Carol Kline is responsible for driving TeleTech’s IT strategy and operations, including the launch of the company’s next generation of technology innovation. Kline has more than 20 years of experience in managing dynamic technology environments and global operations teams. Her cross-departmental expertise, teambuilding skills, and global leadership capabilities enable her to galvanize TeleTech knowledge workers from around the world to develop new, innovative technology tools that are readily available to the company’s Global 1000 client base. As TeleTech’s senior vice president of global finance, John Troka is also currently serving as the interim chief financial officer. Troka performs as a strategic partner to other functions within the organization, providing the financial infrastructure and analytical support necessary to meet the company’s ongoing vision. Troka works closely with the leadership team to ensure that the company’s global cost structure allows TeleTech to offer its clients competitive products and services. In addition, Troka ensures that TeleTech continues to financially operate in accordance with the diverse governmental rules and regulations that direct its global operations. In January of 2002, Troka came to TeleTech from Qwest Communications, formerly US WEST Communications, where he was vice president of finance. Since 2001, Mr. Barlett has been vice chairman of TeleTech Holdings, Inc. where he works directly with the company's four regional general managers in North America, Asia Pacific, Europe, and Latin America. Mr. Barlett is also responsible for Percepta, TeleTech's joint venture with Ford Motor Company. Ruth C. Lipper was elected to the board of directors of TeleTech in May 2002. Ms. Lipper has spent more than 25 years working in various financial and philanthropic leadership roles. From 1987 to 2000, Ms. Lipper was senior vice president and treasurer for Lipper Analytical Services, Inc. Founded in 1973, Lipper Analytical Services was analyzing nearly 40,000 mutual funds through offices in the United States, London, and Hong Kong at the time of its sale to Reuters Group PLC in 1998. Shirley Young is President of Shirley Young Associates, LLC, a business advisory company for companies interested in business development in the China market. She also serves as senior adviser to General Motors-Asia Pacific. From 1988 until December 31, 1999, she served as corporate Vice President of General Motors Corp involved in development of GM's $1.5 billion joint venture in Shanghai. Her most recent assignment as Vice President for China Strategic Development and Asia Pacific Counselor included operational responsibility for marketing, distribution and sales in China. Earlier, she served as Vice President for Consumer Market Development at General Motors' headquarters, working across the various marketing divisions of the company. Prior to that, she spent over 20 years at Grey Advertising working in a wide range of industries with many of the world's leading marketers. In addition to her expertise in brand development and consumer marketing, Shirley Young has served on the Board of Directors of the Bank of America, Bell Atlantic/Verizon Corporation, Dayton-Hudson Corporation, Holiday Inn/Promus/Harrah's and the Bombay Company. She was named Advertising Woman of the Year by the American Advertising Federation and received the Women's Equity Action Award for Achievement in Advertising. In 1998, Northwood University named her Outstanding Business Leader. Catalyst magazine awarded her the Catalyst Award for Outstanding Corporate Director and the Chinese-American Planning Council named her Woman of the Year. She received a Director's Choice Award from the National Women's Economic Alliance.
