Diana spent 15 years with a large regional brokerage before joining our staff.

John is a Staff Writer in the Tax & Financial Planning Department. He is a graduate of Harvard University and the Duke University School of Law and earned an M.S.B.A. in Taxation from the University of Cincinnati College of Business. Mr. Fenton is a former Chairman of the Elder Law Committee of the Cincinnati Bar Association and has taught Estate and Gift Taxation and Estate Planning in the graduate taxation program at the University of Cincinnati College of Business.

Joseph is an Associate Editor in the Tax and Financial Planning department. He is an author and editor of both Tax Facts on Insurance & Employee Benefits and Tax Facts on Investments and is the lead editor of The Social Security Manual. He has also been involved in the editing of all the Tools and Techniques books. Mr. Stenken's expertise includes the areas of life insurance and annuities, business entities, and the taxation of investments.

Kelly Maheu: 7 YEARS OF INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE, Staff Writer of FC&S, specializes in commercial liability coverages. Before joining FC&S, Kelly worked in the legal, insurance, and research areas. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law, Kelly has experience in insurance defense and research and also worked as a claims representative for Progressive Insurance.

Sonya is an Assistant Editor in the Tax & Financial Planning Department. As a Tax Facts editor, she covers the materials on charitable contributions, investments, tax sheltered annuities, and welfare benefit plans. She also serves as the lead editor of Garrett's Guide to Financial Planning, The Cutting Edge in Financial Services, and The Tools & Techniques of Practice Management.

Steven Brostoff has been National Underwriter's Washington editor since 1986. In his position, Mr. Brostoff covers all insurance-related issues in Congress, at federal agencies and before the Supreme Court. Prior to joining NU, Mr. Brostoff served as an assistant editor for a New York-based financial publication, The Money Manager, and as a reporter for a community newspaper in Evanston, Ill. Mr. Brostoff received his B.A. degree in psychology from the University of Illinois, Chicago, and an M.A. in journalism from Penn State University. He also received a law degree from George Mason University School of Law, where he won an American Jurisprudence Award.

Assistant Editor, FC&S. Susan specializes in Commercial Property and Business Income. Susan has a legal background, and prior to joining FC&S, worked as a court researcher.

William is the author of the Ultimate Trust Resource (including the Trust Calculator), and the Tax Facts Ultimate IRA Resource (including the IRA Calculator). He is also a Senior Associate Editor of Tax Facts on Insurance & Employee Benefits, Tax Facts on Investments, and TaxFacts News.

Ara has been a writer, marketing professional and public speaker on technology for business since 1982. He has written for a wide range of business and technology publications, including Computer Decisions, Beyond Computing, PC Today, Office Systems and many more. He has spoken before the Business Technology Association, ASCnet, the AMS User Group, ACORD and the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association, among others. Most recently, he delivered a double session on Cutting Edge Technologies for the 21st Century at the ASCnet annual conference in Las Vegas. He has also given keynote addresses at the Fiserv Client Conference in Las Vegas and at the Wisconsin IASA Annual Meeting. He is currently the technology editor and a regular columnist for both the P&C and Life/Health Editions of National Underwriter.

Robert Regis Hyle has spent more than 25 years as a journalist for a variety of regional and business publications. With Tech Decisions, he has written articles on network and systems security, e-commerce, document management, technology standards, and outsourcing. Prior to joining the staff of Tech Decisions, he spent two years as editor of a sister publication, The Ohio Underwriter where he covered insurance topics ranging from commercial and personal lines to long term care products, life, and annuity sales trends. He has spoken on insurance and technology topics, including the annual IASA conference. He is a graduate of Xavier University in Cincinnati with a degree in Communication Arts.

Trevor Thomas is an Associate Editor of National Underwriter's Life & Health/Financial Services edition, which he joined in 1998. His primary responsibilities include editing supplements in worksite insurance trends and banks-in-insurance. In addition, he is lead writer for, and help prepare, LTC e-Wire, an e-newsletter for long term care insurance specialists published by NU. Mr. Thomas was promoted to his current position in 2004. Previously, he has served as associate editor of Business News New Jersey and has had senior writing and editing positions with Warren, Gorham & Lamont, the Research Institute of America, the National Institute of Business Management and the American Management Association. He has a B.A. in Communication Arts from Fordham University.
