D. James Guzy served as a member of our Board of Directors from June 2000 through May 2005. Since 1969, he has served as President of the Arbor Company, a limited partnership involved in the electronics and computer industry. Mr. Guzy is a director of PLX Technology, Inc., Intel Corporation, Cirrus Logic, Inc., Davis Selected Group of Mutual Funds and Alliance Capital Management Technology Fund. Mr. Guzy received a B.S. from the University of Minnesota and an M.S. from Stanford University. All directors hold office until our next annual meeting of the stockholders and until their successors have been duly elected or qualified. There are no family relationships between any of our directors or executive officers.

Henry R. Nothhaft has served as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Danger Inc., a software company for wireless service providers since October 2002. From May 2001 to October 2002, he served as President and CEO of Endforce, an IP software company, where he continues as non-executive Chairman since October 2002. Mr. Nothhaft joined Concentric Network Corporation, a recognized market leader in Enterprise Virtual Private Networks, high-speed access and electronic commerce enabled web hosting, as President and Chief Executive Officer in 1995, and became Chairman of the Board in 1998. In June 2000, Concentric merged with Nextlink and became XO Communications, Inc., with Mr. Nothhaft serving as Vice Chairman until April 2001. From 1989 to 1994, Mr. Nothhaft was President and Chief Executive Officer of David Systems, a data networking equipment firm. From 1983 to 1989, he held various executive positions and served on the Board of Directors of DSC Communications Corporation, a telecommunications company that designs, develops, manufactures and markets digital switching, access, transport and private network system products for the worldwide telecommunications marketplace. From 1979 to 1983, Mr. Nothhaft was Vice President of Marketing and Sales for GTE Telenet Communications Corporation (now Sprint), the first public data network provider in the U.S. He received an M.B.A. in Information Systems Technology from George Washington University and a B.S. in Economics from the U.S. Naval Academy, and is a former officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Goodrich is currently the chief executive officer of a start-up business computer system management company in Sunnyvale, California. He has served as a member of Tessera's board of directors since August 2001. Goodrich is a former member of the law firm of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he practiced corporate law for 30 years until retiring in January 2002. He presently serves on the board of Trimble Navigation Limited, as well as the boards of several private companies. Bernard J. "Barney" Cassidy is general counsel and senior vice president of Tessera. Cassidy joined Tessera as its general counsel and senior vice president in November 2008. Before coming to Tessera, Cassidy served for more than nine years as general counsel and senior vice president for Tumbleweed Communications Corp., where he was responsible for corporate development and legal matters. Prior to Tumbleweed, he practiced law at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati, and at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. Cassidy also served as law clerk to the Honorable John T. Noonan, Jr., a judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. Cassidy holds a juris doctorate from Harvard Law School, Cambridge, Mass.; a master's degree in philosophy from the University of Toronto, Toronto, Ontario; and a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Loyola University, New Orleans, La. While at Harvard Law School, he was a research assistant to Professor Arthur R. Miller, focusing on federal civil practice and procedure, and served as an editor of the Harvard Law Review.

David B. Tuckerman, Ph.D. has served as our Chief Technical Officer and Senior Vice President since February 2003. From 1998 to 2003 he was a consultant and partner in several venture capital funds for CMEA Ventures. Dr. Tuckerman co-founded nCHIP Inc. and, from 1989 to 1995, served as Chief Technology Officer. From 1996 to 1997, Dr. Tuckerman worked at Flextronics International Ltd. Prior to that, Dr. Tuckerman, managed advanced research and development projects at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and, before that, worked for International Business Machines at its T.J. Watson Research Center and Cambridge Scientific Center. Dr. Tuckerman received a B.S. in physics and electrical engineering and an M.S. in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also received a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. Dr. Tuckerman holds 15 United States patents, has authored more than 50 technical publications and is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

