Charles Barnett joins the Alpine Group as a Vice President after serving as a Legislative Assistant to Senator Blanche Lincoln (D-AR). He was a member of Sen. Lincoln's staff since working on her first Senate campaign in Arkansas. During his tenure with Senator Lincoln, Mr. Barnett was a senior advisor on energy policy, environmental issues and transportation-related matters. In this capacity, he concentrated on energy supply, the comprehensive energy bill, conservation and energy related tax incentives. He also focused on environmental law and regulation as well as resource issues. Prior to serving Senator Lincoln, Mr. Barnett was a Chemical Engineer with Genesis Environmental Consulting in Little Rock, Arkansas. While there, he was responsible for the development of specific projects involving air pollution control and modeling, water and wastewater design and permitting, solid waste facility oversight and construction, and hazardous waste management and disposal. Mr. Barnett was previously employed by the Hazardous Waste Department of the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality where he was involved with many aspects of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) permitting for facilities in Arkansas. He also conducted Superfund site inspections for the State of Arkansas and assisted in the preparation of cleanup procedures for these sites. Kim began recruiting pharmaceutical and biotech executives in November of 2000. Her specialization is in recruiting Medical Affairs executives such as Medical Science Liaisons, MSL Managers/Directors and Medical Directors who focus in clinical business strategy. Previous to her recruiting career, Kim was a successful account executive for 8 years at companies where she sold products in both the advertising and technology arenas.

Dave Murphy is the Owner/Manager of The Alpine Group and specializes in recruiting Sales Management, Marketing and Business Development personnel in the Biopharmaceutical, Medical Device and Life Science industry.

Amber Yates is a Project Coordinator with Alpine Group, specializing in placing executives in Medical Affairs positions. She recruits Medical Science Liaisons and MSL managers with pharmaceutical and biotech companies with needs in any geography in the US. She works with both tenured MSLs whom have years of pertinent experience and with the new, but qualified potential executives who want to join MSL teams. Amber's strength is in learning about candidate's needs so she can place them in companies that will provide a career development solutions to those executives who want professional growth. She takes a "common sense" approach to helping with career change.

James R. Kanely , age 66, has served as a director of the Company since August 17, 2005 and as a member of the Audit Committee, the Compensation Committee and the Governance and Nominating Committee since July 1, 2007, April 19, 2006, and February 14, 2007, respectively. Since August 1993, Mr. Kanely has served as a member of the board of directors and chairman of the audit committee of The Alpine Group, Inc., a publicly-traded industrial holding company. He is also on the board of directors of two privately-held companies: Taco, Inc., a manufacturer of pumps, valves and control systems for residential and commercial hydronic systems; and PPC Insulators, Inc., a manufacturer of porcelain insulators for the electrical utility industry.

Ken Byers founded Atlanta based Byers Engineering Company in 1971 to offer technical services and software services to utilities. President and sole shareowner of the 1100 employee firm, Ken is also a director of The Alpine Group, Inc., a public manufacturing company, and is Chairman of eQuorum Corporation, a private software company. Ken endowed the Byers Eminent Scholar Chair in Optical Networking and three Byers Professorships at Georgia Tech and serves as a trustee of the Georgia Tech Foundation. He is a past director of the Chief Executives Organization and a past Chairman of the Georgia Tech Electrical Engineering Advisory Board. Ken is also a past Chairman of the SciTrek Museum, Atlanta's former science and technology museum. A registered Professional Engineer in 18 states, Ken earned a BEE (under the co-op program with Southern Bell) and an MSEE from Georgia Tech. He also received an MBA from Georgia State University. Outside of business, Ken has been a director and officer of his Rotary Club of Atlanta, and he enjoys tennis, running, and amateur radio (call letters K4TEA).
