Dow Jones Description

The UniMark Group, Inc. was founded in 1992 as a citrus and tropical fruit growing and processing company. We successfully developed the SunfreshTM line of processed citrus and tropical foods that we sold to Del Monte Corporation. In 2004, we introduced our lemons into the United States fresh market with initial sales to some of the largest supermarket chains, including Wal-Mart, Kroger, SAM's Club, and H-E-B. Our objective is to provide the highest quality fresh lemons to our customers on a consistent basis. To achieve this objective, our strategy includes utilizing state of the art agricultural and post harvest practices and technology, utilizing leading industry expertise, and focusing on product safety and quality. Sierra Foods is vertically integrated and ensure food safety through the implementation of traceability programs and ISO Certification programs (EUREPGAP). In 2005, we entered into a strategic marketing agreement with DNE World Fruit Sales to market and distribute our lemons in the United States.
