Paolo Serra was born in Rome in 1954. Mr. Serra graduated in Economics. He has been Chief Financial Officer of Telecom Italia Media S.p.A. since August 2003. He is a director of HMC, La7 Televisioni, Telecom Italia Media Broadcasting, TM News and Gruppo Buffetti. Prior to that, Paolo Serra was an Assistant Controller with Wabco–Westinghouse Compagnia Italiana Segnali S.p.A. (1980-1983) and head of the Operations Control department (1983-1987) in Digital Electronic Automatic S.p.A.. In July 1987, he joined the operations control department of STET- Società Finanziaria Telefonica, where he became an executive in October 1989. He was promoted to Central Deputy Manager in April 1993. In March 1994, he took over the Group Processes and Control function in the Strategy Planning Control and Development area of the Planning and Control Department. In July 1997, following the merger between STET and Telecom Italia, he was given responsibility over the Planning and Control function over the portfolio companies in the Control and Budget area of the Administration and Control department of the newly-named Telecom Italia. Between April 2000 and June 2002, he was Chief Financial Officer of Telespazio S.p.A. (Telecom Italia Group). Between June 2002 and July 2003, he was head of the Administration and Control function of IT Telecom (Information Technology S.p.A.).

Mr. De Maio was born in 1941. He graduated in 1964 in Electronic Engineering from the Milan Polytechnic, where he is currently Ordinary Professor of Innovation Management. Mr. De Maio was Rector of the Milan Polytechnic (1994-2002) and LUISS Guido Carli in Rome (2002-2005). He was Special Commissioner of the Center for National Research (CNR) between 2003 and 2004, with the mandate to reorganize it. Professor De Maio was Chairman of the group set up by the Ministry of Education, University and Research to evaluate Excellence Centers and coordinated the committee of advisors to the Minister for University Reform (2002-2004). Professor De Maio was a member of the Board of Directors of the Ecole Centrale Paris (1998-2002), where he received a “Diploma de Docteur Honoris Causa” in 2003 and, between 2000 and 2002, was Chairman of TIME – an Association of the leading 40 technical European Universities; currently he is TIME’s Honorary Chairman At present, Professor De Maio is Chairman of IRER, Lombardy’s regional research institute, and is an advisor to the Chairman of Lombardy’s Regional Executive on University, Research and Innovation, as well as Chairman of Milan’s Roll of Engineers and Architects. He is also Chairman of the Investment Committee of the venture capital fund Next. Professor De Maio authored numerous publications on company management and on research and innovation governance. He qualifies as an independent director under Telecom Italia Media’s governance code.

MARIO ZANONE POMA Born in Zumaglia, near Biella, in 1939. Graduated in Economics. Mr. Zanone Poma started his a career with Olivetti in 1960, working in its sales department until 1964. He is the leader of the independent directors of Telecom Italia Media and is Chairman of the Internal Control Committee. Between November 1996 and February 1999 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Space Agency. He was a member of the Executive Committee of the European Cultural Foundation based in Amsterdam. Between November 1996 and February 2004 he was member of the General Board of Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation. He is Chairman of the Italian Council for Social Sciences and is editor of the journal “Queste Istituzioni” (“These Institutions”) He authored numerous publications on Government Budget and Public Finances, Foundations and market finance for local public utilities, technology transfers. Sergio Ristuccia qualifies as an independent director under Telecom Italia Media’s governance code.
