Jim Johnson is the CEO of Tripwire, a leading change audit technology company located in Portland, Oregon. Previously, Jim spent 27 years with Intel Corp in many roles including the Oregon Site Manager, Vice President of the Technology & Manufacturing Group, General Manager of the Internet Service Operation, Director of Marketing for the Internet and Communications Group, and co-founder of Intel PCEO (Intel's retail products group, which he grew to over $500M in sales). Jim is a member of numerous boards and professional organizations, and has unparalleled strategic leadership experience. John Kelly serves in multiple business strategy roles at Symantec Corp., among them directing many aspects of their intellectual property strategy. His duties include aligning Symantec's IP portfolio with their long term business goals. He also created their patent acquisition strategy and process and analyzes IP as part of Symantec's M&A activity. Previous roles in the software industry (at Symantec, Microsoft, Veritas, a small Microsoft VAR, and in private consulting) included product management, business development and alliances, deal development and negotiation, product marketing, product strategy, and competitive strategy. As the Director of Windows Platform Strategy at Veritas, John was responsible for strategic planning for platform expansion for Veritas storage management and high availability products on Windows.

Bob McCarthy is Vice President and CFO of Tripwire, Inc., and is responsible for Finance, HR and Operations. Prior to joining Tripwire in 1999, Bob had been CFO of several development-stage software companies in the Portland area, including Quantitative Technology Corporation, CAChe Scientific, which was acquired by Oxford Molecular Group, and Eagle Design Automation, which was acquired by Synopsys. Bob received his BS from the University of San Francisco and his MBA from Golden Gate University.

As Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Bob Dunne brings to Tripwire over 28 years of sustained success at all levels of high technology sales management. Most recently, Dunne led sales and worldwide services for Merant PLC, a software development company focused on enterprise IT asset configuration management. Prior to Merant, Dunne led worldwide sales for RadiSys, a developer of embedded systems, and Webridge, an Internet software infrastructure company. Bob's initiation into sales and marketing was with IBM, followed by senior management positions at Mentor Graphics and Zycad, and 12 years with Tektronix in a variety of key management positions, including vice president of sales of its Video & Networking Division and general manager of the Network Computing Group.

James Richardson has led an illustrious career in high tech over the past 25 years, and now acts as a consultant to high tech companies. His experience includes service as senior vice president and chief financial officer of WebTrends Corporation, which merged with NetIQ Corporation in March of 2001. Prior to WebTrends, Richardson was vice president and chief financial officer at Network General Corporation. There he managed the $1.2 billion merger with McAfee Associates, resulting in the creation of Network Associates. Before that, Richardson was vice president and chief financial officer of Logic Modeling Corporation, now a division of Synopsis, and vice president and chief financial officer of Advanced Logic Research. Additionally, Richardson is a member of several committees including, FEI Company-Audit Committee Member, Digimarc Corporation-Audit Committee Chair, Governance Committee Member and Plumtree Software-Compensation Committee Chair & Audit and Nominating Committee Member. He holds a doctorate degree in law, cum laude, from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Portland.

In 2000 Rick Devine recruited Steve Harrick as vice president of acquisitions for Internet Capital Group (ICG). Devine was managing director of executive recruiting for the ICG at the time. At ICG Harrick was responsible for identifying and executing strategic acquisitions, generating partner company liquidity, and providing operational advice to partner company management teams. He joined ICG from Highland Capital Partners in Boston, where as a principal he focused on enterprise software and Internet technologies. Before entering the venture capital industry, Harrick worked in new-business development for Netscape Communications and in mergers and acquisitions for Morgan Stanley. He earned a bachelor's degree in history from Yale University and a master's in business administration from Harvard Business School. He is currently managing director and general partner of Institutional Venture Partners, where he focuses on expansion-stage venture capital investments within the software, Internet and communications sectors.
