Uniek is a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of home furnishing and craft products. The Company was founded in 1988, and, is headquartered in Waunakee, Wisconsin. The Pyle Group, a Madison, WI based investment firm with expertise in marketing and business management, purchased the Company in 1998. Since that time it has become one of the largest and fastest growing suppliers of ready-made frames. Uniek supplies a wide variety of picture frames, mirrors, craft products and photo storage units to major retailers under the brand names of Uniek, National, Thomasville, Martha Stewart, as well as numerous private labels. Uniek possess a differentiated supply chain that combines domestic manufacturing with overseas sourcing capabilities. The Waunakee plant facility was built in 1989, and was enlarged to 145,000 square feet in 1992, and then to the present size of 240,000 square feet in 2001. Our machinery is state-of-the-art, and many of the processes are vertically integrated. Our customers include Wal-Mart, Target, Dollar General, Home Depot, Family Dollar, Kmart, Shopko, Walgreen's, Office Depot, Hobby Lobby, Michael's and Woodmans to name a few larger accounts. Uniek products are exported as well, primarily to Canada.
