Texas Diabetes Institute

Curtis Triplitt is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Diabetes at the Texas Diabetes Institute. He also holds the appointment of Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy with the Clinical Pharmacy Program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He has been an investigator in multiple research studies in the field of diabetes and has published several book chapters on diabetes as well as in such peer-reviewed journals as Diabetes Care, Diabetes Spectrum, Pharmacotherapy, and Drugs.

Kenneth J. Simcic, MD serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine/Endocrinology and the Osteoporosis & Metabolic Bone Disease Clinic at the Texas Diabetes Institute. Dr. Simcic completed an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine (1982) and a Fellowship in Endocrinology in 1989. He has also been an active medical teacher throughout his career. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a member of the Endocrine Society and is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology.

is Medical Director of the Texas Diabetes Institute Adult Renal services and Associate Professor of Medicine at the UTHSC at San Antonio. He received his training in Internal Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, completing a Fellowship in Nephrology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
