United Airlines

Elected to United's board of directors in 2002, John H. Walker is the chief executive officer of Global Brass and Copper, Inc. the leading manufacturer and distributor of copper and copper-alloy sheet, strip, plate, foil, rod and fabricated components in North America. Prior to joining Global Brass and Copper, Inc. Mr. Walker was the president and chief executive officer of The Boler Company (the holding company of Hendrickson International, a commercial heavy-duty vehicle supplier) from 2003 to 2006 and president and chief executive officer of Weirton Steel Corp from 2000 to 2003. Earlier in his career, Walker was president of Kaiser Aluminum's flat rolled business and an associate with McKinsey & Company. Walker also serves on the boards of Delphi Corporation, Nucor Corporation and the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago. He received his bachelor's degree in engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a master's degree with distinction in business administration from Carnegie Mellon University.

Andrew P. Studdert is chief operating officer and executive vice president of United Airlines. He is based at the companyis headquarters in suburban Chicago. Named to the position in July 1999, Studdert is responsible for all operational groups pertaining to United's fleets, including Maintenance Operations, Operations Services, Systems Operations Control and the company's Y2K preparations. Prior to assuming the role of COO and executive vice president, Studdert served as senior vice president - Fleet Operations from 1997, overseeing all aspects of United's fleet operations, including engine, line and airframe maintenance, engineering, system operations control, corporate safety and security and United's corporate quality assurance. Before that, Studdert served as senior vice president of the Information Services Division and chief information officer, managing Unitedis worldwide technology and information services. Studdert came to United in 1995 from First Interstate Bancorp in Los Angeles, where he served in a number of executive positions. These included: running a $300 million technology company, First Interstate Services Company; heading consumer marketing and operations for First Interstate Bancorp; and serving as chairman and chief executive officer of First Interstate Mortgage Company. In addition, he was Chairman of CIRRUS, the worldwide ATM network. He holds a bacheloris degree from San Francisco State University in San Francisco.

Bruce "Buck" Rodger is the Chief of Operations of Jada Aeronautics, INC., First Officer for United Airlines, and Commander of a Northrop F-5B fighter aircraft. Mr. Rodger has a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering Technology and a M.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering. He has over 25 years of aviation experience. As an Air Force pilot, Mr. Rodger flew most aircraft in the USAF inventory (fighter, bomber, cargo, and trainer). Mr. Rodger was an instructor pilot at the USAF Test Pilot School, Edwards Air Force Base, California; and was assigned to the Air Force One detail. He worked closely with the Secret Service to plan and execute Presidential transportation requirements. He is a Gulf war veteran, and is currently still serving the USAF as a reserve pilot. Upon retiring as Major from the USAF, Mr. Rodger flew corporate aircraft for several Microsoft executives. As a current pilot for United Airlines, Mr. Rodger is type rated on the following aircraft: Boeing 757/767/747-400, Lear-35 and has an LOA in the Northrop F-5/T-38. Mr. Rodger has managed the delivery of numerous aircraft and helicopters to private clients. Some of these aircraft include the Falcon 50EX, MD- 520 Notor (No Tail Rotor), Northrop F-5B, and other aircraft. Mr. Rodger has also managed the design and establishment of FAR's Part 135 and Part 91 Aircraft Operations that include aircraft pilot training, aircraft management and maintenance. Mr. Rodger is also a Corporate Safety Pilot, Safety Instructor and an FAA Representative for a privately owned F-5B fighter aircraft. As Chief Technical Officer, Mr. Rodger will be responsible for company-wide technology matters. As Executive Vice President Sales, Mr. Rodger will be responsible for our Aircraft Sales Division.

Dennis Cary is United's senior vice president and Chief Marketing and Customer Officer. He is based at the company's headquarters in Chicago. Named to the position in October 2008, Cary leads all aspects of United's marketing and customer strategy and has direct responsibility for advertising, customer communications, united.com and Travel Options by United. He and the Marketing team collaborate closely with Airport Operations, Onboard Service and the Customer Contact Centers, and help manage all customer-facing initiatives. Prior to his current position, Cary served as United's vice president-Revenue Management, where he was responsible for pricing, inventory management, Global Distribution System (GDS) management and revenue forecasting. Before joining United in June 2004, Cary spent 13 years at American Airlines where he served in a variety of leadership roles in the airline's marketing, sales and revenue management organizations, including head of Marketing, Sales, and Reservations for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region, and president of American's AAdvantage program. Cary holds a master's degree in business administration from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, and a bachelor's degree in computer science from California State University, Northridge. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theater and on the Travel and Hospitality Advisory Board for Teradata Corporation. He also was a founding member of the editorial board for the International Journal of Revenue and Pricing Management.

