Peter A. Thompson, M.D., FACP, is one of our founders and has served as our president and chief executive officer since May 2002, as our treasurer since December 2002, as a member of our board of directors since February 2002, and as the chairman of our board of directors since March 2006. From 2003 to 2006, Dr. Thompson served as a venture partner at ATP Capital, a venture capital firm. Previously, Dr. Thompson served as chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors of iMetrikus, a healthcare technology company, which he co-founded. Prior to iMetrikus, Dr. Thompson served as vice president and general manager of Chiron Informatics, and prior to Chiron, he served as vice president, research and technology development at Becton Dickinson Immunocytometry Systems. Dr. Thompson is a board certified medical oncologist and internist who received an M.D. and a Sc.B. from Brown University. In 2007, Dr. Thompson received the distinguished Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award in the Pacific Northwest Region, in the category of Life Sciences.

Michelle G. Burris (41) was appointed as a director of the Company in May 2004. Ms. Burris is currently Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Trubion Pharmaceuticals, Inc, a position she has held since February 2006. From August 2005 to January 2006, Ms. Burris served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Dendreon Corporation. From January 2001 to July 2005, she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Corixa Corporation, which was sold to GlaxoSmithKline in 2005. Ms. Burris had worked at Corixa since its inception in 1994, and prior to her last position at the firm, had served in various capacities of increasing responsibility in finance and operations. Prior to Corixa, Ms. Burris held several finance and strategic planning positions at The Boeing Company. Ms. Burris is on the Advisory Board of Albers School of Business and Economics at Seattle University. She received a Post Graduate Certificate in accounting and an MBA from Seattle University, and a B.S. from George Mason University. Ms. Burris received her Certified Public Accountant Certification from the State of Washington; however, she is no longer an active CPA.

Dr. Stromatt has served as our Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer since August 2008. Prior to joining Trubion, Dr. Stromatt held several senior management positions at Cell Therapeutics, most recently serving as Executive Vice President, Clinical Development and Regulatory Affairs. Prior to Cell Therapeutics, Dr. Stromatt was an employee of Northwest Biotherapeutics Inc., where he held the position of Vice President of Clinical Research and Chief Medical Officer. His earlier positions included: Senior Vice President at CE Unterberg Tobin, an investment bank, consultant to a variety of biotechnology and pharmaceutical firms, Vice President of Clinical Research at Synergen, and Director of Medical Affairs at Searle Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Stromatt received an M.D. from the University of Chicago and an MBA and B.A. from the University of Colorado.

Anders D. Hove, M.D., has served as a member of our board of directors since July 2004. Dr. Hove is a general partner of Venrock Associates, a venture capital firm, which he joined in 2004. From 1996 to 2004, Dr. Hove was a fund manager at BB Biotech Fund, an investment firm, and from 2002 to 2003 he served as chief executive officer of Bellevue Asset Management, an investment company. Dr. Hove is a member of the boards of directors of a number of privately-held companies. He received a M.Sc. from the Technical University of Denmark, an M.D. from the University of Copenhagen and an MBA from INSEAD.

David A. Mann has served as a member of our board of directors since April 2006. From 1999 to 2002, Mr. Mann served as the chief financial officer at Immunex Corporation. Since his retirement from Immunex in 2002, Mr. Mann has served on the boards of trustees for the Western Washington University Foundation and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Mr. Mann received an MBA from the University of Washington, and a B.A. from Western Washington University.
Mr. Heron helped found QuatRx and has served as a member of our board of directors since our inception in November 2000. Through Frazier Healthcare Ventures, he was a founding investor in QuatRx. Mr. Heron has held various positions with Frazier Healthcare Ventures since September 1999, and is currently a general partner. Fraizer Healthcare Ventures manages venture capital funds that invest in early, mid and late stage biopharma, medical device and healthcare service companies. areas. Prior to Frazier Healthcare Ventures, Mr. Heron was with McKinsey & Co.'s biotechnology consulting practice from 1992 to 1999, working on corporate strategy, M&A, product launch, corporate partnering and research prioritization. Mr. Heron obtained a B.A. from, and was a Morehead Scholar at, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. In addition to QuatRx, he also serves on the boards of Avera Pharmaceuticals, Chimerix, Cerexa Pharmaceuticals, Informed Medical Communication Panomics and Trubion Pharmaceuticals.

Scott Minick is a Managing Director with ARCH, joining the firm as a Venture Partner in 1998. Mr. Minick has been instrumental in the startup, development and financing of numerous portfolio companies including XenoPort (XNPT), FastTrack Systems, MedVantx, Achaogen, Amphora Discovery, Celula, Ensemble Discovery, and Sorbent Therapeutics. He serves as a board director for Achaogen, Amphora Discovery, Celula, FastTrack Systems, Optobionics and Sorbent Therapeutics. Mr. Minick currently serves as Chairman of the Board for MedVantx and formerly served as Chairman of Xcyte Therapies (XCYT) through its IPO in 2004 and subsequent acquisition of Cyclacel Pharmaceuticals (CYCL). He also previously served as Executive Chairman of Amphora Discovery. From 1995 until 1998, Mr. Minick was director, President and COO of SEQUUS Pharmaceuticals, a public biopharmaceutical company that was acquired by GlaxoSmithKline. From 1994 to 1995, he served as a director, President and CEO of OncoTherapeutics, a private biotechnology company. Prior to that, Mr. Minick co-founded and was a director, President and CEO of LXR Biotechnology from startup through its IPO. From 1981 to 1993, he was an executive of Baxter Healthcare, holding leadership positions in the device, service and diagnostics businesses. He received his postgraduate training in neurobiology at the Salk Institute, an M.B.A. from Northwestern University and a B.A. with Honors from the University of California at San Diego.
