of wireless voice and data communications for telecommunications companies, which is controlled by GTCR. Mr. Pearlstein has a B.S. in Accounting from New York University and an M.B.A. in Finance from George Washington University.

Robert J. Gerrard, Jr. joined the board of directors in April 2008. Mr. Gerrard currently serves as executive vice president and general counsel of Scripps Networks LLC, which he joined in 1997. He established the Scripps Networks legal department and oversaw the company’s human resources department until January 2007. From 1994-1997, he was vice president and general counsel of Sega Channel, a joint venture formed by cable television companies Time Warner Cable, Tele-Communications Inc. and videogame creator Sega. He was senior counsel for Home Box Office from 1982-1994 and a litigation associate with the Wall Street law firm Hughes Hubbard & Reed from 1977-1982. Mr. Gerrard earned his law degree from Harvard Law School and his bachelor’s degree from Harvard College.

Timothy A. Samples has served as a director since March 2007. Since January of 2003, he has been the principal of Sapience LLC in Scottsdale, Ariz., where he does consulting work and serves as a non-executive director for three telecommunications and technology companies. Mr. Samples has more than 20 years experience in the communications industry, including time as CEO, president and chairman of the board of management for Completel N.V., a Dutch-registered competitive local exchange carrier in London and Paris, from February 2001 to June 2002. From February 2000 to February 2001, he was CEO and president of Firstmark Communications, a Pan-European broadband company with operations in seven Western European countries; and from September 1997 to February 2000, he was CEO of One2One, a GSM service operator created through a joint venture between MediaOne Group and cable and wireless providers. From July 1995 to May 1996, Mr. Samples served as vice president and general manager for US West Cellular/AirTouch in Phoenix, Ariz. He also held earlier management, sales and marketing positions with US West/MediaOne Group.
