Dr. Graham joined Trimeris in 2005. Previously, Dr. Graham served as Chief Medical Officer for XTL Biopharmaceuticals Ltd. where he developed, planned, and executed clinical development strategies, as well as served as project leader for the hepatitis B and hepatitis C clinical programs. Dr. Graham was Vice President of Clinical Research and Medical Affairs prior to XTL with Tibotec-Virco NV, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, overseeing the development of their HIV portfolio. Earlier in his career, Dr. Graham worked at Glaxo Wellcome Inc. as Director of HIV Programs, and was the US strategic leader on the global HIV Therapeutic Area management team, as well as co-leader of the US HIV Business Team. Dr. Graham was also an Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Medicine at Johns Hopkins University for 8 years after attending the University of Adelaide in Australia, where he received MBBS, MD, and MPH degrees.

Mr. Bonczek assumed his role of Chief Financial Officer in September 1999. Prior to his full-time appointment at Trimeris, Mr. Bonczek spent two years as a legal and business consultant to the Trimeris executive team. His professional background includes 24 years at E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co., where he served in various executive positions including Chief Counsel and Corporate Director of Safety, Health, and Environmental Affairs. Mr. Bonczek holds a BA in chemistry and a JD from the University of North Carolina, as well as an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Capone joined Trimeris in 2002, bringing 16 years of US and international commercial experience. Mr. Capone's previous leadership includes Vice President Marketing and Commercial Development at Triangle Pharmaceuticals, Inc. where his primary responsibility was for the commercial development of HIV, hepatitis B and cancer drug candidates. Previous to his experience at Triangle Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Capone served as the Director, Infectious Diseases and Immunology at Bristol Myers-Squibb where he led the international franchise of Antimicrobial, Antiviral, and Immunological drugs. Mr. Capone also held marketing and sales management positions in the US and the Netherlands for Lederle Pharmaceuticals, now part of Wyeth, Inc. Mr. Capone holds a BA in International Relations from Brown University and an MBA from Columbia University.

Mr. Lipton, age 65, is the President and Chief Executive Officer and a Director of NOVA Chemicals Corporation. He joined NOVA in 1993 after a 29-year career with the DuPont Company, where he held a number of management and executive positions. He is a member of the United States Steel Corporation Board of Directors and Chair of its Audit Committee. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives and the American Chemistry Council. He is a past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Chemistry Council and the American Section of the Society of Chemical Industries.

E. Gary Cook, age 59, became a director of LP in 2000. Mr. Cook was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Witco Corporation, a global specialty chemicals company, until his retirement in 1999. Until 1996, he was President, Chief Operating Officer, and a director of Albemarle Corporation, a global specialty chemicals company spun off from Ethyl Corporation in 1994, where Mr. Cook had been a Senior Vice President and director since 1992. Previously, Mr. Cook was a Vice President of E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company. He is also a director of Trimeris Corporation, a biopharmaceutical company.

Dr. Felix J. Baker has served as a director of Neurogen Corporation since May 1999. Dr. Baker is a Managing Member of Baker Bros. Advisors, LLC, which he and his brother, Julian Baker, founded in 2000. Dr. Baker's firm manages Baker Brothers Investments, a family of long-term investment funds for major university endowments and foundations, which are focused on publicly traded life sciences companies. Dr. Baker's career as a fund-manager began in 1994 when he co-founded a biotechnology investing partnership with the Tisch Family. Dr. Baker holds a B.S. and a Ph.D. in Immunology from Stanford University, where he also completed two years of medical school. He is also a director of Conjuchem Inc., Seattle Genetics, Inc., and Trimeris, Inc.
