It also provides corporate data communications services, internet and pay phone services. It supplies telephones and technical equipment for telephone communications. It has three segments: wireline, wireless, and other activities, which cover internal financial services. Founded in 1881, this A4.4 billion company is based in Vienna, Austria and employs about 15,600 people. In December 2005 Cisco Systems and IDG Global Solutions awarded Telekom Austria's Broadband Infrastructure the European Industry Benchmark - Award Bestowed within Framework of 'Networkers 2005 EMEA'. In March 2005 the company completed its purchase of MobilTel AD, the leading Bulgarian wireless operator for A80 million.
