Rick E Winningham joined Theravance as Chief Executive Officer and a member of our Board of Directors in October 2001. From 1997 to 2001 he served as President, Bristol-Myers Squibb Oncology/Immunology/ Oncology Therapeutics Network (OTN) and also as President of Global Marketing from 2000 to 2001. In addition to operating responsibility for U.S. Oncology/Immunology/OTN at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Mr. Winningham also had full responsibility for Global Marketing in the Cardiovascular, Infectious Disease, Immunology, Oncology/ Metabolics and GU/GI/Neuroscience therapeutic areas. Mr. Winningham held various management positions with Bristol-Myers Squibb and its predecessor, Bristol-Myers, since 1986. Mr. Winningham holds an M.B.A. from Texas Christian University and a B.S. degree from Southern Illinois University.

Oranee T. Daniels, M.D., joined Theravance as Vice President, Clinical Pharmacology, in January of 2009. Prior to joining Theravance, Dr. Daniels worked in the Early Development Clinical Pharmacology at Amgen Inc. since 2004, most recently as Executive Director. From 2001-2004, she was a clinical pharmacologist at Eli Lilly and Company. Early in her career, Dr. Daniels was Assistant Professor in Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand and Research Associate of Life Sciences in Stanford University. She obtained her M.D. and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Chulalongkorn University. Dr. Daniels holds a M.Sc. degree in Cardiovascular Pharmacology from McMaster University. She completed her Clinical Pharmacology fellowship at Stanford University and is board certified in clinical pharmacology.

David L. Brinkley joined Theravance as the Head of Business Development in November 2008. David previously served as Senior Vice President, Commercial Development at Theravance from September 2000 through December 2007, when he left to start a consulting practice. From 1996 to 2000 he served as Worldwide Team Leader for Viagra at Pfizer Inc. leading the team that had full responsibility for the global launch and marketing of Viagra. Mr. Brinkley joined Pfizer in 1995 through its acquisition of SmithKline Beecham's Animal Health operations and was Director of new product planning before leading the Viagra launch team. Michael G. Mullen is the Managing Director of Tarvos Capital Management, a private investment firm he founded in 2005 located south of Boston - a leading geographic center for biomedical research and industry in the United States. He began his investment research amd portfolio management career in the early 1980's with leading fundamental research and investment trust departments in the Midwestern U.S. In 1990, Michael crossed the street to join the sell-side as a senior medical device analyst at Cowen & Company and for nine years co-led the #1 research team in medical technology according to the Greenwich Institutional Research Survey and Institutional Investor Magazine. As a managing director and partner, Michael has been interviewed and quoted in leading investor publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Smart Money, Fortune and The Wall Street Transcript, to name a few, and established an impeccable reputation for integrity, knowledge of the industry and insights into individual companies. In 1991, Mr. Mullen came back to asset management and joined the Bellevue Group of Zurich, Switzerland. As President of its U.S. research group, Michael was lead portfolio manager for BB Medtech and later joined its flagship product BB Biotech as portfolio mangager for private equity and public small-cap biotech stocks. Michael is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of EyeGate Pharmaceuticals Inc., and formerly a member of the Boards of Centelion SAS, Eyetech Pharmaceuticals Inc, and Theravance, Inc. Mr. Mullen graduated from Fordham University with a B.S. in accounting and finance in 1980. In 1984 he received his MBA from the Indiana University Graduate School of Business where he is also currently a member of the Reese Fund Investment Board. In 1987 he earned the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst. He is a member of the Boston Financial Analysts Society and also a member of the CFA Institute.