Array

Prior to assuming his current position, Atkinson served as senior vice president of Worldwide Sales and Alliances for the company, where he was responsible for all worldwide sales, reservations and alliances activities for the Worldwide Sales and Alliances division. This division identifies and maximizes global sales opportunities for both the international and North America Sales and Reservations divisions. In that role, he also oversaw all aspects of United's role in Star Alliance, the first comprehensive global airline network, including partnerships with airlines spanning the globe.

Keith Halbert is senior vice president and chief information officer for United Airlines. He is based at United's operations center in suburban Chicago. Halbert joined United in January 2008 and is responsible for the effective implementation and management of technology solutions to support all aspects of United's businesses and programs. Before joining United, Halbert was vice president and CIO of Electronic Data Systems (EDS). At EDS, Halbert led the company's digital transformation efforts and implemented a three-year IT transformation plan that consistently improved the company's performance and reduced operating expenses. Prior to joining EDS, Halbert served as managing director of knowledge management for the Feld Group, Inc., a privately held technology management consultancy acquired by EDS. While at Feld, Halbert held a number of leadership positions, including a three-year role as senior vice president and chief development officer for Delta Airlines, where he developed and implemented applications and infrastructure to support Delta's customer experience, revenue management, airline operations and enterprise shared services business strategies. Additionally at Feld, Halbert served for two years as senior vice president and chief development officer for First Data Resources, where he developed and led a multi-year IT transformation effort focused on restructuring legacy systems to improve client service. He also served in a one-year role as senior vice president and chief development officer for Home Depot, where he developed and led their IT transformation initiative. Halbert holds a bachelor's degree in computer information systems and a master's degree in business administration from Jacksonville University.

Jim Keenan is senior vice president of United Services at United's maintenance center in San Francisco. Named to the position in August 2008, he has oversight of United's global maintenance operation, including both base and line maintenance functions. He is responsible for the safety and operational reliability of United's fleet worldwide, overseeing administrative, engineering, sales, planning and production support of airframes, engines and components, as well as environmental compliance and continuous improvement. Most recently, Keenan was senior vice president and general manager of Pratt & Whitney Global Services Partners, one of the most extensive commercial engines Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul service networks in the industry. Prior to Pratt & Whitney, Keenan spent 14 years at United, where he served as the vice president of engineering and technical support and had responsibility for the design and optimization of maintenance programs, the modification of aircraft, engines and components, and the performance of aircraft. Keenan holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Santa Clara University.

Prior to assuming his current position, Foland was vice president of North America Sales, where he was responsible for leading the North America Sales organization and overseeing United's sales transformation strategy. Before joining United in January 2005, Foland served as a principal at ZS Associates, a global sales and marketing consulting firm. He was responsible for consulting with sales organizations in more than a dozen industries and led large-scale sales and marketing transformation initiatives. Before his tenure at ZS Associates, he held positions in the automotive and aerospace industries. He has been a guest lecturer on sales organization topics at both the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. Foland also has contributed to several books on sales force performance and design. He serves as an executive committee member and board member of the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau and a board member of the Allied Leadership Council of the National Business Travel Association. Foland holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan.

Joe Kolshak is United's senior vice president of Operations. He is based at the company's maintenance center in San Francisco. Named to the position in June 2008, Kolshak oversees United Services, Flight Operations and Operations Control. He is responsible for all aspects of the company's flight operations, as well as the operational reliability of United's fleet worldwide, overseeing administrative, engineering, sales, planning and production support of airframes, engines and components, as well as continuous improvement. Kolshak also will over see system operations control, including flight dispatch and operations analysis. Prior to his current position, he served as chief operating officer for Midwest Express Airlines. Before that, Kolshak was executive vice president of operations for Delta Air Lines, where he was responsible for flight operations; technical operations; the operations control center; safety; security; airport customer service; Delta's regional service, Comair, Inc.; Delta Connection Academy, the airline's flight school; and Delta AirElite, a charter private jet service. In his 20 years of airline experience, Kolshak also has served in a number of flight management positions and as director of investor relations.

Kevin Knight is Senior Vice President - Planning for United. He is based at the company's headquarters in Chicago. Named to the position in December 2006, he is responsible for all aspects of United and United Express network planning, aircraft scheduling and revenue management, which includes both pricing and allocation of the airline's seat inventory. Prior to this, Knight was vice president-Resource Planning, where he was responsible for route planning, scheduling and capacity planning for United's domestic and international network, Ted and United Express. Previously, he held a position in Marketing as director-Brand and Product Development. Knight has also served in a variety of management positions with responsibility for schedule planning, United Express, customer relations, product development and market research at United. Before joining United in 1993, he served as director of international planning for Northwest Airlines and was responsible for planning Northwest's international operation and developing global alliances. Knight holds a master's degree from the University of Utah and a bachelor's degree from Westminster College.

