Dow Jones Description

Tropos Networks is the market leader in delivering metro-scale Wi-Fi mesh network systems. Our systems have been selected to unwire more major league cities than all competitors combined. At Tropos, we develop technology based on what our customers want and need. With more than 350 deployments worldwide, we've gotten to know pretty well what those wants and needs are. Metro-scale Wi-Fi is different than enterprise wireless, which is different than wireline networking. Huge differences. That's why we've developed a system, from the ground up, that's purpose-built for this environment. Tropos MetroMesh solutions deliver true wireless broadband (>1 Mbps downloading and uploading). They require only 10% of the capital investment and 8% of the operating expense of 3G cellular networks on a capacity adjusted basis. Low-cost Wi-Fi clients can connect to Tropos MetroMesh networks with no need for additional hardware or software.
