Success is Seamless for Tenaris. Tenaris S.A. (NYSE:TS; Buenos Aires: TEN) makes seamless steel pipes for the oil and gas industry; for process and power plants and for industrial and automotive applications. The company is also a regional supplier of welded steel pipes, casings, tubing and line pipe for oil and gas industry in South America. With its subsidiaries extending through South America, Japan, Mexico and Romania, the company's distribution network extends across 20 countries. Founded in 1909 and based in Luxembourg, the company has revenue of $6.7 billion and employs about 16,500 people. In January 2006 the company completed the acquisition of the welded pipe assets and facilities of Acindar Industria Argentina de Aceros S.A. (Acindar) located in Villa Constitucion, Santa Fe, for $28 million. In May 2005 the company completed the acquisition of a 97% shareholding in Donasid S.A, a Romanian steel producer, for approximately $45 million.