Marc Ugol is United's senior vice president of Human Resources. He is based at the company's headquarters in Chicago. Named to the position in June 2008, Ugol provides strategic leadership to United's worldwide human resources functions, including talent strategy, personnel policies and issues, benefits and compensation. Prior to joining United, Ugol was senior vice president of Human Resources at Constellation Energy, where he had overall responsibility for the company's human resources division, overseeing all compensation and benefits, staffing, labor relations and organizational effectiveness matters. Prior to that position, Ugol held strategic human resources leadership positions in the high-tech industry from 1994 through 2002, when it experienced rapid changes. His experience includes companies such as Tellabs, Platinum Technology International and System Software Associates. From 1980-1994, Ugol served in various U.S. domestic and international human resources management roles at Amoco Corporation. He holds a bachelor's degree from the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University and serves on the Board of Directors of the Human Resources Policy Association in Washington.

Doug McKeen is senior vice president - Labor Relations for United Airlines. He is based at United's headquarters in downtown Chicago. Named to the position in March 2008, McKeen is responsible for development and implementation of the labor strategy and the negotiation and administration of all labor agreements governing United's represented employees, including the coordination of international bargaining. Immediately prior to joining United, McKeen was senior vice president - Employee Relations and Communications at ASTAR Air Cargo, where he led all human resources, communications and labor relations functions. Before joining ASTAR, McKeen held executive labor relations leadership roles at US Airways, Northwest Airlines and America West Airlines. He also was a partner with Eclat Consulting, providing labor relations strategy and counsel to several airlines negotiating contracts with pilots, mechanics, fleet service and agent personnel. McKeen holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Iowa and a juris doctor degree from Hamline University School of Law.

Sean Donohue is United's senior vice president of Flight Operations and Onboard Service. He is based at the company's worldwide headquarters in suburban Chicago. Named to the position in August 2006, Donohue oversees an organization of more than 20,000 pilot and flight attendant professionals, including all aspects of flight deck and flight attendant operations, flight safety and customer experience, as well as scheduling, training and technology for both pilots and flight attendants. Additionally, he also oversees United's food and beverage operations.

Alan Butterfield was appointed Vice President, Air Canada Maintenance & Engineering in February, 2007. In this role , Alan is responsible for Air Canada 's maintenance programs, core engineering, fleet management, airworthiness, maintenance operation control, as well as line and cabin maintenance. He also has oversight of all vendor management functions, including the Air Canada / ACTS vendor relationship. Alan was formerly Vice President of Airframe and Line Maintenance at United Airlines. A position held since 2004, he was responsible for worldwide airframe and line maintenance operations for United's operating fleet. He previously held a number of senior positions at United, responsible for the airline's heavy airframe maintenance and line maintenance at various US bases. Alan holds a bachelor's degree in aviation maintenance management from Embry Riddle University .

Prior to joining United in 1997, Anderson served in a variety of senior executive positions in Washington, D.C., including chief of staff to former Iowa Congressman Jim Lightfoot and as a special assistant for Economic Development to Iowa Senator Charles Grassley. He was appointed to a senior executive service position at the Department of Agriculture by former President George Bush in 1992.

Eric Wilson is General Manager a " Thailand for United Airlines, the worlda s second largest airlines. He is the primary and official company representative and is responsible for all passenger sales and marketing activities in Thailand. Before being appointed General Manager, he held the position of Regional Manager-International and Regulatory Affairs at Uniteda s world headquarters in suburban Chicago. Wilson was responsible for monitoring civil aviation bilateral developments and regulatory matters affecting Uniteda s operations in the Asia-Pacific region. He served as a communications link between the U.S. departments of State and Transportation and the airlines.

Ilaria Dei Amarat has been working in the travel industry since 1998 previously as a Service Director for United Airlines in Dublin Ireland and now as a Sales and Marketing manager for Jordan Tours & Travel. With years of experience and language qualifications she is considered a great asset for the company and strives to give the best costumer service, always exceeding our customers expectations.

Maziebelle joined Casto in June 2007 as the Director of Global Sales after 29 years with United Airlines. She has extensive airline experience that spans reservations, inflight service, sales, airport operations training and customer service. Prior to United, Mazie was a Sales Manager for Hertz Rent-a-Car. Mazie holds her bachelor's degree from Santa Clara University.