H. Thomas Blanco is senior vice president and chief administrative officer for Tessera. Blanco joined the company in February 2006 as vice president of Human Resources and Administration, with more than 20 years of executive and human resources management experience.
Prior to joining Tessera, Blanco was vice president of Human Resources and Administration at Cloudmark, where he was responsible for human resources, technical and customer support, facilities and sales operations. Before Cloudmark, he was vice president of Human Resources and Administration at Liquid Audio. Previous to Liquid Audio, Tom was at Aspect Communications, where he was senior director of Human Resources for sales operations and international. He spent 14 years Bank of America prior to that and held various positions, including senior vice president of Business Engineering Services.
Blanco holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish/English Literature, and has completed coursework for his master’s degree, both from Queens College of City University of New York.
Michael Anthofer is executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) of Tessera. Anthofer joined the company in September 2008 and is responsible for the company's finance office, accounting, strategic planning and investor relations. He brings more than 30 years of technology company financial expertise to his position as he works to expand Tessera's business footprint, and help manage and execute its long-term growth strategy. Anthofer came to Tessera from Kodiak Networks Inc., a privately held provider of mobile solutions to wireless providers, which he joined in 2003 as vice president and CFO. Prior to Kodiak, he served as senior vice president and CFO of Smartpipes Inc., a maker of network access control software. Before joining Smartpipes, Inc., in 2001, Anthofer was senior vice president and CFO of Concentric Network Corp., which merged with Nextlink Communications to form XO Communications. During his tenure, he grew the company from $2 million in annual revenue to over $250 million in five years, and was instrumental in taking the company public in August of 1997. Prior to Concentric, Anthofer served as executive vice president and CFO of Shared Resources Exchange Inc., a digital switching equipment maker. Earlier, he held several vice president level positions at DSC Communications Corporation, a Fortune 1000 corporation. Anthofer earned a master's degree in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley, and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from U.C. Berkeley.
Michael Bereziuk is executive vice president of Tessera’s Imaging and Optics business. He joined Tessera in 2006 as the executive vice president of the company’s Product Division.
Prior to Tessera, Bereziuk held executive level positions at Zarlink Semiconductor, a communications semiconductor company, including senior vice president, Strategic Business Development, and senior vice president and general manager of the Consumer Communications business unit. Bereziuk also held numerous senior positions during the 16 years he was at National Semiconductor Corporation, including senior vice president and general manager of Worldwide Sales and Marketing; senior vice president and general manager of its Personal Systems Group; and vice president and general manager of the company’s Embedded Systems Division.
Bereziuk received a bachelor’s degree with honors in electronic and electrical engineering from Cardiff University in the United Kingdom.

Before coming to Tessera, Marcucci served for more than five years as a senior vice president for Amkor Technology, Inc., in Chandler Arizona, where he was responsible for corporate development. Prior to Amkor, he held various senior level sales, marketing and business development positions at Onyx Software, Encyc, Inc., Cambrex Corp., and Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. Marcucci holds a master's degree in business administration from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. He has a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Villanova University, where he was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Tau Beta Pi Honor Societies.

Craig Mitchell is senior vice president of the Interconnect, Components and Materials (ICM) division at Tessera. In this leadership role, Mitchell defines the company's business and technology strategy relating to the semiconductor packaging and electronics interconnect markets. He joined Tessera in 1992 to play a central role in developing and facilitating global adoption of Tessera's advanced packaging technologies. Prior to his current position, Mitchell was vice president of business development and sales, as well as vice president of marketing. His previous management positions include vice president of Tessera's memory business, director of product and technical marketing, and director of field applications for the company. Mitchell is named as inventor on 32 patents. He received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Manhattan College, New York City.
John Keating is senior vice president of Tessera’s corporate development program. Keating has 25 years of business development and finance experience in new corporate ventures and early stage technology businesses. Since joining Tessera in 2003, he has played a key role in spearheading the company’s mergers and acquisitions, which have driven the company’s long-term growth strategy.
Prior to Tessera, Keating was chief operating officer for Santel Networks, Inc. and interim chief financial officer and vice president of Business Development at Novera Optics, Inc. At these two Silicon Valley start-ups, he raised equity funding, established partnering deals, and led business development and marketing teams. Keating was also a vice president at Amoco Technology Company, where he managed M&A and corporate ventures. Prior to joining Amoco, he was a founder of Simulaser Corp., a developer of military electro-optical systems.
Keating holds master’s degree in business administration and bachelor’s in economics from the University of California at Los Angeles. He serves on the education committee of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and is a member of the Silicon Valley chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.

Robert Boehlke currently serves on the board of directors for LTX Corp. and MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc. Previously he served on the board of directors of Entegris Inc., QuickLogic Corp., DuPont Photomasks, Inc. and Semi-Sematech. He was the executive vice president and chief financial officer for KLA-Tencor prior to his retirement in 2000. During his 17-year tenure with KLA-Tencor, Boehlke held a variety of management positions including chief operating officer and chief financial officer. During Boehlke's tenure at KLA, revenue grew from $17 million for the full-year 1983 to $1.5 billion for the full-year 2000. Prior to joining KLA-Tencor, Boehlke was an investment banking partner at Kidder, Peabody & Company, Inc. Mr. Boehlke received his master's degree in business administration from Harvard University and earned his bachelor's degree in science from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
