Union Drilling, Inc. (Union Drilling, Company or we) provides contract land drilling services and equipment, primarily to natural gas producers. We presently focus our operations in selected natural gas production regions in the United States, primarily the Appalachian and Arkoma Basins, as well as the Fort Worth Basins Barnett Shale formation. In addition to our drilling rigs, we provide the drilling crews and most of the ancillary equipment needed to operate our drilling rigs. We do not invest in oil and natural gas properties.

Dan E. Steigerwald has served as our Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary since June 1, 2003, and as our Treasurer since August 3, 2005. From January 2000 to June 1, 2003 he served as our Controller. He has over 29 years of financial experience, including over 19 years in the oil and natural gas industry. He was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Omega Environmental, a Seattle-based environmental/construction company, from 1994 to March 1997. He also worked from 1981 to 1994 at Smith International, a worldwide supplier of oilfield products and services. During his fifteen years with Smith, he served in various financial capacities, including Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Controller from 1989 to 1992. Mr.Steigerwald is a C.P.A. He received a Bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1964 and an M.B.A. from The Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College in 1970.

David S. Goldberg was appointed the Company's Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary on August 7, 2007. Prior to joining Union Drilling, Mr. Goldberg most recently served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for RadioShack Corporation, a consumer electronics specialty retailer, where he served in various legal and managerial positions since 1999. From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Goldberg served as Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel of InterTAN, Inc., then a publicly-traded consumer electronics retailer. From 1987 to 1995, Mr. Goldberg was in private law practice with the international law firm of Haynes and Boone, LLP where he specialized in corporate securities and public finance law. Mr. Goldberg graduated from Texas Christian University in 1984 with a B.S. in Economics. He received his Juris Doctor degree from St. Mary's University School of Law in 1987 and has been a practicing attorney in Texas since 1987.

Thomas H. O Neill, Jr. has been a director of Union Drilling since December 1997. Mr. O Neill is a 1963 graduate of Canisius College, Buffalo, New York. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board (non-executive) of Union Drilling. Mr. O Neill has over 29 years of domestic and international experience in the field of petroleum exploration and financing. He served on Governor Cuomo s Advisory Board for Oil, Gas and Solution Mining for the State of New York from 1981 to 1986, served on the New York State Banking Board from 1994 through 1997, and was appointed by Governor Pataki to the New York State Dormitory Authority Board where he served for six years as Vice Chairman. Mr. O Neill is a General Partner of Somerset Capital Partners, a private investment company, and a director of Firebird Holdings Limited, a logistics and contract warehousing business with operations in Eastern Europe, Russia and the United Kingdom. Mr. O Neill has drilled or has acquired ownership in approximately 1,600 wells, most of which were drilled throughout the Appalachian Basin. In addition, Mr. O Neill has bought and sold many pipeline systems, various oil and gas companies and well-servicing organizations located in the Appalachian Basin.

Ronald Harrell has been a director of Union Drilling since August 2006. Mr. Harrell joined Ryder Scott Co. as a reservoir engineer in 1968 and became vice-president in 1998. Mr. Harrell served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ryder Scott Co. from May 2000 to January 2006. Mr. Harrell is the past chairman of the Oil and Gas Reserves Committee of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Presently, he is an observer on that committee.

Mr. Glauthier is the Chief Executive of TJG Energy Associates, LLC, a consulting and executive advisory services company focused on serving clients in the energy sector. Prior to founding TJG Energy Associates, he was President and CEO of the Electricity Innovation Institute (an affiliate of EPRI) from 2001 to 2004, Deputy Secretary and Chief Operating Officer of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) from 1999 to 2001, and Associate Director for Natural Resources, Energy and Science of the Office of Management and Budget in the White House from 1993 to 1998.

President and Chief Executive Officer : Prior to joining Somerset , Mr. Lang was President and Chief Executive Officer of Coast Energy Group (CEG) and Executive Vice President of CornerStone Propane GP, Inc. Mr. Lang began his natural gas career with Tenneco Gas in early 1986 as director of Marketing and Transportation Services. He participated in much of the transition of Tenneco Gas during the Order 436/500/636 era. Mr. Lang has served as a member of the Finance Committee and the Nominating Committee of, and as a Board Liaison to the Gas Supply Marketing Section Committee of, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Southern Gas Association.