Silvia is a certified ITIL Service Manager, ISO20000 consultant and Six Sigma Blackbelt. She has more than 20 years of IT experience ranging from mainframe program development to Desktop Strategy Program Manager. As Program Manager for a large manufacturing company, Silvia was responsible for implementing ITIL which resulted in a 20% reduction of operating expenses. As an IT Service Management Consultant and Educator, Silvia had the opportunity to work with several Companies to design, develop and implement ITIL. Silvia is now the Director of Service Management at United Airlines.

Sehnaz Engur was born and raised in Turkey. She moved to the US in 1996 to study Industrial Engineering at Purdue University. She later completed her Masters degree in Operations Research at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA. She was actively involved in the Turkish Student Associations in both schools. She has lived in Chicago since 2001 and has been a member of TACA. She currently works as a Manager at United Airlines, Revenue Management and also pursues an MBA degree at Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. She is also a volunteer teacher at the TACA Ataturk School.

As a buyer for United Airlines, Arnie is attached to the corporate world which is worlds away from Donner Summit. Arnie uses every opportunity to get away from the hectic urban world to enjoy time in the mountains. His time in the mountains has helped him realize that the Sierra is a limited resource and so needs preserving. In order to make preservation possible, Arnie sees education of the public as critical. Arnie lives in the Bay Area and lives to escape to the Sierra.

Bob graduated from the US Naval Academy and served 8 years active duty and 4 years reserve duty as a Navy Pilot. He presently is a Captain for United Airlines. Bob is married with two children in the Coronado school system. Not busy enough with the demands of a full time job and family life, he received his real estate license in 2005. Bob enjoys the challenge of real estate and understands the desire of families to reside in this community.

Bob White is a flight attendant with United Airlines. When he's not out flying the friendly skies he loves fly fishing, hiking, kayaking, playing music, and singing. Bob has a Master's degree in Divinity from Golden Gate Seminary. Bob loves to dance and attributes dancing to finding the love of his life, fellow board member, Gracie White.

Dave Collins is a pilot with United Airlines and the Broker/Owner of Heartland Realty LLC, a local real estate company. He served in the US Air Force as an F-15C Instructor Pilot and is currently a Major in the Air Force Reserves. Dave graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering and from NC State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. He has coached recreational youth soccer, baseball, and basketball. His son plays for the U10 Ares team. Dave is also the Team Manager for the Ares U-10 team.

David A. Smith is a long-time Evergreen, Colorado resident who has been actively involved in residential real estate for over 15 years. David graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Business Administration with an aviation emphasis. David has been actively working with The Rocky Mountain Real Estate Group for over a decade and really enjoys the exceptional teamwork, education and ethics of this great company. Dixon Smith: Chief Engineer, for the Miss Budweiser Unlimited Hydroplane Team and President of DSS Inc. DSS specializes in development, research and computerized data acquisition for boat racing and aircraft racing teams. DSS manufactured and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all onboard computer equipment in the Budweiser Unlimited Hydroplane. Dixon is also a Captain with United Airlines.

Eric brings his lifelong passion for aviation to the L. J. Shaw team. A graduate of the University of Illinois where he received flight training, he further honed his skill at Parks College and Belleville Area College in St. Louis, MO. Eric has been with United Airlines since 1995 and is currently a 727 Captain. He pilots the L. J. Shaw airplane and consults on aviation claims.

John joined LabWorks after serving in the US Air Force, and working as a heavy equipment operator for United Airlines. He has an extensive mechanical background, and has been an excellent addition to the LabWorks team. John has attended all applicable factory training classes so you can be assured he will provide you with the finest service. He is based in the South Bay, providing quick response to our customers in the area.

Kit Darby is the president of Aviation Information Resources (AIR, Inc.). Currently a B767 captain with United Airlines, Mr. Darby has interviewed 20 times with 16 different airlines and worked with three majors and one national airline since 1978. He has a BS in Aeronautical Studies from Embry-Riddle AU. Kit is coauthor of the Simulator Flying Guide, Beginners' Guide to Becoming a Career Pilot, the World Wide Pilot Supply Report, World Wide Jet Transport Simulator Study and the new Pilot Career Guide. Kit's flight experience includes 15,000 hours total time, 10,000 hours jet time. ATP with B737, B727, DC-8, and B767 type ratings, flight/instrument and engineer instructor, commercial instrument helicopter pilot, plus military instructor/instrument examiner ratings in two helicopters and five fixed-wing multi-engine aircraft.

Dana Garrison along with his wife Marjo are located in Albuquerque, NM. Dana's responsibilities are for marketing and promoting our schools and services. He is the person you will deal with most when signing up for a program. Marjo helps out part time and deals mainly with confirmations and helping students before they depart. Marjo is also a flight attendant for United Airlines. Dana lived full time in Costa Rica from 1995 through 1998. He and Marjo are also the main counselors for our Summer Youth Spanish Camps.

Mr. Witmondt is involved in the marketing of commercial, retail and residential properties in the Woodmont Properties portfolio. Mr. Witmondt has over ten years experience as a commercial real estate broker in which time he has represented United Airlines, Zurich N.A. and most notable, he represented Boston Scientific in a transaction that earned the New Jersey Industrial and Office Professionals Deal of the Year award. Mr. Witmondt resides in Manhattan and is a graduate of the University of Maryland.

A flight attendant at United Airlines since 1986, Robert Buess became intimately acquainted with Microsoft Word when he volunteered as editor and page designer of his union's local newsletter. This involved a top to bottom redesign of its format, a job for which Word was perfectly suited. "The previous editor had used a basic desktop publishing program, but I chose Word as a more powerful and more precise tool. I haven't for a minute regretted my choice." Bob hopes his newsletter experience can help aspiring "Wordies" become productive and have fun using the most popular Windows word processor.

Steve Lynch has been working with Don Sullivan on the commercialization of the Green Polymer process for five years. Together they have succeeded in getting the technology licensed and in production. Prior to that, Mr. Lynch served as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of a startup company which attempted to commercialize a different process for recycling plastic waste. Colonel Lynch retired in 1999 after 22 years as an Air Force Pilot, having served in Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, and Central America. Mr. Lynch has also worked as a financial consultant with a private money manager specializing in the area of pension fund management. Steve is currently a Captain for United Airlines. Mr. Lynch graduated cum laude from Michigan State University in 1978 with a BS in Business.

Captain Wallach has been the Master Chairman of the United chapter of the Air Line Pilots Association since January 1, 2008. He is a current B-747-400 Captain based in San Francisco and was hired by United in 1978. Captain Wallach was elected to serve as a director effective January 1, 2008 by the United Airlines Pilots Master Executive Council, ALPA, the holder of the Company's Class Pilot MEC stock.

Mr. O Connor joined Commonwealth Edison Company in 1963. He became president in 1977, a director in 1978 and chairman and chief executive officer in 1980. In 1994 he was also named chairman and chief executive officer of Unicom Corporation, which then became the parent company of Commonwealth Edison Company. He retired in 1998. Mr. O Connor is a director of Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation, UAL Corporation, United Airlines and Armstrong World Industries, Inc. Corning director since 1984. Age 71.

Ms. Bush has served as a Director of ManTech since 2006. Ms. Bush founded Bush International, a global consulting firm in 1991. From 1989 to 1991, Ms. Bush served as Managing Director and Head of the Federal Housing Finance Board, the oversight body for the nation s 12 Federal Home Loan Banks. Prior to 1989, Ms. Bush was the Vice President and Head of International Finance at the Federal National Mortgage Associate (Fannie Mae). From 1982 to 1984, Ms. Bush served as U.S. Alternate Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), a position appointed by the President of the United States and confirmed by the Senate. In that capacity, she worked with the U.S. Treasury Department to formulate policy on IMF lending and global economic matters. Ms. Bush serves on the board of directors of The Pioneer Family of Mutual Funds, Briggs & Stratton Corporation, Discover Financial Services, Marriott International, Inc and UAL Corporation (United Airlines).

Mr. Almeida retired in 2001 as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Heller Financial, Inc., a commercial finance and investment company, a position he had held since 1995. He served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Heller Financial from 1987 until 1995. Before that service, he was an executive with Citicorp/Citibank, a full service bank, serving in various capacities. Mr. Almeida is a director of UAL Corporation, CARE(USA) and High Jump. Previously, he was a member of the boards of E-Funds Corp. and The Marmon Group.

David serves as the Chief Administrative Officer for Chicago Public Schools, overseeing all of the educational support departments, including Finance, Budget, Operations, Human Resources, Technology, Security and Procurement. He was formerly President and Chief Executive Officer of the Chicago Board of Trade and is a former Vice Chairman and Director of Bank One Corporation. David also serves in the following capacities: Trustee of the Glenwood School for Boys; Trustee of the Museum of Science and Industry; Trustee and Treasurer of the board of The Art Institute of Chicago; and Member of the Board of Managers of the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. He is a graduate of Harvard University and earned an MBA from The University of Chicago.
